Walking
in a Winter Wonderland. Yeah Christmas is over but the SNOW is not stopping and
I am even a snow lover but come on, old man winter dumped the 4th system this week on us last night and
it's not ending..18 hours of constant snow for a foot more. Everything is closed. I've had a
hard time getting into my grove this week but today, I am hunkering down
today and getting cozy!! AND GO TEAM USA
1. HEART Shaped Food
I like
making a heart shaped dinner for Valentine’s. Monday I talked about my Heart
Shaped Turkey Meatloaves, it got me thinking about some of the other
heart shaped goodness I've made and an incredible cheeseball from a friend .
Cherry & Cookie Cheesecakes
I shared these at The Blended Blog last year and they were such a yummy treat.

This Pan!
I love Wilton products for baking
and this is one of the best muffin pans I have ever owned. Bakes and slides out
so nice.

RED VELVET CHEESECAKE HEART
My friend Carlee from Cooking with Carlee shared a heart shaped Red Velvet Cheese "HEART" Cheeseball this week! Wow and love on your family with this!
2. The Boys Who Have my Heart
In
addition to Mr. Nine, my boys each have my heart. The youngest here has been burning
the midnight oil and has spent 14 hour days at the school, now he has what
Urgent Care says may be the flu bug. The other two have been studying hard and
I miss them. They both have their old jobs lined up for the summer so we shall have
built in pool boys!
Look, his drink matches his shirt!
AND JACK..enough said except..I was disappointed by the beginning of the season but man, am I glad I stuck with it, I literally cried during the entire last two episodes!
3. Week's Attire
No, I did not sneak into work this week, (promise ) I just have a
few random outfit pics left from the past month to share.
Patagonia Vest Nordstrom and sweater from Nordstrom
Sweater dress TJ Maxx, Striped shirt from Target
Free People Beach Cocoon Cowl Neck HERE
4. Stripped Heart Shirt
Monday I showed you this Heart sweater. Well, This Heart Stripe Tee stole my heart so much that I even got my
pal Laura one for her birthday too. Come on Spring, I'm thinking I need to be on a sailboat in this baby!

PACZKI'S
Guess what? We celebrate
Fat Tuesday (happening next Tuesday, the 13th) here in Indiana too! The best
way we do that in our house is with Paczki's..delicious crazy bad for you cream
or fruit filled doughnuts. I have had many a Paczki over years
but the best ones come form our local Grocery store and our favorites
are the cream cheese and bavarian ones. Since they only happen once a year I
usually buy a few in the weeks leading up to fat Tuesday, In fact, last Friday
I may have gone on a hunt to three of the local stores to finally find cream
cheese ones, lol! #extrasteppertime
HEART BAGS
Back when I went to see The Blended Blog gals in Toronto, I got a couple sets of these cute
heart treat bags to give as gifts. I keep ordering more to give trinkets
and treats in. They are so nice and under $10 for the set on Amazon. Isn't this packaging insanely cute!!??

TWO-FACED BLUSH
I have always been a Nars Blush girl (and back in the day Cover Girl Cheekers) but fallen in love with this sparkling Bellini Blush!! Great gift too! Yay Sephora!

Happy Friday ! Oh I'm thinking that I need to celebrate Fat Tuesday and grab my family some Paczki :) Those Cherry and Cookie Cheesecakes look amazing !! Have a wonderful weekend !
ReplyDeleteYour son sounds like he got exactly what Grace did! She worked so hard on the school play, spending every waking hour at school. Then she ended up with the sniffles, which has turned into the flu. She tested neg at the dr visit, but they gave her tamiflu anyway since she has all the symptoms and it's running rampant through our area right now. Hope your sweet boy feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteYou fill my heart with joy, big sis! I hope the nephew gets better soon the flu is no dang joke! I'm sorry you guys keep getting that dreaded white stuff falling from your sky. We are set to get a lot of rain this weekend. All this heart food - Mitchell would love to live in your home! I'm wishing you a happy, warm, perfect weekend! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove this my friend, your boys are so handsome! Tomorrow night I'm serving your Cherry Republic bars for my dad's birthday celebration - making them today! Your heart shaped goodies look amazing. Cute as a button in that heart shaped top - love it on you! Stay cozy sweet friend!

