FRIDAY FAVORITES...MAY YOUR DAYS BE MERRY & BRIGHT

Happy Friday! I know we bloggers often start our posts with our fast time flies but seeing as next Friday is Christmas Eve and that the older we get, time really does go faster, I can’t help myself, LOL! I also can’t help myself by telling you how much you all mean to me, and I hope you have the sweetest and most festive weekend!! Here are the jam-packed favs!

Festive Day at the Museum

Finally got to do something festive week with my mama that I had been looking forward to. A local museum, which is a beautiful restored residential home in our county, had Christmas tours where all the rooms were decorated to depict Christmas movies. Then, you voted at the end and then the winner got money for their chosen charity. Let’s just say it was Christmas Vacation that was our Fav, LOL! So cute. We were unable to take photos in all the rooms except the basement and greenhouse, but it was beautiful. We also toured another home and had lunch at a sweet café in town.

1. Christmas Punch & Buckeyes

I made this amazing Christmas punch last year for our family get together and it was a huge hit so you can bet it’s getting made again. All the fruit is optional but trust me when I say it adds to the flavor and makes everything so festive. The almond extract may seem strange, but it adds the perfect hint of that something! I could drink a gallon of this! Also note, I use the Ocean Spray pomegranate cranberry and I use Dole pineapple juice.

Christmas Punch

6 cups cranberry juice or pomegranate cranberry juice

3 cups pineapple juice

1 Tbsp almond extract

2-liter ginger ale

1 bottle of Prosecco or Bubbly

1 (12 oz.) bag fresh cranberries, frozen (optional)

2 fresh limes, sliced (optional)

2 fresh oranges, sliced (optional)

Ice

 

Pour cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and almond extract into a large pitcher or drink dispenser and mix well. Pour in ginger ale and Prosecco give it a quick stir.

Add in cranberries, lime slices orange slices, and ice. Serve within a few hours for best results as ginger ale will lose its fizz. If you don’t want too much dilution from the ice, freeze your cranberries or freeze some of the juice mixture in ice cube or silicone trays.

Buckeyes galore! I make lots of treats but the ones I continue to make despite hating to dip them in chocolate are the buckeyes, just because my family loves them so much! Here is just one of the many containers and I was so exhausted last week after dipping all these balls, LOL!

WHAT ALL I MAKE...Oh heck might as well just show you a little of everything I put on the treat trays. I put them together and made my rounds Wednesday and the recipients were delighted! LOVE doing it for them.

2. Little Red Truck Fragrance Plug-In

I cannot even tell you how much I love this fragrance plug-in! This red truck is from Yankee Candle and so I ordered it knowing it would be cute, but little did I know how cute! Then I got an email saying they were out of the Christmas cookie fragrance which I wanted but I found it at half the price at Walmart (Who knew Walmart had Yankee??) anyway along with some sparkling cinnamon. Imagine my surprise when I plugged it in one morning while still dark in the kitchen and it lit up including the perfect little headlights! This would make such a great gift and it has brought me so much JOY! Even Mr. Nine thought it was super cute!

I just love that velour has made a comeback! I used to wear these type jogging sets in the 80s and 90s. This One is from my beloved Boston Proper and just look at the beautiful pink shade and faux fur collar!

BELIEVING IN BOSTON PROPER

Raise your hand if you’ve had clothing brands that you’ve loved for years! Me Me!!! I remember getting my first Boston Proper catalog as a young adult and going crazy! Everything was so sophisticated and beautiful! Fast forward a few decades and they are stronger than ever and talk about proud to collaborate with them!

The minute I saw this red lace hi-low number I was sold. It’s one of the most unusual and beautiful tops I’ve ever seen, and it packs such a punch with a beautiful red! I paired it with Boston Proper’s Faux Leather Leggings and festive it is!

Many of you loved this top simply for the gold and the sequins. It is lined, which Is always good when something has sequins, not overly heavy and a nice flattering surplice front.

 

OK, let’s talk about the Dress. And just wait until you see it in the back! Gorgeous and such a beautiful wine shade. The little intricate lacing overlay has small shimmery sequins on it. They are small and real light just to give it the perfect shimmer! The sheath fit with the high mock neck is so flattering.

CHICWISH REVIEW TWO....LOVING IT ALL

My love for Chicwish runs so deep that I couldn’t just give you one review (see that post HERE), I had to give you two! I, happen to think, that the selections from Chicwish would make wonderful gifts for you and the ladies in your life! I have four more beautiful outfits with Chicwish pieces to make you smile today!

 

I think it’s safe to say this might be my favorite outfit EVER and my favorite pieces from Chicwish! Just look at that bow on the Bowknot Knit Sweater! I added a beret because I thought it held some French flair. This SKIRT!!!! Their tulle skirts are so wonderful. They are lined and they don’t just have solid colors they also have some really neat patterns to elevate the tulle that I think you will love!

Oh, this Faux Fur Collar Belted Flare Coat! The nude pink is soooo good! What a Winter winner! It has a Detachable faux fur Collar, gold buttons and a tie waist! It is so lovely and looks beautiful with winter neutrals! I literally want one of these coats in every color! 

I cannot stop with the chunky knit sweaters from Chicwish. This Knit Your Love Cardigan in wine is so pretty. These hand knitted sweaters are literally the best and hang timeless in my closet for all those times you just want to elevate your sweater game! The wine color of this one is so spot on gorgeous, and I thought it looks really good with a little bit of white and the faux leather leggings.

Let’s talk about the cream knit sweater Twinset Dress! It is two pieces; there is like a cropped overlay that goes over it the ads such an element of cuteness! Not to mention the fitted and flared hem sleeves!

It is also super comfy!

As you can see, my love for Chicwish does indeed run deep! Their customer service is so spectacular, the fits are phenomenal. Just remember like I told you in the last post, to measure and you’ll be guaranteed a great fit for everything you order! The prices are so affordable, and the quality of these items is great! My first order really surprised me, and I will keep coming back for more and more.
