FRIDAY FAVORITES...BYE AUGUST

So much to be thankful for this Fri-YAY!! The cool down with low humidity has arrived, it’s a long weekend, The Notre Dame Fighting Irish play tomorrow night and Baby Boy gets to play in his first Senior Year football game under the lights tonight!!!! While I am sad to see Summer leaving, I am SUPER Excited for the next 4 months of this sweet year!! Friday Favorites here we go!!

Gina from On The Daily Express

 Wrapping up the Summer Blogger Spotlight Series with a sweetie! Gina from On the Daily Express is a doll! I first started following Gina a few years ago and adored her style. It was when my pal Lisa told me how sweet and nice she was that I began corresponding more with her and she is the real deal!! She is so good at styling her clothes to show all the various ways they can be worn. I mean just look how cute she is in this outfit and she shows you even more ways to wear this awesome plaid top HERE. Obviously, Gina is great at what she does because she recently re-entered the work force as a Personal Stylist!! What a great job for someone with as great of tastes as Gina! Wish she lived down the road from me! She is a fellow Prime girl and showcases some fun Amazon finds HERE. She loves to read and I adore her choices. She had some great recommendations in her August Reviews. You'll love her sweet style, warm heart, and peaks into her Daily life!

2. Beach Day with Mom

Every summer mom and I like to get at least one day up at our favorite Lake Michigan Beach town, St. Joe. It is about an hour drive and this latest visit was the perfect day. Beautiful, low humidity. We started out as we always do by walking around the little town and buzzing in the cute, various boutiques. They had added one called Friends by Design and it was decorated so cute with pinks and blacks and glam. Then, we head to our favorite restaurant there and have their loaded Baked potato soup, a cocktail and split a salad or sandwich. This day we split a chicken sandwich with provolone, pesto & aioli on a tomato infused focaccia bread, so good! Then we people watch on the beach and then change into workout clothes for a long walk before heading home. Fun Day!

FRIDAY FAVORITES...DREAM BIG EDITION

Friday in da house! Yay! But guys, rough week and I wince just thinking of baby boy....another football injury. Thank goodness no break and no surgery but out for 5 weeks. I LOVE football but I’m done having kids that play...so scary. I’ll bid High school sports howdios after this year. Oh sweet Emelia from the blog with the sensational name, Dream Big and Buy the Shoes, where do I begin? I have been reading this sweetheart’s blog for several years now. I have seen her heart overflow with love and gratitude. I have seen her passionate about life and causes. I have seen her BFF relationship with Miss Britney Spears encourage those of us who adore certain celebs. What fun! In her post About Me in 3's, you'll find out about all the fun things she loves and what means so much to this precious gal. I have seen her love for her husband Chuck at their darkest hour and her life enriched by her son Ethan. Then, watch their family grow and become complete with the addition of Bella Boo, the sweet baby girl she spent weeks in the hospital with before and after her birth. This Pennsylvania girl has my heart and I know she will have yours if you read her blog. She recently celebrated her 35th birthday and you'll love her post about Her Thoughts on turning 35. Favorite posts like Balancing Her Career and Parenting will have many of you going "That's exactly how I feel too!". 2. Family Weekend

Well, family weekend didn’t quite turn out how we planned. With the youngest having his injury, all he wanted to do was hang with his new girlfriend since He couldn’t bend his leg. We let it slide and opted to do a college boys going back weekend and spoil them. It consisted of pool time, a dinner at grandma’s, fishing, a Farmer’s Market/Gift shop, lunch at the Brewery and listening to a band at the winery.

We figure this one will get us all year.

Even let mom and dad sit in the back on the way home.

4. Chambray Dresses

Just look at my cute mom. Having her join me for a favorite outfit today as she showed up and we both had chambray on. I got this Lauren Conrad dress from Kohl’s and kept forgetting to wear it. Loved it with the peep toe booties. Mom can wear hers on the shoulder or off and looks cute paired with some white jeans.

Just look at that yummy salad and strawberry lemonade martinis. Mom and I went over to Notre Dame one day where they have a commons area with great restaurants.

