Soooo good and leftovers...even better!! With 4 "men" in my household, there are some nights you have to forego your light fish, salad and chicken meals and whip up a hearty, stick to their ribs kind of meal. You now me though, I have to still keep it healthy by using whole grain pasta, ground turkey and healthier soup versions. They honestly never know the difference and I think these substitutes are a way of life for us.

This looks delicious, Andrea! My husband has finally resigned himself to the fact that he is only getting whole grain pasta for the rest of his life! ;-) I love it. He doesn't like it as much (but I think it's just in his head!) So I'll make this just the way you did and we'll all love it!
ReplyDeleteI love that quote and these are so my kind of ingredients. With a hearty casserole, healthier substitutions are needed and really do go unnoticed.
ReplyDeleteI love that quote! This looks so delicious and perfect for a busy night!

ReplyDeleteYUM! My husband would love this, as he's always looking for something heartier too. I've changed up a few things on him to make them leaner/healthier too and he usually doesn't even notice :)
