FRIDAY FAVORITES....Long Weekend Edition

I blinked and there went Summer and here is Labor Day! Doesn't it seem like we were just talking Long "Memorial Day" weekend?? It does still feel like Summer in these parts with high 80 temps, however, you cannot mistake the cooler feel in the air at night, Pumpkin products arriving in stores, and football in full swing! I wish you a nice, long relaxing weekend and moments of happiness and fun galore! Here are my faves to ensure that extra long weekend is fabulous!!

1. MALIBU SPICED PUMPKIN LATTE

In honor of the PSL being released today at Starbucks, how bout a recipe for one with a little warm kick!!

1/2 – 3/4 c. milk or coconut milk (depending on how strong you like it)
1 tbsp canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie)
1 tbsp brown sugar (a little more or less to taste)
1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/2 oz Malibu Island Spiced Rum
1/2 tbsp pure vanilla
1/4 cup very strong brewed coffee
Whipped cream (optional)

Heat, but do not boil,  the milk, canned pumpkin and brown sugar in a saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in the pumpkin pie spice, rum, vanilla and coffee. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, if desired.

2. COZY BEDROOMS

So depending on the weather during this fine 72 hours of freedom, I may or may not be cozied up binge watching movies and shows in the bedroom. While our bedroom is pretty darn cozy, how sweet are these?

4. JUSTIFIED...BINGE WATCH

Just finished up 78 episodes of this AMAZING series from FX. 
It ran 6 seasons from 2010-2015.
It had it all folks: romance, bromance, gun gun-slinging shooting, crime solving, history, drama and humor. I tend to take to end of a series hard, like I came to know these characters and I'm sad it's over. So, I'm grieving. Ha! 
 

I love the show so much, I even had dreams about the two main characters, Raylan Givens and Boyd Crowder, I told my husband all about it and he just laughed! He knows I'm nuts!  Guess what, of course who always won out, the bad boy Boyd!! 

So what's next friends? Any suggestions on our next binge watch? I think Labor Day may be the perfect weekend to get addicted to a new series.

5. OUTFITS
A Dressy or Casual Labor Day weekend?
Little pops of color must continue in my wardrobe this hot, long weekend before Fall hues completely take over.
