Let’s get this Party started! The theme for today’s Q&A TBB ASKS Link-Up is all things Party! So, join the fun. We just love what you’re bringing to the “Party!”
1. Favorite Birthday Party as a Child? 4th Birthday where I had all my Preschool friends over (my first party w/ friends) and I got to wear my favorite watermelon dress and blow noise rollers.
My 30th and the birthday shoes were pretty sweet too!
2. Do you like to Entertain? Yes or No? Yes but don’t do it nearly enough.
3. What kind of Parties are your favorite? Fall Parties & Tailgates! Oh, love milestone birthday parties for others...here is my mom's 50th where I was 8 1/2 months pregnant and My Aunt Linda who happens to have a birthday this week.
4. Big or Small Parties? Depends what kind of party. Big ones like the Beer & Brat festival we go to yearly are super fun but I prefer smaller ones so I can mingle with everyone.
5. Favorite thing to do at Parties? Chat with friends and family AND EAT which brings me to........
6. Party Food Favorites? Oooh food is one of the BEST things at a party, here are some things I’d take:

These cookies are ALWAYS requested

AND This FUN Munch Mix is a must for the beloved Fall Parties especially class parties.

7. Favorite Flavor of Birthday cake? I do not really like birthday cake but a chocolate cake with homemade buttercream frosting would be my pick. And you know my mom make's me the birthday Key Lime Pie!
9. Best Party Song? Sweet Caroline....I tried to find he video from Mr. Nine's 40th Party (above photo) where everyone sang it! "So Good, So Good, So good!" AND all 80's Baby!!

I LOVE birthday parties!!! Especially when they are themed and I think that's because my mom always threw us a theme party when we were growing up. Strawberry cake with strawberry icing is my favorite!!
ReplyDeleteSarah at MeetTheShaneyfelts

ReplyDeleteI need to take notes on all your amazing party food! Seriously, they all look delicious! I love throwing parties, but I'm not a fan of being a recipient of them haha I had a bad experience for my first baby shower when nobody showed up, and since then, I'm all PTSD and never want another lol
ReplyDeleteI love the birthday key lime pie tradition. So funny because Jacob has been doing the same thing for the last few years. That's all he ever asks for when we celebrate his birthday with Brian's dad!
ReplyDeleteThat watermelon dress! Love! I am with you, I like being able to mingle and chap with everyone so I like smaller parties. But it also depends on the type, because sometimes big ones are fun as well (that festival sounds awesome by the way). I also love a good tailgate party! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteI love fall parties and tailgates too. Love that birthday party you posted. Love throwback photos like that. Yum to all the food!
ReplyDeleteI'm so bummed that I forgot about this linkup again, I always love participating. I just need to add it to my calendar when you send out the linkup reminder! I'm with you that I love smaller parties so I can talk to everyone, and besides the people, food really is the best part about parties! Your 4th birthday party sounds like so much fun!

Your TBB asks prompts have been so much fun! While I didn't carve out the time to join in this time (yet anyway, maybe I'll still find time to join in fashionably late - lol), I had to stop by and read your answers! So much fun!! Loved all your photos, stories, and of course, your favorites! If only I could invite you to a party to chat and have you bring some of that yumminess to share! :D Such a perfect party post, sweet friend!! I hope your summer has been going beautifully and you're enjoying your lovely lanai and new pool! Ours has been so full that I haven't been keeping up with blogging/blogging friends as much as I'd like, but please know that I think of you just as often and send ya all my love, dear friend! xo!
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish I could throw a party with you!! :)
ReplyDeleteSo cool that you shared the throwback pics! The party picture at the top looked just like mine as a child - even the cake! All your food shots look fab - I've never heard of a slider but it looks extremely yummy. Love the balloon grad guy - what a great idea! And you look great as always in all of your photos! Really fun link up, can't wait for the next one xx
ReplyDeleteAndrea, you clearly know HOW to party!! You go, girl! I took a screen shot of that Pumpkin Cider Cake and can't wait to try it this fall. If and when things finally cool down!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.

I am not a huge cake person either...bring on the cookie cake! I love that you remember your first party with friends! How special :)
ReplyDeleteTailgating is something that I want to get into. I think I've done it maybe twice in my life.
ReplyDeleteThis was a fun post! Love you questions and answers. I wanted to get in on this one but couldnt even think of a party I have ever had. Lol. Seriously, I have never had a Birthday party. I just always had birthday dinners (parties) that I had to share with my siblings and dad because our birthdays are just days apart.
