FRIDAY FAVORITES......GOODBYE AUGUST

Well, if you ask me, the Labor Day weekend is always the last hurrah of Summer. It looks like a decent one on tap and one full of pool time, one college boy home for a wedding, and loads of college football including our beloved Notre Dame Fighting Irish kicking off Monday night. Hope you soak up a little dog days of summer yourself.

1. STYLE SIX
Woohoo, we bloggers and non-bloggers alike need and love some style inspiration. Beginning Wednesday, September 11th, my 5 bestest blog pals and I have created a new Fashion and Beauty Link-Up called the STYLE SIX! If you’re like us, and love not only linking up your posts but finding fun fashion ideas in one spot, don’t miss this link-up. It will go LIVE on all 6 of our Blogs every Wednesday at 4am EST.

2. DAY DATE GONE WRONG
What was supposed to be a delightful Day Date on a Delightful Summer Saturday turned into a Horrible day for me because of 3 little words: Key Lime Martini! They are my FAV and got excited the new to us restaurant had them, but I drank em’ so quick that Mr. Nine had to take me home to a spinning evening and postpone our other destinations. Lesson LEARNED SIP Them not DOWN them, lol. And have a partner who understands and buys you lots of crackers.

Before I downed that thing, OH larwd!

I did get to wear a fav dress, lol

My dear friend Laura first sold me on the leopard Skirt. She styled hers with A Dolly tee and I thought a pop of pink would go good with my eyelash tee. Just love how it turned out and so comfy!

Beach Trip
I’ll be doing an entire future post on the little beach getaway I took my mom on this week. We had a lovely, relaxing time and even tasted a little wine! Yep, I like to rhyme like that, lol.

Anchor Beads
Earlier this week on Insta I shared my new ANCHOR BEADS with a bracelet stack and gorgeous necklace. I care so much about this company because 10% of their sales go to cancer research in honor of the late Georgia, who passed away from cancer in 2015. She’s the precious little girl of the sweet owner, Amber. Anchor Beads honors the memory of sweet Georgia. They’re beautiful just like she was.
Through tomorrow, you can still get 15% off your entire order with code: CLOUDNINE

Oh Snap
First of all, what a brilliant name for a snack and second, these are the crispest pickle slices I have ever had in my life!

Pink Tile Wall
I forgot to share this pink bathroom wall in my Pink Favorites Edition last Friday. Beautiful!

Have FUN, Be SAFE & May Your Long Weekend Be SWEET!

POLKA DOTS AND LAVENDER

No, I am not wearing any lavender but some of these pictures were taken in a lavender field amongst lots of dead lavender, LOL! I had these dreams and visions of one of those bloggers in a cute outfit in a field flowing with tall stems of fragrant lavender, purple hues as far as the eye could see.

However, instead what we got was a few sporadic patches amongst lots of dead lavender due to the harsh Midwest winter! I could’ve almost cried for the owners because so many people flock to the beautiful fields. Maybe better luck next year. However, the day was not a bust, we did get some cute pictures and ended up at the Fernwood Botanical gardens for more pictures, a lovely walk through the grounds and a great lunch at their café with all kinds a homemade sandwiches, soups and desserts! More about that on my Friday favorites.

In the meantime, let’s talk about how adorable this blush pink and polka dot JUMPSUIT is? It’s a halter style with the cutest little ruffle detail, just the right length so I could even wear cute Flats. Best part, it was under $35 from Kohl’s. It was super comfy, and I loved dressing it up with champagne and off-white jewelry like my Kendra Scott necklace. The Floppy Hat was the perfect added touch.

Once again, I think a jumpsuit like this would be adorable with a Jean jacket heading into the cooler months or even a cool evening.

THE SPRINKLES CUPCAKE EXPERIENCE

CUP CAKE!! Yes yes, I know it's one word; Cupcake! However, the whole anticipation of the Sprinkles ATM experience had me saying CUP-CAKE, CUP-CAKE, CUP-CAKE, LOL. Remember that little booklet I told you about and had a picture of in my Post last week? Well, number one on that list was to go to the SPRINKLES ATM machine! I know I know, probably most of you have heard about them but I did not know about it till I saw a cupcake ATM on a blogger's post a few months ago and I was so excited when I saw they had one in Vegas.

On the first day of exploring the sin city, my husband and I were on a hunt for the Sprinkles Bakery. At first, I thought we were not going to find it, but if you're looking for it, it's on the brick road towards the big Ferris wheel down by the Cromwell Hotel, quite a quaint little stretch. And guess what? For those of you who love IN and OUT Burger, there's one right beside of it!

I got super lucky in that respect but there was no line at the machine. Mr. Nine got the camera on the iPhone ready & I thought he was going to only take one picture but he got the sequence of my excitement and anticipation of my red velvet delight! You knew it was gonna be red velvet, that is my all-time favorite cupcake in the whole wide world. I make a mean Red Velvet cake that we often have a Christmas but it was my mom who is the Queen of all the Red Velvet cupcakes! Her mini ones are pop in your mouth out of this world good and moist. So this cupcake had a lot to live up to. At $4.50, I thought to myself, it better be mind altering. And little boy kinda half way thinking about it but still unsure; I'm sorry if this middle-aged "in need of a sugar fix" woman scared you off...

Here we go.....

Mr. Nine and I walked over to a table and opened the sturdy square box. There it was. I was ready. I didn't even care if I got red velvet on my white pants. I pulled the paper back and dove it. Verdict: Good but not that Good!! Not near my mom's caliber. It just wasn't "that" fresh.

We think there's a dude in a Sprinkles hat who hears a bell when you make a "Cupcake Withdrawal" and pops one of the pre-made cupcakes stacked in boxes behind the door and Bam...... there it is.

The CUPCAKE itself: 3 out of 5 stars
THE SPRINKLES ATM experience: 5 out of 5 stars baby!!

And now, The outfit deets. I am so in love with this top from Nordstrom. In fact, I saw sweet Sheaffer showcased it on her blog on Friday, so I knew I had a goodie. It also comes in blush, black, navy arrow and a beautiful Kelly green that I may have to get as well. It's flowy and comfy and really knocks it out of the park with white jeans, cute accessories and sandals.

Oh, RUB the Buddha's Belly in the back Lobby of the Aria for Good Luck. Oh I rubbed~
