Love is in the air....everywhere I look around. We got slammed with some snow this week and I'm happy about it. Ready to cozy up with my sweet Valentine, Mr. Nine. Spring will get here soon and hearing this may be our last snow storm of the winter, I'm gonna ignore 15 degrees outside and soak up some living room coziness with my hubby, blankie and Netflix.
HAPPY LOVE DAY Beauties!! xo
HAPPY LOVE DAY Beauties!! xo
1. Love Martini
What would Valentines be without a little Love Potion? Ha Ha! I would probably only be making this for me as Hubs would want a beer. Definitely yummy and gorgeous!!
2. Heart Tops
Something so feminine and sweet about a heart blouse or top.
3. Sweet Treats
Chocolate, duh, any day 24/7 but at V-Day I am also crazy about Conversation Hearts but it has to be the ones by Brachs!!
I'm so set....weird Quirk..I only eat the white, yellow and green ones. Not a fan of the other colors. Sorry Hearts.
How cute are these cookies?
Shari's Berries
(A GREAT online website to have Chocolate covered berries delivered to your family and friends. I've had them, they are so good!)
4.Valentine Trees
This is the Office Tree I've mentioned before and how we decorate it for each holiday. Isn't it sweet!!

5. My First Necklace Story
Valentine's always has me reminiscing about the first necklace I ever received.
It was the 1970's and my mom loved to buy Avon as before all the great places like Sephora, Ulta, Stella and Dot, etc, all we really had was Avon. The year she gave me this delicate and darling Conversation Heart necklace; my love of jewelry and conversion hearts began. I treasured that piece and always felt so soft and pretty when I wore it. It wouldn't fit around my neck now but as a little girl, you would've have thought that was pure gold around my neck.
May your Valentines weekend be full of so many precious memories like my heart necklace story and simply love a little extra on all those special people around you.

Someone brought conversation hearts into work and it brought me back to grade school - love it!! All those valentine's day outfits are so pretty! Hope you have a great weekend girl! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI love candy hearts but sadly (and strangely) not one has had them around the office this year. Have a great weekend!

You're right! All we had was Avon growing up! That necklace is so cute and special! I'm loving all of the heart tops and I think I might need to try that martini! Have a wonderful weekend!

ReplyDeleteI'll be over later for one those cocktails, and I love those heart tops!! Those cookies are also super cute. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love how you always start your Friday posts off with a drink recipe! It's like, let me enjoy this toddy while I read what my dear, awesome friend has to say! Fact: i don't do candy hearts. I feel like I'm eating chalk! Cheers to snuggles with our Valentine's this weekend!
ReplyDeletehahaha I used to LOVE going through my mom's avon books, seriously, I still kinda like looking at the catalogs! lol
ReplyDeleteYUMMY martini, one day I'd like to meet you in person and taste-test all these yummy drinks you make... and the food... YUM
Happy Valentine's weekend!!!
Oh my gosh, everything in that drink looks amazing. I think I have just about all of it on hand, so I really want to make them this weekend :) Also, those heart tops!! I really need something festive for this weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh that martini looks delicious. I sort of wish I had one right now. I'm probably the only person in the world who does not like conversation hearts. I think they are cute to look at but I won't eat them as I don't like the taste. Everyone in my family LOVES them except for me. haha Hope you have a wonderful weekend pretty lady!
ReplyDeleteThose martinis look delicious and too funny that you only eat certain color hearts! I'll have to pay more attention next time I have them. Cuddled up with a blankie sounds perfect this weekend. We got hit with a decent amount of snow on Wednesday and a little last night. Luckily I think they are toning down our weekend forecast. I am so ready for spring! Have a great weekend and enjoy your Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great Valentine's Day post! Love all those cute heart tops and the Valentine's Day trees!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet necklace!!

Also, I love your little candy quirk, I love learning peoples little idiosyncrasies, makes me so happy :D I hope you have a truly wonderful Valentine's day my beautiful friend, full of love and hapiness! XO -Kim
ReplyDeleteHey you! I just want to take a second and say I LOVE when you comment on my blog. In honor of the holiday you just need to know you are such a beacon of happiness and light. You always make me smile! Thank you sweet lady! Now that necklace story you posted up there...tears. So sweet! I wish you a wonderful weekend with a bursting heart of joy! xoxoxo Amanda
ReplyDeleteThe necklace story is so sweet! And I love all of those heart tops! So cute!
ReplyDeleteLove martini is awesome and I love the love clothes! I'm not so much into the Valentine's trees because I think it looks a little like you just left your tree up (which is how mine would look!), though the idea is really cute.
ReplyDeleteThe martini sounds delicious. My mom would buy me the bunny pins with perfume in them from Avon. I still like them for the memories they recall. Happy Valentine's Day. We will be snuggling too as -15 is supposed to be our temp tomorrow and more snow on Sunday.
ReplyDeletelove all of this my friend! so glad i came across your blog in the linkup! hope you'll stop by mine! happy vday weekend friend!
ReplyDeleteI'd never seen a Valentine's tree before, what a great idea to get more use from a Christmas tree! It looks lovely too :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great Valentine's day.

ReplyDeleteHope you had a really wonderful weekend with your sweetheart. What a precious story about your necklace. And those cookies - yum!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post Andrea. For the longest time now I have dreamed of putting up a Valentine-themed tree. I have plenty of heart ornaments too. How great are those trees, especially the second one. And those conversation hearts are so cute. But I would love love that martini and one of those gorgeous Valentine cookies.
ReplyDeleteI think you would love my current V-Day post.
HOPE YOUR VALENTINE'S DAY WAS AMAZING!
