FRIDAY FAVORITES...I DID IT!!

Whoop Whoop, raise your hand if you're glad it's Friday! Quite the week!

1. Vaccine Doses Done

I did it!

I got my second Pfizer vaccine shot yesterday! As I write this, I’m not sure how I’ll be feeling when you read it, just hoping for the best and so glad to have it done! And idiots are copying cards so there that! Ugh! 

2. Gifts from my Kids

I’m so excited to talk about a few of the birthday gifts that my kids got me! This verse top is from a Darling local boutique that I plan to share with you in a couple weeks. It was so precious because while my son’s girlfriend was getting her teeth whitened at a pop up there, he was walking around the store holding up things and deciding which one to get me, I think they pretty much picked the perfect top for me! I love everything about it!

They also made me the darling T-shirt and I just love it. Our sons girlfriend‘s mom turned 50 on Tuesday so they made her one as well and I told her, we are going to have to get a picture together! The kids used a friend’s CriCut and got the tees off Amazon and then ironed on the vinyl lettering. So cute!!

Another son and his gal, got me the perfect baseball cap and a pineapple earrings at Francesca‘s! I love how this outfit came together wearing the cap. And How cite are the lil pineapple earrings!

FRIDAY FAVORITES...FEBRUARY LOVE

Warms up, gets cold again..warms up, cold again...no wonder everyone has been sick. Super Bowl weekend is upon us friends. However not much celebrating the pigskin around here as Hubs is taking a son on a college visit to DePaul. Looks like I'll be eating nachos by myself and watching Fixer Upper episodes in between commercials and halftime. I am kinda excited for Coldplay's performance. This weekend looks like a cold one again so I'm grabbing a cup of goodness and chilling. Hope you do much of the same and the weekend is all things lovely!!

1. BRONCOS BULLSEYE COCKTAIL

Of course I'll need a beverage to sip during the half time show...and since We're rooting for the Broncos....um...and it has Champagne...and it's easy!!! 

Broncos Bullseye Recipe

1 part Blue Curacao

1 part Orange Infested Vodka (or plain vodka)

3 parts Champagne

Rim a champagne glass with honey and orange sugar (you can get all colors at a craft store like Michaels or Hobby Lobby.) Mix ingredients together in a champagne glass.

2. Cocktails Stamped Clutch
Who wants to go out for a cocktail so I can take my new "Cocktails" stamped clutch? 
It's the perfect size and I just love the tassel!!

3. Sweet Treat Finds

I had heard Tif over at Bright On a Budget talk about these Cinnamon Bun Oreos...Delicious!!!!!! ( note: I can only find them so far at Target)
So delicious in fact that  I created Cinnamon Bun Oreo cheesecakes..watch for the recipe on a Tasty Tuesday soon...

And look Red Velvet Lovers........mini Doughnuts and they are sooo moist!!

5. Two In One Shirt Peeks
Aren't these 2 in One's great! You don't get so hot with double layers and just have to buy one top. I fell in love with this one from Gordmans and how it goes so well with my Hunters, Nike retros or cute flats and boots. The peek of plaid is perfect but it's not a full button down underneath, just the peeks.

FRIDAY FAVORITES

This week went fast!!! Hope it did for you. Big congrats to Susie and Bill over 

at Sequins and Strawberries 

who got engaged~In honor, I used my #1 favorite as a toast to them and here is a toast to all you gorgeous people for a blessed and beautiful weekend!

1. PINK MOSCATO CHAMPAGNE

So in love with this Barefoot Bubbly and even more so now that it comes in little bottles like this 4 pack from Target for $12.99. I even had a glass bottle this week with my chicken and Pasta dish (Here). It is the perfect hint of sweet while being crisp and sparkling.

2. OUTFITS.....FALL INSPIRATIONS
I wish I could wear this everyday. I love everything about this outfit. From the jewelry to the booties to the colorful clutch and the easy boho vibe. I want the whole thing!!
 

I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS!! Notice all caps, I must be in love!!
 To me, this is the ideal Fall Outfit and I must recreate it!!!

3. WORK ATTIRE
While coral is a favorite color, the oranges in the color wheel are not abundant in my closet. However, this week I was feeling it with some work outfits. Maybe orange has Fall on my brain.

So, how have I not noticed the cute flip flop on the Starbucks Frapps til now? I truly am in heaven drinking these, although it's not that often. 

  

5.FOOD LINK-UP
Claire, over at Fashion and Feathers had the BEST food post this week. 5 easy crock pot meals and you know it's crock pot season approaching. Heck, it's crock pot season year round. The Taco Chicken Bowls is my favorite and it's on our radar to try this weekend.

FRIDAY FAVORITES....FAIR EDITION

Wow, the last day of July. NO!! You know what that means, time to start thinking about Fall, if you haven't already. You know, I love the sweet Summertime but Fall is my groove, so I'm a little excited. Tomorrow is the last day of the Fair and since this is pretty much where I lived and breathed this past week, much of this Friday favorites post is about the country life, primarily what I ate and wore. LOL 
Have a wonderful weekend soaking up the last few of Summer.


1. 4-H and THE KIDS
While the people watching, concerts and food are amazing, the thing that is most important about the Fair is the 4-H kids. They work so hard. They learn, grow and make new friends.
So proud of our guy and how he did.

 2. COTTON CANDY
I have loved cotton candy since I was a little girl. My friend Tami and I love it so much that we always get one of those cute lil themed buckets of it at every holiday for each other. There is no cotton candy like that at the Fair. I usually grab a bag on the very last day and enjoy tiny little pieces of sugary goodness throughout the next week.

The Sugar Spun Candle gives me that sweet smell without the calories. It's from Target and literally smells up the whole house so sweetly. It is my favorite candle for summer and in between seasons. Fall and Winter call for more cinnamon and harvest smells but this remains a goodie!! I need to stock pile before Target stops selling them
I have been wanting to try the one Yankee Candle has too.

3. CORN DOGS
So, call me crazy but hands down, my favorite food of the whole Fair are the corn dogs. It is the first thing I eat every time. And not just any Fair dog, it must be at this booth behind me. Photo bomb by the cute booth worker. I am not big on processed food but this week all bets are off. I enjoyed 2 of these puppies this week. Til next year BEST CORN DOG EVER.....

4. FAIR ATTIRE
Oh kids, as you know with most of the country, this week has been sweltering. I feel so sorry for all the 4-H kids, the animals and fair workers. Let me tell ya, my main goal was not to see how many fried Oreos I could eat, but rather it was how to stay cool. 
My best defense was hair up, shirts and cool breezy tops.
