Can you believe today is the first day of June? It’s going waaaay
to fast. Here in our area, we went to exactly as predicted weather wise. A
crappy looong winter right to Summer. Now that it is finally here, I truly hope
it lingers. Happy First Weekend of June Babes!

SUZY TURNER
I always like to say SUZY is Sensational! Her BLOG is so fun. She lives with her adoring husband in Portugal. No one wears a pixie cut better than Suzy. This talented author is also a Yoga master, I would love for her to teach me a class. I'd be in the front row with my mat. She adores scarves, pool dipping, matcha lattes, owls and fun dates with her hubby just like I do. Would love to jump across the pond and see this beauty. In the meantime, get over to SUZY TURNER and see why I love her so much! She has the sweetest style too.

Isn't this colorful outfit a delight!
In Case you missed it on Monday, since it was a Holiday, I
joined Suzy and the other Fab 40’s ladies for a Fairy Tale theme. So fun to
dress up as a modern-day Cinderella.
Our Chicago trip last weekend was complete bliss and rest. I am not even going to complain that it was 95 degrees as the humidity was low til the day we left. We went with no dinner reservations, no to do list, no plan; just a fly by the seat of our pants and it was great. We ate at new places like El Hefe and Eggsperience and familiar ones like a quick shake at the Shake Shack and Garrett’s popcorn. We went on the Wendella Architecture Boat Cruise, walked the river walk where I had my first Frose, went to Millennium Park to see the “Bean”, accidentally crashed a private event, did a couple outfit photo shoots and slept in, which in itself was grand. So lucky to have our favorite city ever just two hours away. We’re country folk but visiting the Windy City is one of our favorite things to do.
Something to really love about this Coral Top is that it
can be worn off the shoulder or on the shoulders and I had no
problems with it riding up. LOVE the color.

THE Bean..it was too crazy there so we got some photos and
scrammed. So cool how the skyline is reflected in the Bean.
FROSE!
Our BEST meal was at a
random Restaurant called El Hefe.
The BIGGEST centerpiece I have ever seen (real flowers) at a
tea we accidentally crashed at The Drake Hotel.
Just look at those Lemons..plus I love Mike’s Hard Lemonade in the
Summer!
BUY DRESS HERE (under $20 and so comfy!)AND speaking of lemons, you could say I drank the “LEMONADE” and bought the Lemon Jammies for the trip that all bloggers have raved about. AND they were right, so comfy and GREAT price!

I'm going to need that frose and a dip in your pool on Sunday ;-)
ReplyDeleteLet's hear it for concrete! You truly look like a princess in your long white dress. I may have to order those cute lemon jammies. Chicago is one of my favorite cities. ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! So much fun stuff in this post. That architecture cruise is so fun. We did it when we visited Chicago about 7 years ago. I'd love to go back. Y'all are to Chicago like we were to DC when we lived in Richmond. So easy to take a little trip. Love that. You of course looked AH-DORABLE the entire time and oh my gosh....YOUR POOL!!!! I can not wait for you to have that all done. What a great summer you're going to have. Happy weekend sweetie!!! XO

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I loved Chicago so much when we went there last summer on some college tours. You are so lucky to have it so close. Your pool house is SO darn cute! I can't wait to see it all done. We went to DC the same way, no plans and just winging it. I will give you the deets soon. We loved taking pics at the Bean but you're right, it's mobbed! Ya gotta get at least one shot though. Yummy frose! Yes please. Have a wonderful weekend!

Sounds like you had a fabulous trip. We accidentally stumbled upon free donut day at dunkin donuts yesterday and the boys were thrilled.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun photos of you and the Mr by the Bean. It's great that you're only a 2 hour drive from this fun city. We did an architectural boat tour when we visited and I loved learning the history and seeing all the buildings from a different angle. Those lemon jammies are the cutest and the coral top (entire outfit) looks fab on you! Have a great weekend sweet lady and looking forward to hearing more about the progress of your pool just in time for summer! Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis

ReplyDeleteMy nephew and his fiancee live in Chicago and will be getting married there in the near future, so I'm sure I'll be going to Chicago before too much longer. I've never been but do look forward to going. I love those lemon jammies as I have the whole lemon theme going on as my summer decor. Happy week Andrea!
ReplyDeleteAndrea, as Tina Turner said, you are SIMPLY THE BEST! Thank you so much for featuring me in your new blogger series. I am truly honoured and hope to meet you in person sooner rather than later. Perhaps I can try and convince hubby to head back to the States late next year!
ReplyDeleteChicago looks amazing, and you look like you had a fabulous time. How lucky that you only live two hours away!
Huge hugs my friend!
