Hi all my Festive Friday Friends! This is it, the final stretch and several days of family and fun!! We have had unseasonably and unwanted mild temps here this week. Our local weatherman is predicting 40% that we may have a white Christmas. I’m going to close my eyes and pray really hard for the white stuff. I do hope wherever you are, your heart is happy and rejoicing in the birth of our baby Jesus. Such a celebration!
Go have the most precious weekend and delight in the wonders of the season!
1. Date Night...Early Night
You can tell we are getting old when we are one of the first people in the restaurant after it opens up. We tried a new place to us last Saturday called Chubby Trout which is known for it’s martini’s’ and sushi and it did not disappoint. I had been so excited to try a seasonal cocktail and My Eggnog Martini was great. Should’ve stopped at that one though as the key lime, which is my favorite, was not great and I only gave it like a 3/10. Boo.
We then headed to a local garden in the city (10 min. from our house) that is growing in plants and trees with each year. The had a walking path lit with Christmas lights and it was fun to get in a brisk walk and take them in. Hoping for more next year. Yeah and with that we were home by 6:30, lol! We got cozy and binged watched The 100 til our 10pm bedtime, lol
2. Holiday Find...Friends & Ornaments
My BEST find and not just at the Holiday's but for the whole year was finding the friendship of these 5 ladies! And how darling is this ornament!!! Talk about a bright spot in my year was meeting all these ladies in real life, bonding with them, talking almost daily and finding out how big, fun and precious their hearts truly are. Our dear Shelly gifted us all these adorable buffalo plaid Photo Ornaments, I plan on hanging mine in my office after Christmas so I can be reminded of how much they all mean to me daily! Happy final Friday before Christmas, my sweet merry and bright friend!! While that restaurant's key lime pie may have been 3/10, everything else from your week looked and sounded like a perfect 10/10! My heart is so full for you (& these other precious bloggers too) for the sweet bond you share! I'm so glad you were able to enjoy that priceless time together and what a fantastic gift that ornament was! So thoughtful of Shelly! Loving all the buffalo plaid! You're simply the cutest!! Our snow has pretty much all melted at this point due to unseasonably warm weather here and I too am dreaming of a white Christmas. It's not in the forecast here, so I'm reminding myself to be grateful that we have had a mostly white December (up until just a couple days ago it was a winter wonderland). It sure has made the Christmas season extra beautiful! Hoping the 40% chance for you turns into a sweet Christmas morning surprise of white, bright, beauty! Either way I have no doubt you will enjoy every beautiful bit of Christmas week and I wish you and yours the merriest!!! Love you!! xoxo!
ReplyDeleteWell Andrea, you had me at Eggnog martini!! That sounds amazing, and you and Mr. Nine were no doubt the finest looking couple in the place. Love all of your buffalo plaid and that CUTE red poncho. It's settled. Next holiday season I'm wearing more red!

ReplyDeleteYou would have fit right in with the buffalo plaid with our post from last week!!!
