Maxi and Dupes, sounds like a kind of retro restaurant doesn't it? I always thought it would be fun to have a diner. Just love old school diners. Anyhow, today is the last Wednesday in our Style Perspective series. No fear, the rest of the summer we will be Freestylin'. Basically link-up anything fashion related, no pressure. Just a fun Summer Style Free Style!
Today the prompt chosen was office looks and since I no longer an in an office, rather a home office, I did manage to find something that I would've worn in the summer to the professional office scene. On this particular day, a day in a Lake town meant a breezy, easy and cute Maxi (under $30) with a jean jacket before it got warm. Those lake breezes always call for a cover up morn or evening. The "dupe" part comes in because these Sandal Slides are the Steven Madden dupes from Wal-Mart I told you about a few weeks ago. This was the first day I wore them and they are sooo comfortable!

I bought this maxi before we went on vacation and I just love it! I actually wore it out to dinner and as a cover up at the pool! And you can't beat the price. I'm going to have to make that crustless quiche, looks like it is Keto friendly for my husband! Happy Wednesday, Andrea!

I am loving all of these maxis! And yay for it almost being vacation time! One of my coworkers recently got me into The Crown, so that's what I'm watching right now. It is eating up my evening blogging time! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteMaxis are such a favorite for summer! Sounds like you are ready for that vacation. I'm so envious but think right now I'd even settle for spending a week in your backyard and that pool!! So nice! I cannot believe in just a quick year you have your dream house! Happy Wednesday friend.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this maxi on you and just maxis in general for summer! They're so comfortable it pretty much feels like you're wearing PJs! Also those sandals were a GREAT find! So adorable!
ReplyDeleteRosy Outlook
Loving this maxi on you, and another reminder how much I need a new denim jacket! And THANK YOU for the tutorial to get comments in my email again, I've felt so un-engaged since they turned off <3
ReplyDeleteGreen Fashionista
Love the Maxi dresses but I do not think they look good on me. Its also hard for me to find one that doesnt drag the ground. Haha. I have thought about doing some kind of fashion blog day to write about but gosh darn it. I dont have a photographer. Haha. My husband is not a good one. WOW! Your boys are handsome!
ReplyDeleteFunny, I just posted about the blogger fix too. Hope we can get the word out. Im seeing so many forgotten post from good writers.
Happy Wednesday!
Lisa
Well, isn't Julie just the smart cookie! Thanks for sharing "the fix." Loved all your maxi dresses, Babe. I need to pull all mine back out again! I hope you and Mr. Nine have an awesome time this weekend celebrating his birthday because Wayne and I will be doing the same thing later in the month! Too sad that we couldn't have a double date! Wouldn't that me oh-so much fun? Wayne and I finished the first season of Goliath this month. I had no idea it was so popular, but we enjoyed it! I am so jealous that you get to stay in your PJs every day until 9:00. No fair! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteDenim jackets look so cute with maxi dresses :)
ReplyDeleteHooray for a Blogger email fix!!!! FINALLY! Thank you so much for letting us know. I just tried it an I'm just waiting on the email from Blogger so I can confirm and get the emails rolling!
ReplyDeleteOMG. THANK YOU for the email fix info!! On the one hand it's been nice to be less distracted by my phone. On the other hand...I hate missing comments and worried that I haven't answered someone's question, etc.! At any rate, your maxi dress is SO cute. Killer price right now, too! And those patriotic sea salt caramels look perfect for the 4th. Pinning that one, thank you very much!
ReplyDeleteGina || On the Daily Express
Gosh, you've been so patient with the emails, Andrea....and doing it all by hand! You are a saint!
ReplyDeleteIt's so fabulous you have the pool to enjoy and I'm just like you--usually in pjs until about 9 am...LOL!!
Love this maxi!!

ReplyDeleteLove your maxi dresses! I have a few and you looks so summery and pretty in yours! Love the easy style. Cute pearl sandals too! Handmaids Tale is my favorite show right now, so good! I love your pool and landscaping too, looks beautiful!

That maxi is so cute, Andrea and I love those slides -- may have to pick them up myself!
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you found a comment fix! I know you love to reply! The dress is really cute and I'm glad your shoes are comfy too. Staying in pj's till 9 am sounds lovely!
ReplyDeleteI seriously wore a similar outfit last weekend when we saw a matinee with my mom and cousin of Waitress. I loved how I felt so dressed up with so little effort. I'm so jealous of your pool! Talk about the perfect place to relax without even having to leave your home!
ReplyDeleteGirl, you're just filling my head with steal ideas. That omelette in a pan, that gorgeous orange dress ... no wait, I don't own a gorgeous orange dress. Oh heck, what's a girl to do?!
ReplyDeleteHappy vacancy hugs, x.
I love a jean jacket with a sun dress. That maxi is super cute! You have a lot to look forward to. Yay for vacay coming up and celebrating the hubster's birthday! All of your food looks yummy! Your graphic is fabulous! Great job!! One year ago since you started the house! You guys have come so far! The pool is so beautiful as is your landscaping. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for a fix on blogger's comments. What a mess! I'm glad you are getting to enjoy your pool and hope you have a blast at the lakeside vacation!
ReplyDeleteLove this maxi and what great dupes!! Thank you for explaining how to fix the blogger comment section, it has been so frustrating!

