Hi friends...Hallelujah for Friday!!! Been another rough week with this crud I have had for two weeks but Dr. prescribed some meds so hoping things look up because next week I have a meeting with a turkey (my mom is going to teach me how to make a turkey for the first time EVAH) and food prepping galore. And I'm putting my tree up, first time we haven't had a real one in years but this is a "most realistic" Fraser Fir (the kind we always used to get) from Balsam Hill so I'm pretty excited. Check them out HERE.
I try to live a grateful life and count my blessings each day. Here are a few of my favorite "gratefuls" for the week.
1. These Guys Having Fun Last Weekend!!
So very grateful for these loves. They both had really fun times at college last weekend. Mr. Nine went Dad's Day for one son's fraternity and another son went to a Saddie Hawkins dance in a Barn. I think their smiles say it all. So grateful they are starting to really enjoy college and even more grateful they will be home a week from Tuesday for Thanksgiving break!!

2. SWEETS
Ok, I admit it I'm grateful for sweet treats. I plan on making this for the birthday of a sweet girl in our life. Wouldn't it be the perfect ball for Turkey Day...the colors are
so Thanksgiving Festive!

3. Mom's Chicken Soup
Of course you know how grateful I am for my mama. Not having any brothers or sisters or a large family, I so grateful for all the things she does for us...like homemade chicken soup when we're sick.
4. Week's Attire
Grateful I have a job where I can dress up but yet doesn't have to be in full business attire.
Target Cardigan and Dress, Macy's Booties
Tara Lynn Boutique Polka Dot shirt, Port Authority Cardigan
Nordstrom Top by Chelsea 28, Charming Charlie wood necklace
5. Leopard Pants
This is going to sound strange but I am grateful for Leopard!!! Grrr. Add a pop of leopard to any outfit and BAM! I am not big on printed pants but leopard printed pants...YES please!

Rest up and enjoy that chicken soup! Love those leopard pants!
ReplyDeleteAhhh those leopard pants are just fabulous on you!!! Love love love that whole outfit!!! How sweet that your mom brings you chicken noodle soup! Chris's mom brought us chicken and rice once when we were both down with a bug and I thought it was the nicest thing. I have never attempted to make a whole turkey, chicken or ham either and need to learn day. Hope you have a great weekend and are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteSorry you are still feeling ucky! I hope you are better before turkey day. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday... so it is mandatory that you feel better actually. I am sure you will do great on the turkey and it will be fun to spend some time in the kitchen with your mom. Have a wonderful weekend. I hope it is restful and rejuvenating!
ReplyDeleteThere is NOTHING like mom's chicken soup when you are sick! My husband will still call his mom and ask her to make it when he's sick and I don't mind one but because it is delicious!
ReplyDeleteHope you start feeling better so soon!! This is SUCH a great post! Definitely perfect for this time of year when everyone should reflect and be thankful! I NEED those leopard pants in my closet--you look fab in them!

As always I am LOVIN' the outfits. Also, we got our first artificial tree two years ago and I will never go back to a real one. That being said, I said I would NEVER get a fake tree EVER. Hahaha. Look at me now. I love it and BBW makes some great smelling candles so you won't not miss the scent of a real tree. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday! I'm sorry to hear you still aren't feeling well :( I hope those meds kick in soon. Glad to hear your sons are doing well. I miss my college days! We had ZBT on our campus too. I was in a sorority and some of my sorority sisters are still my closest friends. You are rocking those leopard pants!! Hope you feel better and enjoy your weekend. xo Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteI've been eyeing that Reese's PB ball... that just looks all sorts of amazing!!!

You have the crud, too!? I was sick before China, kind of better during China, and now I'm getting sick again. My mama doesn't make me homemade soup but she owns a soup restaurant...almost just as good!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon, sweet Andrea! And you are indeed blessed! Just look at your beautiful family! You are the proud mama to amazing boys!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, love!

I hope that you feel better soon. Soup from mama always makes things better. I am so in love with your last top from Nordstroms. Your boys look so happy. Glad they had a great time at their events.
ReplyDeleteAll the heart eyes for those leopard pants! OMG. Those are amazing.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to feeling better soon. It's no fun being sick this time of year. Last year I felt so yucky on Thanksgiving and I didn't even get to eat any of the delicious food. Fingers crossed for a better year this year!
I hope those meds kick in for you and you're starting to feel better! We also got our tree from Balsam Hill and we love it! Your sons look like they're having a blast at college!
ReplyDeleteHey sweetness! Still fighting that crud?!?! I hate that! Look at you in that leopard - adoration to the hilt! So glad your mom is taking good care of you guys. She's a mint! Look at the boys - I was a greek life girl myself fun memories. I cannot wait to see that Balsam Hill tree and wish I was closer! I would bring homemade cough syrup from down here and we would have a blast! XOX
ReplyDeleteLoving your Friday Favorites - so many cute outfits! Looks like you have a lot of fun things going on - hope you feel better in time for Turkey Day!!!

Girl, I love my leopard pants! I even recreated your second pic with the red shoes last year! It's a favorite outfit of mine, but seeing your pic reminded me that I haven't thrown that one together in a while. Guess I need to wear that soon! Ha! I hope to goodness you and Mr. Nine are feeling 100% soon. Being sick has been no fun for me, either, this fall. Thank the Lord for our Mamas. So glad she lives near you so that she could bless y'all with some good, hearty soup! Looks delish! Get some rest this weekend so you and your Mama can cook that big bird next week! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Andrea!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better soon. I can't believe you have never cooked a turkey!
ReplyDeleteI have a confession to make: I bought some leopard print Hue leggings at a thrift store and have never had the courage to wear them! Seeing you in your leopard pants ... Maybe this year? (You look GREAT!)
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! Grateful for leopards pants!
ReplyDeleteLoving your outfits this week, you always look amazing. Hope you feel better soon Andrea!!!

ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better my friend. I think that was pretty cool and creative, your son's tattoo. Love those leapard pants! They look fantastic and you look so gorgeous, love the edge, a bit rock and roll!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
