Talk about rolling up
some love in a sweet little package. These cream cheese filled roll ups will
have your tatsebuds doing a dance of LOVE! Let me give you a little background on the babies. We live in Amish Country and the baked goods that come out of our local bakeries here are soooo amazing. Just ask my brother-in-law about the giant cinnamon rolls that get requested for pick up every Christmas. They happen to come from my favorite Amish Bakery called Country Lane. Well, my mom happened to go to a bake sale from them and lo and below we have a new baked good favorite treat. Right away my baking wheels were turning thinking "how can I re-create these?"

What you'll need
CINNAMON CREAM CHEESE ROLL-UPS
Ingredients
16 slices of bread
1 (8oz) package cream
cheese (1/3 less fat)
1 egg yolk
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 stick of butter, melted (I used I Can't Believe it's not Butter)
1 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Directions
Flatten
bread with a rolling pin or Pampered Chef roller. In a mixing bowl, combine
cream cheese, egg yolk, powdered sugar & vanilla. In a shallow bowl or
pan (I use a cake pan), combine sugar and cinnamon; set aside. Spread about 1
tablespoon of cheese mixture on each slice of bread. Roll up, jelly-roll style.
Dip in melted butter, then in cinnamon-sugar. Place on an ungreased baking
sheet. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
The Pampered Chef roller made the bread slices so easy to roll out!
No one even knew this was bread, they thought it was a homemade dough!
Wouldn't these be there perfect sweet addition to a brunch!
