Well, more Proms for us in the history books. With a freshman at home we will have a few more opportunities but for our Senior boys, this was probably it. Crazy how Proms have changed...so much more involved but still such a memorable night for all. Last year I did a post on Promposals as that still cracks me up but I so love seeing the creative ways the kids ask each other to Prom.
The first one went down in February and was a switch up..meaning since our son's date was asking him to her Prom at her school, she did the Promposal.
How adorable...look at all those suckers..and he won't eat a one..wants to "save" it as a memory, love that!!
Here they are in April...it was a glorious 75 degree day unlike this past weekend when it was 37.
Just LOVE sweet Mikala!! They are great friends and will be attending the same college.
Look how grandma matched
My favorite!!!
Another of our sweet boys had a great idea. He and his Prom date like to get Chinese on Sunday evenings. So, he ordered this fortune cookie ($15...yeah) to swap out for the real one at one of their Sunday Chinese nights. They were so excited and he was nervous that there are no pictures of them together after but what a cute idea!
Look how gorgeous these two are in the classic back and white. We had to take outside pics quick...Brrr. Poor girls!
Love this one from the back looking at each other...
One son had to leave earlier than the other so we made him put on his tux to get a couple family pics since they were having dinner at different times and spots.
Brothers...so cute!
Last Promposal here may seem a little perverted to some but you see, sweet Mikala is a college bound Golfer so the "Balls" letters were put on golf balls and if you look close there are little golf balls all around. She was so surprised and loved it.
Beautiful Royal Blue, Beautiful teens!!
All the kids and their friends went to Chicago for the day yesterday but will be home late. Can't wait to hear about all their adventures!!
Next up... Graduation...I'm so grateful for the joys these kids have brought us.....I'm gonna go cry now and eat gelato! Happy Monday!!

Love both the suckers bouquet and the fortune cookie ideas! Thankfully it wasn't so stressful when I was in high school as my date (the same both years) would have been in Struggle City trying to come up with a way to ask me lol. Lovely couples; I know you're so proud of those handsome fellas!
ReplyDeleteHow handsome do the boys look and the girls look beautiful! Prom was over 10 years ago for me and I miss it. We didn't have the whole promposal thing, but I love the cute ways!

Oh my goodness how fun! I've had a nice break but I'm getting excited about high school being back in my forecast soon. I am loving the stylish crop tops the girls have been wearing.

So glad you shared this. What a gorgeous group of kids! Hope everyone had a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteWait, so you have two boys who are seniors? Are they twins? How have I missed this?! Anyway, adorable pics of course! Your boys and their dates are super adorable!
ReplyDeleteIt is so refreshing to see girls in dresses and boys in tuxes or suits. I am so glad prom is a tradition that has survived. I had never heard of a promposal until my nephew surprised his girlfriend at the beach in Florida on spring break (she thought he was home in KY) to ask her. Love these clever promposals. And everyone looks so elegant. Hope they had a safe, wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute ideas!
ReplyDeleteVery handsome boys! Thanks for sharing this fun post and the beautiful pictures too with us at Snickerdoodle Sunday!

I love to read all the ways that kids ask each other to Prom, my daughter is that age, she went this year with a group of girls, so this gives me ideas for her. If she needs them. I love all the pictures, it's such a fun time. The boys looked so handsome and the girls gorgeous! I hope they had fun, I'm sure they did!
ReplyDeleteYour sons are so handsome and I love how they matched their dates dresses. I think my fav was the pink dress with the pink bow tie and vest. You looked great as well!
