FRIDAY FAVORITES.....STARS & STRIPES SORT OF

Whoohoo, it’s FRI-YAY! I’m celebrating because yesterday, the Dr. got all the stupid squamous skin cancer cells and it’s just a matter of healing now with the stiches. Hopefully the scar won’t be too bad but so happy to have it DONE!!

I’m calling this the Stars and Stripes edition with this sweater in case you want to get a jump on something cute for Memorial Day and the 4th, but no need to rush it. Heck, it’s going to be so cold here in Indiana, flowers are once again covered and anymore pool days look faaar off.

1. Potting Bench

With my love of flowers, of course I have always wanted a Potting Bench! I got this one from Yaheetech and it is so nice. My sweet son put it together and it’s adorable. It’s also very functional. There’s even a spot on the side with hooks to hold my gardening tools.

It has Spacious working/storage space: Measuring 112x46cm/44.1x18.1" the large tabletop covered with galvanized metal sheet providing a corrosion-resistant and ample placing/working/crafting space. Apart from the drawer under the tabletop, the slatted shelf and the roomy cabinet at the bottom offer open storage and enclosed space to satisfy various storage needs.

Check out all kinds of amazing products from Yaheetech HERE

2. More Nature
Nature just keeps throwing us beautiful blessings!
BABY ROBIN'S

Remember Last Week I showed you the robins’ eggs? Well, those sweet babies hatched last weekend and I caught them very very hungry. I got away quickly so mama could come feed them!

AZALEA

Why oh why don’t azaleas bloom longer? This one bloomed its beautiful orchid color this week, but it will be gone before you know it. Such a shame with such a little bloom time on these beauties!

BLEEDING HEART

I also showed you my bleeding-heart plant on Instagram last weekend. Many of you have never seen one before. This is the first year that it has really thrived. So many blooms and they actually look like hearts bleeding out the bottom.

MEMES

MY MOM

Lots of hugs have been giving to mama the past couple weeks since I have been able to hug her again after our vaccinations and best of all, she will spend Mother’s Day at our House for Chinese and maybe get in a walk. Restaurants will just be too crowded and it’s too cold for alfresco dining. BUT look how beautiful she looks. I gave her this Elfrida Smokey Quartz ring from German Kabirski early but can’t wait to shower her with love on Sunday. She is a sweet gift to me and all who know her. I think part of my struggles turning 50 last month is the overwhelming mortality of my parents, my extended older family and my sweet Mr. Nine. I can’t bear it, so what I will do is treasure every second I get to spend with them. My mom and I can once again enjoy outings, shenanigans, beach days, etc and you can bet, I’ll hug her every time we part!!

Happy Weekend my friends!!
Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's, aunts, grandmas', fur moms, friends, mentors....no matter happy or sad, near, far or in heaven, may sweet memories and LOVE surround you!

FRIDAY FAVORITES....ALL THE LOVE

I was going to have this Friday Favorites include Chicago for our quick overnight there, but I have so much to share about it, so I’m making it an entire post next week. Also, much more to come about the fabulous Birthday LOVE I received from Friends and family.

It was an unseasonably warm week here with 80° temps and I enjoyed every second of it. And Mr. Nine got his second vaccine on Wednesday thank goodness. I get my next week. He did say yesterday that he felt like a Mack truck hit him but he’s tough and he’s strong and he plugged away!

 1. Birthday Luncheon

Truly, I probably should’ve titled this post all the love from my marvelous mom! My mom executed the most fabulous birthday lunch last week! She pulled out all the stops from the ombré pink cake, gorgeous decorations, my favorite eggplant Parmesan lunch with a delightful salad and of course the traditional yearly Key Lime pie! THE BEST KEY LIME EVER… Recipe HERE

All the gifts she gave me were straight from her heart and I may have cried many happy tears. There’s so much to mention and I shared a little bit on Instagram stories but my favorite gift of all is the Beautiful Necklace she gave me that was her own handwriting! She sent her handwriting to the Etsy Seller that said, “Love you beautiful girl, mama” And they created the most precious piece that I will keep forever!

Opening it before I cried, lol

Just precious! Talk about a special gift for those you love! She can do bracelets and rings as well!

2. Michigan Day

In keeping with my precious mom theme, we got to enjoy a lovely day and soak in those temperatures in lower Michigan on Wednesday! We just had to take advantage of the great weather because it’s back to the 50s here in a couple days, typical Indiana weather.

We enjoyed a lovely alfresco lunch at a place in New Buffalo Michigan called Beer Church. It’s so much fun you guys and the Margherita pizza and blood orange mule was delicious!

We then stopped by a greenhouse but the greenhouses here are not quite ready with their flowers yet, so it was on up to St Joe, Michigan to Silver Beach. Had we known so many people were going to be laying out on the beach, we would’ve joined in, but by that time we were just ready to work off our lunch with a walk out to the beautiful pier! Lake Michigan is so tranquil!

JUMPING FOR SPRING JOY

I was celebrating the day I wore this adorable jumpsuit! It was mine and my mom‘s first outing since she had her second vaccine and the first time we had ridden in a car together in months. This comfortable and adorable green boiler suit jumpsuit in the softest material from ROOLEE was the perfect thing to wear to celebrate and help usher in spring. All theirSets and Jumpsuits are super cute!

The pockets make it extra cute!

Our trek was up to Trader Joe’s that as you all know is like an hour and 15 minutes away from me but we’re getting one in our area that will only be 25 minutes away so I’m super excited for the Fall. In the town, where we went, Kalamazoo Michigan, they have some really cool murals so of course I mapped one out to get some photos.

It seems like the kind of shoes I wear in the Spring soooo often are cute little sneakers. So, I thought my Stan Smith Originals would be perfect with this. Arms get chilly, just add a little Jean Jacket and the cuteness continues. Also wearing my new Peepers sunglasses, the Heat Wave Aviators. Only $25 and 4 frame color choices along with Reading Strength options. LOVE Them.

Make sure you check out all the cute pieces ROOLEE has to offer.

Doesn’t Mom look adorable in her Spring Trench coat,

leopard and pop of coral?
