What a week this has been! Went from returning from Austin and missing my sweet friends to Mr. Nine also returning home from a business trip and going the longest we’ve ever gone without seeing each other to my sweet mom’s birthday and a crazy roller coaster of Customer Service at Balsam Hill...They contacted me after my Instagram rant but still haven't made it right....stay tuned for that one, lol.
1. My TEXAS CHICKS!!
Speaking of Austin, Texas did not disappoint in the least. I know you saw our T-shirt group photos from Wednesday but there are so many fabulous photos, but more importantly, so many fabulous memories and the majority of them including major belly laughs! These ladies are for sure five of my favorite people on the planet and now I ask myself what I ever did without them?! Definitely the biggest blessing from this blog journey is their friendship and support!

3. Week's Attire
My beautiful mom had a birthday on Tuesday. I was sad Mr. Nine and none of the boys could celebrate with us, but we had a lovely dinner. The BEST Crème brûlée
in the country. Lucky to have a 5-star restaurant 10 min down the road. One of her gifts was this darling Umbrella from Draper James. It says “Howdy” on it! Mom just loves umbrellas. Look how beautiful she is!

This striped sweater is all over social media but there is a good reason for it. I truly feel it looks good on everyone, it’s such a great price and they have so many fabulous color blends! I think this one would be perfect for Thanksgiving! I showed you another color on Monday's Amazon Gift Idea's Post. And I could not resist an opportunity to show you my front porch one more time before all the pumpkins are pitched!

Another thing my fabulous friends and I have in common is that we love to shower others with gifts! When we get together, it’s like Christmas! All these ladies have such fabulous taste and we get such a joy out of watching each other open all the fun! Here’s a sampling of some of the fun loot. And that Tumbler in the bottom right was gifted to us by Shelly and created by another Blogger friend you may know, Heather from My Glittery Heart from her Etsy store Oh My Glitter!!

Texas Sheet Cake Cookies
It’s been a while since I made my Texas Sheet Cake cookies and this post made me think of them. They’re fabulous all year round but they’d actually be pretty good on holiday trays. This recipe is my second most viewed ever, and people email me all the time saying they’ve tried them which makes me happy, but one person commented that in the photo, they look like hamburger patties with gravy, lol. I assure you, they are melt in your mouth Texas sheet cake flavor but if you don’t believe me, just try them for yourself!

And another fabulous chocolatey recipe is Shelly’s Meme's Cookies pictured here and a highlighted sweet treat from our trip! I'll be adding these cookies to my Christmas Tray.
