ALEXA....TAKE A PHOTO...AMAZON ECHO LOOK

“Alexa, Take a Photo!” Yep, that’s what I tell my AMAZON ECHO LOOK and she does it! This little hands-free camera takes selfie to a whole new level! I've mentioned this Product to you a couple times and now that it is on sale, I thought I'd share more about it! I love it!!! Mr. Nine got it for me for Christmas and when no one is around to take my picture, I can plug this baby in and boom! It has LED Lighting and can automatically blur the background if you want. AND it’s half the price as when Mr. Nine bought it.

The Echo Look was originally available by invitation only. It became widely available on June 6, 2018. A couple months ago Amazon asked me questions about its use and after compiling those, they made it available sans invite. Amazon also added features since its debut: The app will suggest items that pair with pieces you already own, organize your photos into collections, search by color, and receive more specific feedback.

The Echo Look app (available for iOS and Android) keeps up with all your photos organized by date in the "Looks" section. By default, your photo appears up in the app with a slightly blurred background so you and your outfit pop (you can disable that setting). Each picture includes a "Details" section where you can add notes about your outfit. This section also keeps a record of what the weather was on that day to provide your future self with some context for your past outfit choices.

Totally playing around and this was the first Echo Look photo I took. Was even just in comfy clothes.

I LOVE that it can take photos of your back too, just turn around and tell her to take a photo, lol!

The app on my phone is really easy to use. I can pick my phone up after taking a photo and edit, save or delete immediately. Basically, the Echo gets connected to the internet in your home and becomes another useful wireless device.

Here are a few more photos I’ve taken. I’m still playing around with it and I do still take outfit mirror selfies but when you want a more posed photo or want a whole fashion post out of an outfit, this is awesome!! No more asking “Will you PLEASE take my pictures?”

CAVING TO THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE

Nope, I WASN'T going to do it, ya know, the over promotion of Christmas in July that every blogger and their brother, well, probably sister, tends to do. The coveted #NSale. The endless "what I bought at the Nordy sale," the "what YOU should buy" posts! But then 2 things happened. A blogger friend, who shall remain nameless, but whose page views and readers are similar to mine, told me the promotion of the yearly make your holler #NSale 5 times strong extravaganza, actually made enough money to buy her families Christmas presents that year! You know, kinda like I have a garage sale to help with college expenses. Since I am no longer working in the “professional” sector, it’s a hellz ya, mama needs a little Christmas cash. But this was the most difficult post I have ever had to write as I could not find any of these products in my Reward Style. Did I miss the memo? Fixed now (thank you Kate, you "Link Ninja" you)! However, sweet Friends, that is not the main reason. The main reason is, to be honest, I listen to and respect what many fashion bloggers have to say. I know they spent countless hours feeding us what they think we would like. If you are a regular reader, it means that you think my style is halfway decent so why wouldn’t I want to help? I didn't go totally hog wild or anything, just grabbed a few ~~dozen~~ fun things, basics and some cute gifts.

So there’s my caved to the goodness pressure in sweltering July. I hope my picks make some of you happy and then I hope this sale ends fast cause I’m already tired of the yellow in your face #Nordstrom titles filling up my Bloglovin feed! I'll send a majority back I am sure. Now, I’m going to Wal-Mart and getting a Chick-fi-A market salad for lunch. Oh and most importantly shopping AMAZON PRIME DAY and it is Christmas in July baby..stocking up on Presents that is!

FRIDAY FAVORITES...ICE CREAM EDITION

Happy Happy Friday loves! It’s been a great sun shiny week with lots of pool chillin’! Maybe an ice cream scoop or two. And Yes, yes, I did participate a bit in the #NSale but I won't bore you with that just yet. Except for this reply form the gotta be giddy Nordstrom Marketing Crew:

Amy Ann from Straight A Style

Amy Ann Happens to be one of my favorite fashion bloggers in the entire world!! She is a tall (she is 5’10”) glass of pure sunshine!! I think I have pretty much adored everything she has ever worn and her color palettes inspire! Amy Ann and her husband have been blessed with little Ivy Jean who is always styling just as sweetly as her mama. Was so tickled the week to see her in such a lovely Pineapple Print Dress. Amy Ann always sports the CUTEST statement shoes so you will LOVE this post on How to Style Them! We share a major love for kimonos snd This Kimono she styled is one of my all-time favorites! Something else I adore about this Princess is her modesty and love of midi dresses. Just look how angelic she looks in This one! She also has a knack for Styling a piece in several ways!! I thought she was perfect of this summer ice cream edition of Friday Favorites because her colors often remind me of sweet ice cream shop hues!! Adore this Jesus loving mama and style sensation!

2. ICE CREAM of Course

Here’s where the whole ice cream theme came in play some more. I do not generally buy store ice cream unless it’s for pie or Cobbler and I’m spoiled because we have one if the top ten ice cream joints in the country. My second favorite ice cream spot is the Dairy Maid we go to on our vacation. I indulged right and it gave Mr. Nine and I an idea. History Channel are you listening? We should travel the country and commentate on all the ice cream shops. Here’s the damper on our reality show, I’m ready for the camera, Mr. Nine, not so much. Good thought honey, we’ll just stick to our occasional scoops of goodness, lol.

I cannot even tell you how much I love this Minty Tank. It is actually from the pajamas section of Target but I threw it on for last Sunday’s Funday festivities. It is sooooo soft!! And I love the bright lemon yellow in it and it’s only 12.99! Look at the scalloped hem!

Scenes from Sunday Fun Day! We had come back from vacation on Saturday but not wanting to end our family fun time, we headed to a friend’s Lake Home get together. Had a blast. Lots of boating, water volleyball, grub, cocktails, badminton, relaxing and chatting.

I made my Blueberry Crunch Parfait to take and it was a huge hit. Recipe calls for strawberries but this is how I made it for the Bursting with Blueberries contest.

Tiki Toss
Such a cool story about the Tiki Toss game! When we were on vacation as I told you on Monday, The kids played this game at the distillery. They both made ringers and the waitress said she hadn’t seen anybody do that yet. Well, when we got home a birthday package was waiting for Mr. Nine from his little sweet sister. Guess what was inside? TIKI TOSS!! And she didn’t even know we’d been playing it. Perfect addition to the pool area!
