REPURPOSING THE HOLIDAY

Oh friends, last week I certainly needed a distraction and some cheering up since putting all my Christmas Decor away so I thought why not transition a couple areas into Valentines and transitioning was made so easy with a little repurposing.

It’s actually very fitting at the holiday after Christmas is Valentines because you can continue to incorporate the red. Normally, I do not decorate inside for Valentines anymore since the kids are gone but I loved my table scape so much that repurposing it was so stinking easy for the heart holiday! All I did was remove the little houses and greens on the plates and add sparkly hearts.
These napkins are super cute!.

I took off all the Christmas greenery and trees on the White Fur Runner and just added some hearts to the metallic vase and I love it!

What I’m really loving is the porch and I’m going to save it and dedicate an entire blog post for you all. But I will show you how I repurposed some of my Christmas items. As you may have seen on Friday's Post I was revamping the Red Truck.

Here, all I did was take the poinsettias and greenery out of the lanterns and add buffalo plaid Heart Bows and sparkly hearts to the other buffalo plaid ones I already had!

Now, I will tell you most of my Valentine decor has come from the Dollar Tree because they are killing it my friends! So many cute Valentine items and St. Patrick’s Day already as well! On the rockers all I did was replace the snowflakes with dollar red felt hearts with a nice, thick weight, took away the red pillows which actually could’ve worked as well and added White Heart Pillows which were $10 from target!

Also is this on Friday, I added a LOVE sisal mat from Target on top of my buffalo Checked Porch Mat. Such an easy replacement for the Merry and Bright sisal.

An entire Valentine porch post to come soon, believe it or not I’m not even done yet. I have topiaries to re-purpose and hearts to hang where the balls were, LOL!

So, as you can see, these were very easy re-purposed ideas and I am already thinking of a little touches for additional holidays. Just wait til you see the Heart Banner!! In the meantime, I’m going to savor like the one month of Valentines decor, LOL! Because of course, it’s going to go very fast!

  10. This is all so perfect!! Love that you did this! I should really add some fun touches like this, especially since my kids are still home. I remember my mom decorating for all the holidays and I loved it so much. I must be more of a scrooge, because I always think about how much work it is to go out to the shed to drag in the decor, LOL!
