FRIDAY FAVORITES 1st ONE OF 2024

Hello 2024! I see you! I don’t really do a word of the year, but I am making a list of the things I’m letting go of this year! If you want to check it out, I shared an Instagram Reel this week entitled Letting go in the Snow, lol! A winter Blast is headed our way..YAY! Don’t plan on letting go of Friday Favorites. I love sharing the things I love!

Here was my favorite dressed up outfit! We finally got to try a new restaurant in town with friends that has had all five-star reviews. I really liked the outfit I put together that night!

Look at these 2 cute pieces Mr. Nine got me. I loved the Top so much; I ordered the tan as well. The Leggings are plum and so pretty with a perfect fit.

LOVE these Sneakers so much, I got my mom a pair and a back-up pair when these wear out.Do you ever do that?

4. Necklace

Several of you have been mentioning this brand. Susan Shaw. My mom got me one of her necklaces for Christmas and her piece are exquisite. Love the statement, the chain lengths and toggle.

Look how Pretty. Every year we have red velvet cake in some form but one of the girls wanted a carrot cake, so made that AND red velvet cupcakes.

I made lots of other beautiful foods, too, including three charcuterie boards, but I might save them for inspiration next season, lol.

BIRTHDAY BOY

Speaking of family, this precious boy has a birthday today! He and his beautiful fiancé are headed to New York City to live it up. Here is one of his favorite pictures from this past year, running his first half marathon in their current city of Baltimore! So proud! He’s worked so hard, and his workouts have kept him busy while living in a city they don’t love. Always so hard to be away from them on their birthdays!

FRIDAY FAVORITES ALL THE FESTIVE FEELS

If you know me, you know that I try to get as much done by December 1st as I can, so I can immerse myself in the season and do all the festive things. I created this title before I knew this first part of December would be squashed by sickness this week for myself and Mr. Nine. Not only have we been down for the count, but we did not get to celebrate our oldest's birthday with him due to not wanting to expose him, Lo, or the twins to any sickness. I think that’s been the hardest part of it all besides being miserable. Mom brought us chicken soup and we’ve been hunkered down watching house renovation shows and Christmas movies so I guess it could be worse, lol. Unfortunately, we probably won’t get to attend a party tomorrow night that I’ve been looking forward to for months. Got to get better and pack in the festiveness. Dang it all!

But I’ve got some pictures to share! These girls are doing great! I can’t wait to snuggle them after we’re better!

2. Mr. Christmas Winner

I couldn’t believe it, but I won a contest on Instagram with my friend who runs the Instagram Walmart Favs, and with the original Mr. Christmas! Aren’t these items just beautiful! They’re going to fit in perfect with my candy Christmas corner in he Kitchen. Mr. Christmas does it right, vintage cuteness at its best and many items are available at Walmart!!

They've been in business 90 years!!

20 WINTER OUTFITS WITH FABULOUS FRIENDS

We're BAACK for Winter! How much FUN is this! My dear friend Jill from Doused in Pink had a great idea for us ladies to re-create each other’s outfits for the seasons. HERE we shared our Fall Interpretatios. Now it's our Winter looks! We each picked a favorite outfit of each other’s and re-created it in our way. I just love how all of these turned out!

As you may remember, this is a group of Blogger friends who meet up in Chicago. You may remember our first meet up at RPM Italian and the fun one when we went to Windy City Live last in Dec of 2019. Of course we were planning on meeting up in 2020, but darn Covid. We do occasionally enjoy zoom calls but hoping to see each other IRL this year!

First up is my dear friend Caroline from The Petite Fashionista.

This was such a perfect outfit to re-create of Caroline’s because she is all heart! Just the sweetest! She’s really been getting back into blogging and always has the cutest outfits on Instagram! She is a little petite dynamo and I adore her!

Caroline actually works at Evereve, where her adorable heart sweatshirt is from, but I had the sweater that was almost identical, so it was perfect. We had a snowy day here when I wore this, so I threw on my black glossy Hunter boots!

Next up is my dear friend Jill from Doused in Pink and it was an easy choice which outfit of hers I wanted to create!

It is always so easy to re-create Jill‘s outfits because we have very similar styles! She is the most supportive and loyal friend, and I am so blessed to have her in my life! This was a fun one because I had all these pieces in my closet, but Jill gave me a totally new perspective on how to wear them all together! Just love the pops of leopard and the sweet little peek of lace!

KATHRINE

Next up is the amazing Kathrine Eldridge!

Kathrine is my fellow IU mom and such a talent in so many ways. Kathrine gave me all the Valentine vibes! I remember her sharing this sweet red striped sweater a couple times and falling in love with the ruffles. I didn’t have one with ruffles, but I did get a cute hoodie, so I put a little bit more casual spin on it but kept the fabulous tall boots.

LAURA

Next up is the beautiful Laura from I do deClaire.

Dear Laura is a gem! I mean just look at that smile! Laura is very motivating and such a great mom! I love her sweet style and grace! Always love her outfits too and this one she shared as a date night outfit. Wish we could double date, I think our hubby's would-be fast buds! A favorite color is rust and Laura and I both happen to own a rust mini skirt. In fact, in our Fall re-creations, she shared one of mine in this skirt and had to do it too because I loved how she styled hers! I added a hat and a lil leopard to mine.
