FRIDAY FAVORITES.....BEAUTY OF SUMMER

The beauty of summer is everywhere! And while my favorite season is Fall, I am enjoying soaking up what summer has to offer! This has been a difficult week, Mr. Nine was traveling and thank goodness is finally home, because things just go wrong when he is gone and because a dear friend of ours passed away, I always called him my favorite dad of all our kid’s friends! He never met a stranger and had the kindest soul!! Pray for his family and prayers for another family who, we just found out, had a very tragic loss. Hold your loved ones a little tighter!

1. New Gold Necklace..On Trend!

Talk about Beautiful! I am absolutely crazy about these Dainty and Darling Gold Necklaces! I was first introduced to this sweet jewelry company, Aurate, a couple years ago and I have loved their beautiful, affordable and feminine jewelry ever since! Their necklaces are probably my favorite! A big trend right now is the gold chain links and the small ones the encompass this one are so sweet and special! I love the uniqueness that the square pendant gave to it. I think I may get the Solid Square Necklace and the Mini Medaillion Necklace to layer with it as well!

2. Finally...The Campus Grad Pics

We finally did what we’ve been waiting to do for months, and that was go to our two graduated college boy’s campuses for pictures by all the iconic spots! It was a very hot day, but a very productive one and I even came home with a hotdog suit that a girl had left behind at a party. Don’t worry, I disinfected it well and washed on delicate so the condiments on it wouldn’t come off, LOL!

FLOWERS
Something else that has been a saving grace during all this are my beautiful flowers! Tending to them has given me something to do and brought immense joy. And the first pot is of the coveted bubblegum petunias that I have all over the place. This pot has just for bubblegum plants in it but look how huge it’s gotten.

You may have seen me talk about these as well, this is the first time I’ve ever had Elephant Ear plants and can I just say, our whole family is in love with these tropical beauties! The palms are huge!

The second picture shows some new shoots are growing up from the dirt as well, not just the main plant. And I love the coleus's with them.

FRIDAY FAVORITES...VALENTINE'S DAY EDITION

Happy Valentine’s Day my beautiful lovelies! Well, I have virtually done nothing this week, I think I overdid it during the weekend and this cold has kept me down with the deep coughs and yucky feels. Hoping to feel better this weekend and get out and do something with my love!

1. Weekend with my College Loves

What a memorable weekend to spend with 2 of the college boys. You may remember a few months ago we went to the IU/Purdue football game at Purdue. Well, now it was time to turn the tables and go to the IU Purdue basketball game at IU. What made it most memorable of all, is that Coach Bobby Knight returned to Indiana University’s Assembly Hall for the first time since the year 2000, when he was fired. He was one of the most loved and hated coaches in the history of basketball and it was truly something to witness. There were so many tears and emotions running high in Assembly Hall that day. He is not well, and his memory is faded but what a moment for him and all IU fans. Then, despite the colds Mr. Nine and I had, we got to enjoy a fun evening with the boys at a great restaurant called Social Cantina where we got complementary queso since one of our son’s friends works there. Yum! We then headed to Brothers bar another college bar called Crazy Horse. The boys continued the night while Mr. Nine and I took cough medicine and hit the hay.

2. Bear Hugs...Cutest Treat Bag Printable

Of course, I took my sweet boys some Valentines Bags and included in it were these treat bags I made with these free Printable's. So easy and so sweet. You just get Teddy grahams and red gummy bears and put a few in the bag. I also added some wrapped chocolate bears I found at TJ Maxx. The cutest little treat idea. Are use Wilton 4 x 6 Treat Bags and they worked perfectly with the printable topper.

I heard someone say they were glad polka dots were back, but I never knew they were gone. I have always loved polka dots and this dress is so stinking adorable! The fabric feels so good and I didn’t mean to but it kind of accidentally turned into a re-creation of mini Minnie Mouse, LOL

Talk about some happy mail to brighten my yucky week. My dear friend Sierra from Beautifully Candid is such a precious soul. Her three little guys mirror mine, just many years younger. I see so much of our family in them and I just love the uplifting sweetness she brings. This girl truly knows the true meaning of family and I love how her and her husbands creative hearts create so many special memories for their guys. FRIDAY FAVORITES...BEACH EDITION

Whoop Whoop, Happy Friday!!! June is going by way to fast!! Unfortunately, it's pouring down rain today. My mom and I were going to go to the beach but instead I'll be home today pricing garage sale stuff for our pre-moving sale next month. This weekend I hope to stop and take it in a little slower with a brunch wedding, day date afternoon with Mr. Nine and the boys all finishing up some landscaping updates on Sunday to get the house ready to sell later this summer. No worries, more beach days are within reach!! Let's get to some favorites and fun!

1. First College Apartment
So, the reason I was off blog land the end of last week was our oldest did a transfer orientation to IU and we went and saw his first college apartment he will be moving into in the Fall. He changed majors to Intelligent Systems Engineering and the IU campus has so much more to offer. Plus, he can walk to the stadium. Tailgate parties at his place, lol

2. Our Niece and her BF
I'm going to brag on our beautiful niece and her sweet boyfriend. They just graduated from Cardinal Ritter in Indianapolis and this Fall, she will be attending Xavier University. He will attend Easter Illinois on a baseball scholarship. Just this past weekend, Blake and his team won state! Our niece was unable to be there and had to listen to the game because she is on a field experience doing lots of fun stuff including......

....Hiking in Colorado!!! Love this girl!
