FRIDAY FAVORITES MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND ALREADY?

Happy Friday of a long weekend for some of you to celebrate our glorious Memorial Day here in the USA! As summer heats up, hopefully, (it sure was cold this week here in Indiana), I noticed that blog readership is waning down once again. That usually happens in the summer season and that’s just fine but all that to say I’m going to save my juicy content for Fall and keep it light over here. Oh and good news, the pool is back in shape and all chems are balanced.

How stinking cute are these CHAIRS!!! I knew when I saw them at Walmart that the girls needed them for our house as they match our back porch so good! They are adorable!

Tucci Salad

I saw this recipe online the day we started watching Stanley Tucci‘s new show in Italy. It sounded so light and refreshing and healthy for summer to me and boy was it ever! Just such lovely flavors! I modified his recipe a little bit and I think the addition of the lemon juice and feta cheese made it amazing! Recipe Below photo.

The Insalata Stanley Tucci

1/2 can cooked cannellini beans, drained and slightly warmed.

Handful of Cherry tomatoes, chopped.

1-2 mini cucumbers, chopped.

1/4 cup red onion, chopped.

1 can of tuna in water, drained.

Handful of fresh basil, torn.

2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil.

Large pinch of sea salt.

Splash of Fresh squeezed lemon juice

Pinch of Pepper

Feta Cheese crumbles, optional

Nature: Baby Geese

You guys, this is a sad story. We have all kinds of geese families around our pond and this couple had two sweet little baby geese but this week, Mr. Nine and I have only seen one. I’m afraid an animal or something got their other one and it makes me so sad!

But this Azalea sure makes me happy! My mom and I had to go yet to another greenhouse this week because I wanted to replace a few flowers and move a couple things around. As we were driving in, my mom said, “look at that pink, it doesn’t even look real!” The owner noted that it’s his mother ‘s and has been there for a long time and if they knew what variety it was, I’m sure they could sell, hundreds! If you know, let me know because I want one BAAAD! It’s almost like a little tree versus a bush. They said people even come just to take photos in front of it when it’s blooming, lol.

Our not busy weekend is heating up and I'm totally ok with that. Just wish the temperatures would, lol. The twins are coming over today, so I’ve got Grammy duty!! Yay!
