Summer officially arrives on the calendar tomorrow and we’re going to kick it off in style! Now listen here Mother Nature, keep that rain away! We are planning a family day out with the kids and their girlfriends including a picnic, live music outside at a winery and maybe some miniature golf at a local distillery and whatever else the lower Lake Michigan adventure brings us! Masks are ready to go, picnic basket packed, and outfit picked out, lol.
1. First Restaurant Since Covid-19
I can’t believe it, but we actually did it, we ate out for the first time since COVID-19 began. Now, granted it was dining alfresco by a lake, at 50% spacing but it just felt good to get served food and bask in the open air! Now, we had to go to another county to do this, I’m not sure I feel comfortable yet doing it in my own county as numbers are rising. On the way home, it was hats on, windows down, moon roof open and just cruising with the air in our hair!

YUM! This week’s YETI Bartender was inspired by my favorite drink at Ruth’s Chris steak House! Every year, right before Christmas break ends, we go as a family to Ruth’s Chris and my mom and I always get pomegranate martinis! What a beautiful place to be able to eat! We haven't gone out yet, but have done curbside pickup a few times. We wanted to try to do our part to help the small local restaurants. It was kind of fun! Have a wonderful weekend, sweet lady!

ReplyDeleteWoo hoo for outdoor dining!!!! We finally did some outdoor dining when we were at the beach and it felt so good to be out! We have yet to go out to eat here in our own town, though, because cases are on the rise and we want to be extra careful.
ReplyDeleteDustin and I have only eaten out once, too, and we also ate outside. I'm excited to be at the beach next week so Harrison can actually see people ha! I feel terrible that he hasn't had any socialization with other children since March!