ReplyDeleteRosy Outlook
I love everything heart themed!! Can’t wait to make those muffins!! Yum!!
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this post (except that one of your boys is sick - will pray for him!) and that everything is closed in your area due to weather! ALL the sweet treats look oh so scrumptious and you are super stylish, as always, dear friend!! Wishing you and your loves a very happy upcoming Valentine's Day!! xoxo!
ReplyDeleteDon't you hate it when your child is sick at school and you can't take care of him? So frustrating. Hopefully he got his hands on some Tamiflu! Hope you have a great weekend, dear Andrea.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for including my cheese ball with all of this fun heart stuff! We love paczki but can't get them locally, so my mother-in-law subs in donuts and we celebrate anyway! Have a super weekend and hopefully the youngest bounces back quickly!

And oh how I love my heart striped tee, too, Girlie! I'm actually planning to wear it this weekend, so I'll send you a pick! I'm planning on doing some baking for my loves, too, and it will be all things heart shaped! Except for the last King Cake of the carnival season that I just ordered per Alise's request. I had no idea that y'all celebrated Fat Tuesday in Indiana, too! How fun is that?? So sorry to hear that one of the boys is sick! Hope he's better soon and you and Mr. Nine enjoy some cuddles on the couch this weekend and stay warm! Have I told you lately how awesome you are!?! Love ya!!
ReplyDeleteI love when shirts and drinks match, lol! Isn't Jack just the best father? I feel for those fictional kids who missed him so much.
ReplyDeleteI love heart shaped food and need to get that pan for muffins. We might even keep it low key this year and order a heart shaped pizza. ReplyDeleteJACK.... did you see that interview with him where he said he based his character off his dad because its just about a man who loves his wife & children. he cried telling the story - I about cried like HES REALLY JACK!!!
I’m excited to watch the Olympics this weekend! The snow has been so brutal here too- ease up Mother Nature! I bawled so hard after Super Bowl Sunday This Is Us episode and this last one. I think having a parent pass away - anyone really- you never stop grieving and this show tugs at my heart. These writers are brilliant and always keep it interesting. Have the best weekend- stay warm!
ReplyDeleteOk, all of those heart shaped valentine confections look amazing!! I hope your son is feeling better soon, the flu is awful. Obsessed with your heart tee. Have a wonderful weekend beautiful!

My oldest has the flu too - he got the flu shot, so it's a mild case, but he still feels horrible. Send a little snow our way! It's just been rain and gray skies for weeks and I'm over it! Hope you have a great weekend friend.
ReplyDeleteEven here in FL I am so over old man winter *please don't hurt me - she says to all her friends in the north*. Those cheesecakes look DELISH, and yessss Go Team USA! <3

My new life goal is to get as enthusiastic about holidays as you do. So much joy radiating from you!
ReplyDeleteSo many adorable heart shaped desserts and those donuts remind me of a favorite I had as a kid.. they were covered in powdered sugar and filled with a frosting-like filling. I had a kid in my class who had a family run donut shop and we went on a tour learning how to make them. They made us each our favorite kind fresh! YUM!
ReplyDeleteThis heart filled post just oozes with love and fitting because that is what I see come out of you all the time.
ReplyDeleteI love this post Andrea! All that food is making me super hungry! Your outfits for the week were all adorable, as always! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYes to This Is Us!!! Soooo amazing, right?! We always get Paczki on Fat Tuesday, too. Yummers! Hope your boy feels better, soon!
ReplyDeleteThat bellini blush looks so pretty! I think I need those cheesecake cookies and red velvet cheeseball in my life too! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSo much hearts and love all in one post! The cheesecake hearts sound delicious! Loving the striped heart shirt...such a cute outfit all together! Stay warm my gorgeous friend! xo Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis
ReplyDeleteLove all of the heart shaped food!! That blush looks so pretty too. So sorry that your son is not feeling well, I hope that he feels better soon!! We have 9 inches of snow here right now but we're supposed to get another 1-3. Sigh. Stay warm and I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!! :-)
ReplyDeleteLove all your heart shaped goodies! It's good to know that the pans are a good set. Nothing worse than a pan that sticks to everything and you're left with a pile of unappetizing food. If you wait long enough, a trend resurfaces. Back in the '80's my girls and I wore all sorts of holiday themed shirts. I think I even crafted some of them. Always a treat to see pictures of your handsome boys...hope your youngest gets better soon. xoxo
ReplyDeleteHaving just got over a bad cold I feel for your son and hope he's quickly on the mend. Sharing some delightful goodies and you look adorable as always. x Jacqui
