Let’s take a fashion walk down memory lane, and we’re not talking a decade ago, we are talking fashions that are 30+ years old and things I wore in high school. My mom saved some of my favs all these years and can you believe I can still wear them??!! Some are even too big. You’ve heard me mention I was Best Dressed, Class of 89’, lol. Well, I owe that to cuties like these and an inherited fashion sense from my mama.
This first acid washed dress is the oldest…34 years and more importantly bought on a class trip to Germany when I was a sophomore. It actually had a longer tulip hem when I purchased it, but my mom hemmed it for me and the fact that acid wash is back today has me swooning over this.
Copper Polka Dots…yes please! This was favorite set of mine...all the Festive Feels for the Holidays too. everyone loved this one. I got it at the "BIG" Mall in Ft. Wayne and rushed home to lay it on my bed and admire.
So glad I kept it.
And Pretty in Pink Pearl Embellished
silk...oh yeah!! Shared this top with my mom. When I wanted to really get snazzed up, I wore this pearl embellished top with cream pants. Felt like a classy lady, lol.

Oh here I found of pic of me in them with a jersey, front, middle
Sometimes it's fun to go down memory lane.
Did you save any clothes from High School??
xoxo
What a fun look back and so impressive that your mom held on to those pieces for all those years! That acid wash dress is so cute on you. Looking great Andrea!

So fun!!!! My mom saved some of my things too—I have a dressy romper that was soooo much. Shoulder pads ✔️ a sash ✔️ A lacy BIB ✔️ Decorative but not functional gold and pearl buttons ✔️ Oh and I accessorized it with white pumps 🤦🏼♀️
ReplyDeleteI can see why you were voted best dressed! It's so much fun seeing these items on you! Love that dress! You are rocking them all!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun post!! I am LOVING that denim dress! xo, Biana BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteWOW!! I'm not sure if I have anything left from high school after our moves and purging so much. CraZy how things have really cycled back around and so fun to see them on you in high school. Loved that!!! XOXO
ReplyDeleteOK... I'm impressed... first that you still have them - 2nd that you fit in them.
ReplyDeleteAcid wash... it looks so IN again, doesnt it?
Oh my goodness; I can't believe your mom saved so many of these! That's awesome.
ReplyDeleteOh Andrea, I love this post! The old throwback pictures are so fun! And I love that you are still rocking some of the same pieces you wore in high school. So crazy how fashion always comes back around again! I'm kicking myself for donating my favorite pair of boot cut GAP jeans from the late 90's because they would be perfect right now!
ReplyDeleteYASS girl! 👏🏻
ReplyDeleteAs usual, you slay 😉
This was such a fun post! I love that you can still wear it all!!! I have the sweater I was wearing when I met my husband...but I think that's it.
ReplyDeleteOMG..how fun was this? I would have never kept all those things, but now I wish I had some of mine favorite items. I love when you showed the older photos wearing them too.

What a great trip down memory lane! Love it!
ReplyDeleteAh! I love you girl! When I saw the acid wash dress in the photo, I thought to myself "I have one of those in the attic somewhere!"
ReplyDeleteGoing to have to dig it out because I have several circa 1991 outfits around here too!
You were the cutest in 1989 and still are!

What a fun post idea! I think I still have some things from high school. I actually went to Catholic school and would sometimes wear my plain grey kilt to functions in college, haha! Your acid wash dress looks like something you could go out and buy at Target right now!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your highschool photos! I don't have anything from highschool...just a middle school t-shirt that has my name on it everyone that was on the school newspaper team got one. Some of my kiddos have worn it as a sleep shit just for fun :) Styles have a way of coming back around. I've seen several acid jeans at the mall and online.
ReplyDeleteI love this! You rocked every item then and you still do now friend! That denim dress might be my favorite, so fab! XO, Caroline