Good gracious there is some summer goodness in this post! Look at that tan! This year my tan game is bad. As in non-existent. Oh well it happens, right? Happy birthday to the Mister! The pool jealousy game is strong my friend. I have yet to get in a pool since March. Maybe next week. Maybe? Stop with the fall nonsense. You and Hobby Lobby need to regroup and enjoy summer LOL! I love ya! xo
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit and those slide dupes! That quiche looks delicious. Think it would be good with some sundried tomatoes thrown in too? I look for any excuse to add some. I love them in homemade guac. I hope you have the best time on vacation!
ReplyDeleteYAY! I'm so happy you got your comments fixed. What a pain when something isn't working properly. You have so many adorable maxi's my friend. I totally get the vaca without a kid...I don't think any of ours are coming with us this year. The newlyweds don't have enough time off and Katie is starting a new job. We had fun in HI though, so I think we'll manage😉 LOL
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun post to read! Your pool looks like an amazing/relaxing backyard oasis and those dresses...Swoon! So gorgeous. I like to find maxi dresses that are cute but breathable in the leg area especially when it's 100 degrees outside. Lastly, I love that you chose to plant hibiscus' in your oasis. A tropical flower I adore and grew up with. Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis
ReplyDeleteWell, I do love Maxi dresses but most of them are sleeveless and I haven't done sleeveless in a very long time. Yes, I often just slip on a jacket but sometimes I think they are cuter without a jacket. :o)) Know you and yours are really enjoying that beautiful pool. Those boys are just the cutest.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to follow up on that blogger fix- it wasn'T working for me either. Totally intrigued with your backyard install!
ReplyDeleteI love maxi dresses with a denim jacket. You look gorgeous as usual my friend!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great Summer ahead! Enjoy the pool!
ReplyDeleteSacha gorgeous dress, Andrea! And those sliders are super cool. I can't believe it's a year since you broke ground. Sadly, we're still waiting on bureaucratic pieces of paper before we can even make a start! Luckily we still have a lovely house with a pool to chill out in!!

Love your maxi Andrea, your POOL - hello!, your pretty flowers, the pics of the boys (and boo to fishing trips. At least a little boo thrown in there. I know they have to grow up...) and thank you for the blogger email fix instructions! I need to do that ASAP! Miss "chatting" my friend!
ReplyDeleteLove that dress you are wearing. Yes to pool time! We're just heading into pool time now, it's been pretty cloudy here lately (June gloom was in full effect). Where did you get your jacket from? Love the coloring on it.
ReplyDeleteYou are a summer vision! I love adding a denim jacket to my maxi dresses..it always looks so summer chic and cool. Have a great start to your vacation, and HAPPY 4TH my friend!!

A maxi dress + jean jacket combo is one of my faves in the summer- great for moving inside to outside because you can just slip the jacket off when it gets too warm!

Love your outfits. And can I just say how handsome your boys are - swoon! You have a beautiful tan. Have a great 4th July xx Maria
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea, oh you look so nice in your maxi dress and all of your pretty outfits. You look so tan already! I am so fair and never seem to get that dark of a tan just a light one. I guess I better start working on that and sit outside each day for at least a half hour. The weather is not too good here in the northeast and one day it will be sunny and the next cloudy and rain. Oh well. Thanks to for the shout out to me on the blogger issue. Hopefully blogger will not have any more changes in the future for us as I love blogger and it's so easy to use. Happy Birthday to your Mr. Nine and enjoy your vacation!
ReplyDeleteHugs Julie xo
Thanks for sharing the blogger comment fix - I'm going to give it a try right now!

Love that denim jacket! I'm the opposite, I get out of jammies early in the day, but back in them early in the evening.
ReplyDeleteI love a good maxi dress and that dress is gorgeous on you! Your sandals are such a great find too! Hope you are settled in your new home and enjoying your pool! Have a wonderful weekend celebrating your husbands birthday!

That maxi looks stunning on you! I love it with the denim jacket. And that quiche looks so yummy!
ReplyDeleteHow fun would that be if you had a diner?! There are tons of them around here. This look has basically been me all week at work. A comfy maxi and my trust jean jacket. I can't believe it's already been a year since you broke ground and how amazing that you are already in the house and floating around in the pool! Sierra Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteI love maxi dresses and that one is perfection on you my friend.
ReplyDeleteI love crustless quiches! I'll have to check out your recipe! I am always looking for good options!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the fix!!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you figured out your comment problem! I think you just made everyone using blogger's day! I hope you have a wonderful vacation. I know the day will come when the boys make other plans but you're right - they are adults now!
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip beautiful!
xo,
Kellyann
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Oh I am so happy to have a fix for my comments; that has been such a pain trying to navigate.
ReplyDeleteHey sugar, love your maxi-denim jacket look. I do not know how you can bake cookies and look as amazing as you do. Girlfriend's got some good genes!!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy time with 2 of your 3 boys. I am feeling a little bummed because we usually do my daughters' birthdays at my house or at least together in July and this year, it doesn't look like anyone can afford a trip to get to my house. And I can't afford one to visit the two of them in different cities. Alas, we were together a few weeks ago, but family traditions mean a lot and are hard to bid adieu.
OMG I just did the blogger fix and fingers crossed it works!!!!!!! THANK YOU!! Love that maxi on you too!!
ReplyDeleteI just tried the Blogger fix. Hoping it works! I loooove The Handmaid's Tale and can't wait till it comes out with season three.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the blogger fix!!!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I want those jammies, second you know how to rock a maxi and third - THANK YOU for the email fix! That has been SO dang frustrating! Have a wonderful holiday!
