Happy Wonderful What I Wore Wednesday. And Here I am again, giving you all a Two-Fer. Yes, not only am I showing an outfit for our Style Series Link-Up "What I Wore"
STRANDED SERIES
First, the Mustard crochet goodness, complete with peep toe booties and a choker necklace. Where are you on the whole Fall trend of chokers? I used to not like them and they still feel a lil funny around by neck but this one is nice and light and has an adjustable clasp.
These lace trimmed capri tights are from Express a few years ago, but I linked a dup from Amazon for you. So fun and I feel a little retro when I wear them.
Last week on my Boho Post, I wore a 3/4 length bell sleeved top and talked about how great they were because I wouldn't be dredging them in gravy, lol. Well, sadly these poofy sleeves with get dirty so I will have to only eat fingers foods when I wear it, lol.
Dang, what we do for fashion!!
Just loved pairing this with the cut out Vince Camuto booties and leopard clutch.
AND Now on to what 3 MOVIES would I want with me if I was Stranded on a deserted Island?
Ummm, talk about hard to narrow down, my number one I have for sure:
(Oh and do I get popcorn on the island?)
(Oh and do I get popcorn on the island?)
1. Shawshank Redemption
My favorite Movie of all time and one I must watch every time it comes on. True redemption and validation from a legal system who gets it wrong. You root hard for these sweet characters and cheer for an escape.
My favorite Movie of all time and one I must watch every time it comes on. True redemption and validation from a legal system who gets it wrong. You root hard for these sweet characters and cheer for an escape.
2. Legends of The Fall
No, it is not just because this is Brad Pitt's sexiest film of all time, it's the relationship between the brothers, the beautiful scenery, the stories and legacies, the love they have for each other and the women they love, the angst of that love and just an all around make your heart ache and soar at same time movie.
3. The Breakfast Club
My favorite of all the 80's John Hughes films and a timeless classic on what it means to be a teenager. I can watch this over and over and completely relate.
xoxo
Yes, we do a lot of things for fashion. o) But these sleeves are so beautiful. I love the color of the top. Perfect for the fall.

That color is so perfect for fall and I just love it on you!! And you know I am a fan of leopard accessories. Always. I have seen some really cute chokers lately but I don't know if I can get on board with the trend again. I used to wear them in the 90s a lot. We shall see.
ReplyDeleteI too have a hard time liking chokers. This necklace, though, seems like a nice blend since it's only part choker! Also I'm cracking up that you'd bring movies ... let's just hope there's a DVD player somewhere ...

ReplyDeleteShawshank is such a good movie. My first 3 years in Texas when I still had cable & lived on my own, I watched it every single time it was on TV.
ReplyDeleteAren't you just loving these booties! I totally could watch Shawshank and Legends of the Fall a thousand times and not get tired of them. Anytime they are on TV I stop what I'm doing to watch.
ReplyDeleteLove it, you look so great in mustard! This is one yellow I can wear, and I love the sleeves, the crochet, the whole shebang! I think we have the same clutch, Express?

ReplyDeleteI love that top, even if it isn't gravy friendly. I guess we can't always have it all ;-) I wasn't sold on it when I heard chokers were coming back, but that one looks good on you. I think pairing it with a necklace makes it feel more modern. Cute as always!

ReplyDeleteLoving that mustard color on you! And the lace touch on the leggings is so cute! I just can't get behind chokers for comfort reasons. My necklace just felt tighter just thinking about one!
ReplyDeleteLove that vibrant color, good transition piece right into Fall. Your hair is cute too!

Love this look on you and love those movies too :)
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable. This post almost makes me try yellow/mustard once again, but alas I know the outcome will be a jaundice sickly one. ;) I love the top, shoes, purse and necklace. :) And how fun to post your favorite movies. That would be a tough one for me as well. Pride & Prejudice would definitely be one of them. don't know about the rest...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE mustard for the fall. And those booties are just so cute! Definitely a worthwhile purchase. Shawshank is such an amazing movie - I get sucked into it anytime it's on!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun mustard tunic! :) A shame the sleeves get in the way a little but they do look so good it's easy to forgive I'm sure! :)

ReplyDeleteAnother great outfit from you!
ReplyDeleteThose leggings!!! I had a pair in grade 7 and loved them. Now I want them agaoin!
ReplyDeleteSo cute - I'm so jealous of the fact that you own two pairs of cut out booties - I really need to get on that stat. I want the Jeffrey Campbell ones - maybe Poshmark? Anyway, The Breakfast Club - totally agree - it's an all time classic and would probably be in my top 3. My number one always goes to My Cousin Vinny.
ReplyDeleteYou know that I love this entire outfit Andrea! The lace, the boho vibe and the color...perfect! Mustard is the shade of yellow that I can actually wear. :)
