FRIDAY FAVORITES PRETTY EDITION

Pretty Woman, Pretty Babies, Pretty Things! All the pretties for this edition of Friday Favorites!

 1. The FUN for Mom’s Birthday

The Cake Bake Shop

It all started last Thursday at The Cake Bake Shop in Caramel, IN. We started celebrating mom’s birthday early with a wonderful tea, it was reminiscent of the one Mr. Nine and I had in London. The place is so phenomenal that we decided to host a bridal shower for our DIL to be next spring. Can't wait!

She's so precious!

More on my outfit to come soon in a post.

Pretty Woman

Then on Sunday, (her actual birthday) mom and attended the Pretty Woman Musical.  It was so good! Of course, it was fitting that I pulled out my $2 Pretty Woman garage sale dress from 25 years ago. Love that thing. I found one similar HERE and you can get the matching purse HERE.

Twins

The BEST gift mom got was seeing the twin girlies on her birthday. After the musical, we met Mr. Nine at the kid's house with pizza and an old-fashioned cream pie I made (my recipe HERE) in hand so that the twin girls could celebrate their great grandma! Mom was in heaven!

And this photo melts my heart.

FRIDAY FAVORITES.....SEEING RED

Where there is change, there must be hope in there somewhere. Let’s hope for the best as we move forward. All I will say about this week. Happy Friday Babes. Considering most weekends, we don’t go anywhere, I am so excited for a trip to Indianapolis tomorrow with our kids to see our Indy resident son. Going to be freezing cold but we’ll make the most of it!

1. Red Heart Waffle Maker
Ok, I love red and I am missing all the red in my house from the holidays because I don’t use it as an accent color anymore, but it always looks so good against all of my gray and white. As you saw I did decorate the porch for Valentine’s Day and a little bit in the dining room, but I am all about hearts! I finally got one of these little waffle makers to make chaffles and I think this would be the perfect gift for yourself or someone you love.
It is so stinking cute! And a great deal HEREHERE and this extra cute one HERE.

so cute

2. Red Shoe Gifts

Let’s talk red shoes! My mom and I have a tradition where every Christmas we get each other one small gift with the red shoe motif. Well, this year she was not able to get out and shop as much and I kind of forgot about it so she made me a red shoe out of cookie dough, hilarious! But anyway I shared these at Christmas time as great stocking stuffers and I got my mom the Magnets. I think these are the cutest little Valentine gift ideas for the females in your life!

4. Swiss Dot Dress

The name of this Swiss Dot Dress from Mint Julep Boutique is You’re Mine and rightly so because I am so glad it is mine. It is SOOO Cute. Surpassed all my expectations; Comfy, lined, rouching at the sleeves. So many ways to style it, but here I wanted some rose gold accessories and a cute pink bandana and wa-la I match my Valentine Porch, lol.

Rose Gold Sandals HERE
And HEART Bag
This faux fur Heart Bag is from my dear friend at Maluniers. It comes in 3 colors, is very affordable and would make a great Valentine gift for the ladies in your life. She even offers gift bundles on these. You may remember Maluniers is the great shop where I got my beautiful Reversible Poncho.

FRIDAY FAVORITES.....Red Shoes Edition

Happy Friday Loves! The sunshine and warmth finally returned yesterday! It been a busy week, we had Senior Awards on Monday for the two soon to be graduates, who both got scholarships and wrapped up a High School discus throwing career yesterday for one of them. This weekend officially kicks off our crazy busy graduation season with a nephew graduating from 8th grade and then let the open house festivities begin in spades. A basket at our house is just filled with invites galore.
I hope your May weekend is filled with laughter and love!!

1. Red Shoe Slushies
I realized I hadn't done a cocktail in awhile. You know this mama's busy when no cocktails, lol. With Summer & the holiday weekend coming up, it has to be slushie time!! These are so simple and scrumptious.
RED SHOE SLUSHIES
1 16 oz container strawberries, hulled
1 bottle champagne or sparkling wine
2 Tablespoons Honey

Pour half champagne or wine the blender, then pour other half into a large glass or pitcher, cover and set aside in the refrigerator. Add strawberries and honey to blender and blend until chunks have disappeared. Pour mixture into ice cube trays and freeze until completely solid. Remove ice cubes from the trays and return to blender. Add remaining champagne and blend until a thick, slushie consistency has formed. Pour into champagne glasses & serve.

2. Red Shoes
OH How I love these Polka Dot WEDGE SANDALS!!

These Polka Dot Sandals Are darling as well

More Red Shoe LOVE

Target cardigan, TJ Maxx dress, Vince Camuto shoes

J.C.Penny Top and pants , Kohl's necklace, Jessica Simpson Flats

5. Preciousness
