Hi friends! Hope you had a great week and are looking forward to a sweet weekend! Mr. Nine and I drove round-trip nine hours last Sunday to check out something we’ve been dreaming about. We thought it was going to become a reality, but this week got our hopes and dreams dashed. Not going to say it wasn’t a sad couple of days, but we are blessed beyond measure, and we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and know that when something doesn’t work out, it means it wasn’t meant to be. We can still dream, and we know that dream will someday be a reality that I hope to share with you all when it happens. I still found lots of JOY this week to share with you.
THINKING OF YOU
I feel Mother’s should be celebrated every day of the year. And for many it is a HARD day!! Just know I see you and I love you. For those of us still lucky to have our mama’s, thank God each day for that. To all of you who are moms, know you incredible, did the best you could, and you are to be appreciated and celebrated. It's a hard but wonderful gig!
TEA WITH MOM
Speaking of being blessed to still enjoy time with my mama, to kick off the Mother’s Day celebrations, mom and I went to a Mom & Me tea at an historic home bed-and-breakfast in a local town. Just Lovely! We even got to see the guest rooms...all so quaint!
CHECKERED SHOES
40% all sandals Now thru Sunday Target! Sooo many cute ones like these Checkered Ones I got. Comfortable and Darling!
Just look at all the cute ones! I own 3 of these but also think I’m going to order Pearl Embellished and Cherry slides.
PROTEIN BOWL
One of my easiest protein bowls yet and packing the biggest protein punch! I had bought some chocolate peanut butter protein powder awhile back and wondered what I was going to do with it. I love vanilla protein powder, but I’m not big on the chocolate but let me tell you this easy protein bowl is just right. You mix 3/4 cup of plain Greek yogurt with a scoop of the chocolate peanut butter protein powder, and add a scoop of PB fit protein powder. Mix well. Melt 1 tablespoons of semi sweet chocolate chips smooth on top stick in the fridge for 20 minutes add a dollop of whipped topping, I use the so delicious coco whip, and some berries if you would like. 51 g of protein and oh so delicious!
NATURE/HUMMINGBIRDS
A hummer was first spotted on May 1st at one of our feeders. Then I didn’t see him again until Monday night sitting on top of a feeder! Thank goodness I had my phone in my hand to get a pic. AND saw 2 fighting yesterday morn.

Happy Mother's day! That tea looks like so much fun. I am going to have to look for those checkered slides online as our local target only had 2 or 3 of the styles in that graphic and not any of the ones I like. Not that I really need any more shoes either but sometimes I just can't resist.
ReplyDeleteThat tea place looks lovely and loving all these sandals from Target! Happy Mother's Day my friend! XO

Happy Mother's Day! The tea looks lovely. I accidentally deleted your comment on my blog and now I can't find it! I did read it, though. Sorry!
ReplyDeleteThat tea place looks so quaint! Love all of your sandal picks from Target! I might have to get the gingham pair!

The mom and me tea looks like it was fun (and tasty!) Your protein bowl looks great too. I'll have to give that a go! Have a wonderful weekend and a happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day- I like that graphic. Mother's Day is hard for so many. My mom used to cry at some point every Mother's Day but she never said why. Well, of course I know now- her mom died when my mom was in college and my mom missed her mom. I know how much you love and appreciate your mom- the tea you guys went to looks lovely. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat tea!!! It looks amazing. Sorry about your disappointment early in the week and I hope something great comes out of it and shows itself to you soon.
ReplyDeleteHope you & your momma have a lovely Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteI didnt know Target had a sandal sale - heading there right now!
It’s so nice that you and your mom went out for tea together. The hummingbirds are so cute. I hope you have a happy Mother’s Day!

I wish my mom was healthier so we could do more but we will go out to eat for Mother's day and her birthday. Still hoping to take her shopping one of these days.
