Just LOVE the Fall-ish colors!

Now Let's Get to What's happening in The "Nine" Neck of the Woods
1. WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK: BBQ Pork Potatoes, Turkey Soups Casserole, and Parmesan pork chops with green beans and Loaded Cauliflower Casserole.
Recipe Here
2. WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT: A CUBS game several years ago with 2 of our boys. Being fairly close to Chicago, we have always been Cubs fans so pretty excited that they are playing in the World Series for the first time in over a 108 years.
GO CUBBIES!!
3. WHAT I’M LOVING: Rainy Weekends...while crisp sun shiny weekends are great, occasionally it's nice to have that rainy weekend where lots gets done...or not...football/movie marathons anyone?
4. WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO: Mr. Nine and I got away last weekend for a couple days...more to come in a an upcoming post.
Trip Teaser..post to come
5. WHAT I'M DREADING: Same as last month...approaching winter prediction is worse that last year. While pretty, I just don't like to drive in it.
6. WHAT I'M WORKING ON: the holiday work schedule..the department that I am in charge of is a 24/7 one so the gals have to trade off Holidays. Making this next several weeks schedule bites....
7. WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT: The HOLIDAYS!!!!
8. WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING: Watching TV: more of our favs returned like Chicago Fire and The Middle and this one after The Middle on Tuesdays ABC at 8:30; American Housewife is a funny keeper. For Mike and Molly Fans the gal who played Molly's sister finally got a starring role and she is fantastic!
Movie: The Accountant with Ben Affleck and Anna Kendrick...Excellent 4.5/5 stars
Reading: Sophie Kinsella~Shopaholic to the Rescue ..Just started but have read all the ones before. Such fun, light reads and love Becky Bloomwood Brandon so much!!
9. WHAT I'M LISTENING TO: 80's Music, Jeff Foxworthy Comedy channel; these are the things Mr. Nine and I listened to on our little get away recently.
10. WHAT I'M WEARING: Military wear, scarves, boots, retro tennies, Plaid, all things Fall.
12. WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH: Decorating for the Holidays!! Shopping for Christmas Presents...the warmth and good cheer in the air!!! Having my babies all under one roof for the first time since August 6th!!
13. WHAT ELSE IS NEW: Excited about my Pal Amanda's new blog....coning next Tuesday, November 1st. Y'all are in for a treat!!!
Bonus: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HALLOWEEN Memory/Picture/Tradition
My fav costume will always be my Britney Spears but since I've shown it so many times before my 2nd fav is the only time I ever dressed up for Halloween in my teens. This Pirate Wench costume was for a fab party.....

This post is so full of good stuff! Great outfit 😊 If I was a scarf girl I would be going cray cray! But ya know me...just cannot. I am so glad you kids got away this past weekend and cannot wait for the post! Loaded cauliflower?!?! Were you thinking of me? LOL I will be whipping that up soon 😊 I hate that you have to give the dreaded holiday schedule out. I am so glad I don't have to worry about that anymore. I think I see me!!!! You are so sweet!!!! I am really excited, girl! Love ya sooooo much! Xoxo
ReplyDeleteSo many people have been raving about the accountant - I wasn't paying that much attention to the movie preview, but now I really want to see it!! I love that scarf and especially LOVE those boots on you girl!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

ReplyDeleteI am loving everything you are wearing! You are seriously my style icon, always busy so beautiful. I love the Shopaholic series, such a fun read! Hope you have a magical day my wonderful friend! XO - Kim
ReplyDeletehaha! That is so funny about the blanket scarves, Andrea! I can only wear them if I'm freezing. The lighter scarves are definitely a good option for the warmer days and I love yours! And your boots! I asked for those for my birthday, I'm hoping I get them because I am obsessed haha! Good luck to your son this weekend!

Beautiful! I absolutely love your vest and gray tshirt outfit. Really and truly, my life is pretty casual and cute outfits like that always catch my eye.
ReplyDeleteSo much good stuff in this post! First off, I love your pretty scarf and chic fall look! The bbq pork stuffed potatoes look delicious and since I have everything to make them, that might be dinner tonight! I didn't realize there was a new Shopaholic book in the series! Have a great day!

I love the colors and those boots!! I'm not really much of a baseball fan, but go Cubs go!
ReplyDeleteI always love reading your What's Up posts! I'll have to read the new Shopaholic book; I read all the others, such fun, easy reads...
ReplyDeleteI love your scarf! The colors are so pretty, and a lighter scarf is indeed more practical most of the time...

That coral color is so gorgeous on you and that scarf really makes it pop! I am totally dreading winter this year too...the fact that it's almost November gives me anxiety!
ReplyDeletewww.rosyoutlookblog.com
Oh, I new we were BFFs! I can't wear that flame inducing thing, either! I'm just not a scarf person because I don't like things around my neck. I have one or two that I can "tolerate" until about lunch time and then, it's off! And dang! I forgot to mention that Wayne and I saw The Accountant last week in Baton Rouge, too. I really liked it, but SO not what I was expecting! Heck! I was just glad they didn't make us out to be boring and pathetic! Maybe I need to go rogue! Ha! Love ya! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI also can't wait for Cmas decorating..I'm ready to do it now...gonna need lots of cozy for the crazy winter that they're predicting.
ReplyDeleteLove your fall outfit! The colors, scarf, and boots are sooo good together. I have the same boots and love them! Can I come eat with you this week? Yum! Can't wait to hear about your getaway.