A dear friend of 18 years brought her sweet boys over to hang out, swim and fish on Monday. Her oldest son, who is into photography captured this shot of us chilling on the front porch.

I absolutely love Lamb’s ear stems and have been decorating my house with it. Looks so good with white pumpkins too so will be nice for Fall. Sometimes it’s hard to find but here is some if you love it too.

FRIDAY FAVORITES...HELLO AUGUST

Happy FRIDAY!! August and I have a love-hate relationship. The month is filled with sadness and joys and Mother Nature is all over the place. Well, when isn’t she lately? Much sadness because in a couple weeks, we move the boys back to school but bittersweet joys with the one left at home as he starts his Senior Football season (In fact, team on team scrimmage at 4 this afternoon). This weekend is the last one we can manage to all have family day or two so to say I am excited is an understatement. Speaking of a sweet family........

1. BLOGGER SPOTLIGHT
Sierra from Beautifully Candid

And Beautiful she is!! Sierra is awe inspiring, relatable and oh so sweet. While I’m not old enough to be her mom, I’d chose her as a sister any day. She and I are the same age difference as my mom and her baby sister. Speaking of babies, Sierra is pregnant with her third precious boy. Watching her with her sons and her adoring husband Eric is like watching our family with 3 boys all over again. They delight in family, in the Lord, in travel and in Loving at all times!! I love that they include their boys in so many of life's adventures and find wonderful things to do as a family. They recently took the boys to Italy and you are going to Love her post on the Gorgeous Amalfi Coast! Their Valentine's Getaway to The Ice Castle is a favorite of mine too, you literally will not believe the beauty of it! 

Sierra definitely has the sweetest fashion style too, she even works as an HR Manger in the fashion industry. You’ll really see her style shine in her post on Finding Your Fashion Balance. It’s one of my favorite outfits of hers too! However, what I love most about this girl, is the awesome momma she is to the most precious boys! They are the sweetest, most loving young men all thanks to their incredible parents. This new little guy is lucky because of what his older Brother’s will teach him and how loved he will always feel. Sierra will tell you, it is not always easy but in her post "What Motherhood Has Taught Me" she hits the nail on the head about what so many of us are feeling and her post Being Happy in the Now will really make you stop and think! Yes, beauty, brains and a heart overflowing with love and you've got one amazing lady! Adore her!

2. Date Night

Whoop Whoop, date night with my hottie, Mr. Nine to see another hottie, Mr. Cruise. Whew, Mission Impossible Fallout had me on the edge of my seat with the action. And what a great meal we had at the brewery beforehand. They have very unique local farm to table dishes and I had the Thai soup and a salad that I don’t even know that all was in it, but sooo good. Plus their cocktails are to die for…Strawberry Fields Forever, baby..that was the name of my deliciousness. That was my indulgence and I didn't even have dessert..Gasp..had a health scare and praise God all was fine but trying to eat extra healthy and cutting back on sugar.

PIXI MAKE-UP REMOVER PADS

I think I have mentioned these awesome pads before, but I was taking off my eye make-up with These Pads last night thinking about how much I love them. For over 20 years, I removed my eye make-up with Vaseline. When I started to get eye sty’s last year, I began using these and wow, not only does the area around my eyes feel extra nourished, I just love the ease of them. While I still use by beloved Cetaphil to cleanse my face, these are my hold grail now for removing eye make-up. And every last bit of it too without harshness on around your eyes.

Speaking of Parties, I want to have a Pineapple Soiree..Doesn’t it just sound fun and look how cute the pineapple cookies and doughnuts are. I saw this on Pinterest and everything about it screamed "Me!" Pink, Gold, Pineapples, sweet treats, pool.....There would be so many frozen pineapple concoctions flowing and you’re all invited, lol!! Pineapples on the brain too this week after the CUTEness I showed you on Wednesday...My favorite jumpsuit in my closet. And in her Currently Post, my sweet Laura talked about hosting a Back-To-School Pineapple themed Brunch! Yeah, I'll fly down for that!!
