COOKIE MONSTER ICE CREAM

"C" is for cookie and cookie is for me! These are the famous words of Cookie Monster, loved by me in the 70's and still loved by kids today. This ice cream incorporates that blue love with 2 kinds of cookies plus it is no churn and the kids will love helping to make this. And you'll all love eating it. Summer and Ice cream just go hand in hand and a new recipe just adds to the Family Fun! Enjoy!

FRIDAY FAVORITES: SUMMER EDITION

Ahh Friday!
Summer!! It's here it's really here I cannot Believe it! We've waited a long time for this! What are you looking forward to the summer? I'm looking forward to our yearly family vacation to Lake Michigan, our County Fair, which is the second largest County Fair in the country, lighter meals, extra exercising because it doesn't feel like exercising because it's fun outside, fresh strawberries and vegetables, homemade ice cream and my first favorite just name a few, sunsets!!

1. SUNSETS

These pictures are from Lake Michigan.
I've seen a lot of sunsets and let me tell ya, Lake Michigan sunsets are more beautiful than the Caribbean. Maybe it's just us because we're "Smitten with the Mitten" but they will take your breath away sometimes.

Carrie from Curly Crafty Mom said her and her husbands favorite summertime activity is a sunset paddle-boat picnic. Doesn't that sound wonderful!!

2. BAJA STYLE FISH TACOS
Can you believe I had never had fish tacos until last Summer!! Now I'm in love and pray they'll be on the menu. Here are some scrumptious ones to make at home!!

3. PLEASING PANTRY
Some serious ingredients and gadgets stored in here! The doors have it that's for sure!!

 4. WORK ATTIRE

You'll notice with two of the tops, I am into the see through sweater trend. Nice way to wear a lightweight sweater and not really get hot with the simple cami underneath.

5. Ice Cream Cone for Dinner

Yep, I knew no one was going to be home last night for dinner so I had my indulgence for the week. One dip of Lemon on a sugar cone and ate it on the drive home from work.
Heaven!!

Let me tell ya, there is a reason this ice cream institution is tops in the state and in the top 33 in the country. It is the BEST!
(My husbands favorite is peanut butter and the butter pecan is delish too, well every flavor is amazing here!!)

Happy, Happy Summertime Weekend friends. Enjoy!