You look amazing as always! I love that print on your scarf and those boots are perfect! Your foods looks so tasty too. I love the throwback of all of you at the Cubs game, stinks they lost last night but maybe next game. And your by far the best pirate wench I've ever seen! Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteI love your outfits! You always knock it right out of the park. I'm so thrilled for the Cubs and am rooting for them. They totally deserve it. I'm hoping tonight's game has a different ending than last nights. Go Cubs.
ReplyDeleteI love love your outfits ! I love a good scarf and the one you are wearing in the first group of photos is fantastic !!!! Happy Wednesday :)
ReplyDeleteSo much to comment about in one post, I love your Christmas decoration, can't wait to see the rest! :) Loving that scarf and that sweater...too bad it's sold out, darn! Looks super comfortable. Yay for having everyone under the same roof.
ReplyDeleteOooh. What I would give to have it sufficiently nippy in Houston to justify a scarf, Andrea :) love yours!! So many bright colours.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cozy fall look, Andrea! Love your scarf and the fact that you'll be wearing lots of plaid this season!!

So much to say! That loaded cauliflower sounds amazing. I will definitely be trying it soon! I love the pic of you and your boys at the Cubs game! We are rooting for y'all, too! And I LOVE that throwback pick of you from Halloween in '89!! One of my friends was a pirate wench one year and her costume was almost identical to yours! Happy Wednesday! XO
ReplyDeleteThat sweater looks so cozy and comfy! I have a few scarves and they are great in theory for me, but I hate having stuff around my neck! I cant wear turtle or cow neck things either. Drive me nuts! Those baked potatoes look so good. I am loving American Housewife!!! We also started watching Kevin Can Wait and that has been funny. The Good Place is cute. I want to try Man With a Plan too!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of blanket scarves too, but I can't deal with feeling constricted and hot. LOL! The loaded cauliflower looks delish! Loving the throwback Halloween pic, you are too cute!

ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to read your blog through the holidays and see what you cook up!! :)
LOVE that scarf!!! I ordered that cardigan in the charcoal during the Anniversary Sale but it was backordered and ended up cancelling because they sold out of my size! I wanted it so badly! I keep checking to see if they restock it, but no such luck. I really love your outfit with the striped dress and yellow scarf!
ReplyDeleteI really like that your light-weight scarf is actually fall-looking. Most of mine are really springy! And your hair in that pirate picture! AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that scarf!! So cute! And perfect for this time of year when it's just a little chilly out. :)
ReplyDeleteAll of your eats look and sound so yummy!
And how cute are you in that pirate costume! You rocked that hair, girl!
I agree with you about needing to wear a lighter scarf over a bulkier one because I tend to get hot! I can't wait to hear about your little getaway, and it's so exciting about the Cubs! My husband and I are also loving American Housewife! It's so funny!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely ADORE your scarf and this post made me think of the fact that I don't think I've worn a scarf all fall (I have serious issues!!!)!!!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your big hair. You are smoking hot always. The scarf look is still blowing me away. I need that cardigan. It is the perfect drape! I also love your military vest and your black puffy jacket you wore to football. Is it lululemon? I need to catch up on your posts. They brighten my whole day!
ReplyDeleteSo many good things in this post, I don't know where to start! LOVE your scarf and sweater - the colors are so pretty and perfect on you. I can't believe I missed the cauliflower casserole recipe but I'm making that asap. We're loving American Housewife too.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty scarf and I love the boots! I've been contemplating cutting some of my blanket scarves in half...but I'm afraid...lol! Didn't we all have big hair back in the day? Love it!

ReplyDeleteLove the scarf!! I love the look of the blanket scarf and got one last year, but just get too hot, too!! I use it more as a throw in the living room. Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!!
ReplyDeleteGirl, you have been BUSY! I love that striped dress outfit. I'm thinking I'll have to copy it when the weather cools off a bit more.
ReplyDeleteFlame inducing big piece of material 😂 Too funny! I love me some blanket scarves, but it has to be cold before I pull mine out. So I hear ya!
ReplyDeleteHello lovely lady! I love the bright cardi with the fall scarf! You had me laughing at this "hot blooded lady" and blanket scarves! I swear I used to be cold blooded up until around 40.. then the hormones hit and Im always hot now! Those suede boots are gorgeous too!

Loving all the tidbits about life! The hot scarves - as a middle aged mama, I feel you - I start out wearing one but it ends up coming off pretty quick! I'm so excited for Cubs fans . . . anyone who's got a heart has to root for a team that's trying to break a 108 year wait - right?!? Wish we had some rain - we could use some cooling off here! I'm so excited for the holidays too - can't believe it's almost time to decorate and shop!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, those boots! I love them. One color I dont have is a tan pair. Just looking. You look so lovely as always with this beautiful mix of peach navy and tan. Perfect with your glowing complexion!
