FRIDAY FAVORITES TWINS SHOWER TOP 5

Happy Friday friends! Well, the twin girls shower was a huge success! Those kids and girlies were loved on so much. Everything ended up coming together perfectly. After we decorated for eight hours on Friday, my mom asked me if it was everything I had hoped for and yes, I was happy to make my vision come true to make it magical for them. Above pic when I was EXHAUSTED after decorating all day. I’m going to be hopping on a ferry to an island soon, so for now, just sharing some of my favorite decor/things. I’ll have more details and shower pics for you next week.

 1. The Balloons

What event would not be made more special than with balloons! As you’ve seen before, we have the best local balloon artist, and she, too, made my vision, come to life with her balloon backdrop, and adorable, personalized balloon columns!

2. The Flowers

Seriously friends, the flowers! The centerpieces were incredible! I found the clear vases with rattan overlays on clearance at Michael’s, so they made 13 incredible centerpieces for us, as well as putting two wildflowers in each of the little bud vases for takeaways. Love, love love. I gave everyone that helped a Centerpiece. I brought a couple home and took more photos, lol!

3. Donut Wall
Could you just die over this donut wall! My neighbor had it at her daughter’s graduation open house, and I found out it was rentable by a friend of hers who so kindly shared it with me! A local bakery they all did donuts, but I totally overestimated and we're seeing donuts in our dreams.

4. Cookies

How precious are the personalized cookies! This was the mamas dream brought to life by a dear friend of hers, who runs Sugared Roots Bakery.

5. The Outfits

I saved one of the clothing outfits I got the girls as some of their shower gifts! My fav! Are these not the cutest outfits? Distressed jeans right down to a whole I. The knees, cozy UGG booties and the 0 to 6 mo hand-knitted sweaters from an incredible friend on Etsy, will grow with them this winter and are darling!

AMAZON LET'S PARTY EDITION

While the florist, balloon designer, and caterer we’re all hired, there’s still so many supplies to get when you are hosting a party, in my case a twin baby girls shower. Here are just a few of my favorite things I bought from Amazon for the event coming up this weekend. Linking up with the wonderful Tanya for her monthly AMAZON Link-Up!

Bud Vases

Last week I took 70 of these Bud Vases to the florist and they’re going to fill all of them with two wildflowers each symbolizing the twins and the theme of the shower.

Party Decorations

Not quite sure what I’m gonna do with these Party Decorations, but I loved the mix. Maybe we’ll hang from the ceiling or just fill in for spots that need a little something.

Wood Thank You Tags

These Wood Heart Thank You cuties go on the vases and were tied on before we gave them to the florist. I love that they are wood and that you get 100. They even come with the twine.

Cute Floral Writing Pens

Of course, will be playing games and while I have a lot of pens, I don’t think I have 70 lying around. With the floral theme on these Writing Pens and the rose gold, they fit the shower design perfectly, and will go at each place setting.

Pink Plastic Plates

While we are using real China for the party, you still need plates as back up and set beside the donut wall in case people don’t want put donuts on their brunch plate. For the kind of classy shower this is, I just didn’t want to do paper plates. Love the scallops on these Pink Plates!

Mom-osas Sign

It wasn’t until the shower that I saw This Take on Mimosas. It’s so fitting for a baby shower and the mom to be. Of course we will have non-alcoholic options for the little girls and those under 21 and there will be some more mamas to be there. Keep in mind when hosting a baby shower that you might want someone to pour the Prosecco instead of helping themselves (messy and spills; no thanks). One of our caters will be taking care of this for us.

Gold Cutlery

I knew I wanted Gold Cutlery, but nobody I knew had enough gold for this to work and it would’ve been way too expensive to purchase and then what would we have done with it all? You guys, I cannot believe how real they look with the hammered design. They are beautiful and I can’t believe they’re plastic. Nice weight.

Paper Straws

What would a party be without Cute Paper Straws? These will be on the Momosa table, and they were also tied onto all the little bottles of bubbly that will be sitting at the tables for additional take home gifts.

Tulle and Satin Table Skirt

Ahhhh be still my heart! These Table Skirts are a thing of beauty, so girly, so classy, so original and fun. I love them so much and they attach super easy to countertops, tables and tablecloths and include all the Velcro you need. These are in a beautiful champagne color that match the tablecloths.

As you know, I will be sharing much more of the shower, but I feel like these items could work well for other parties, including bridal showers, weddings, birthday parties, and graduation open houses or just a classy get together.

Bonus

FRIDAY FAVORITES FRIENDS IN CHICAGO

Always an endless amount of fun when you travel to the town of Chicago! Continues to be my favorite city in America, and so lucky to be less than two hours away from it. Even more lucky to have friends also near that make it such a delight to get together. This Friday favorites is Dedicated to a girl’s last weekend that I wish you could’ve been longer.

So, along with much of the country, we had some heat and did not really want to be walking around the city during the peak of it, so we decided to go to the BARBIE MOVIE just right next to our hotel. Of course, we got decked out in pink. Perfect friends to see this movie with; Jill from Doused in Pink and Laura from I DO deCLAIRE.

I absolutely loved my outfit, so much fun!

Look at the BOW in back!

As you probably have read before, my favorite hotel in Chicago is the Loews, for many reasons. This time it exceeded my expectations as they upgraded our Lakeview suite to the navy pier suite, and it was absolutely incredible. Definitely making me wish we would’ve had more time there!

After the movie, Kathrine from the Kathrine Eldridge blog joined is. She got us a coveted reservation at this Mediterranean restaurant called Ema and it did not disappoint. So far one of my favorite eateries in Chicago and I did not even get one picture but I did get a picture of dessert. Kathrine also found us the Dessert Dealer and we got our Sugar Fix with dessert tacos that were out of this world!

Next up was the rooftop Bar Avec that Mr. Nine and I had gone to in May. A thunderstorm was rolling in, but we got an opportunity for a photo, and each had a yummy cocktail. We’re headed back to our incredible suite and chitchatted before bed.

The next morning our dear Caroline from The Petite Fashionista was able to join us for brunch at The Albert. The food was absolutely delicious and not only did Caroline’s husband get some photos when he came to pick her up, but the doorman got a couple goodies as well. Already thinking about our next get together and definitely a favorite of the summer!

AND You know what else was great, non of us were on Social Media and it was grand!!
