What a lovely getaway with my favorite birthday gal! If you follow me on Instagram, you know that my precious mama and I were in Turks and Caicos last week on a mother-daughter trip to celebrate her 75th Birthday!
Here is our Caribbean Trip recap in case you ever want to go Turks & Caicos, because trust me, you do! I’m hoping to get Mr. Nine there someday!
After some research we decided on The Palms on Grace Bay beach. This beach has been voted one of the most gorgeous in the world and it is.
We were greeted by the most wonderful staff and that our butler for our stay, the sweet Eddy!
Our suite was absolutely amazing, 1400 sq ft of gorgeousness and all the amenities that you could ever need.
They even had cookies and cake waiting for mom. How cute is she out on our veranda overlooking the ocean!
We went down by the pool got some rum punch checked out the beauty of our surroundings.
We had dinner at the restaurant right there at the resort called Parallel 23. It was just gorgeous. And we wore our favorite outfits of the week.
More on all the outfits Wednesday. Farm Rio dress HERE
Eddy had us a prime spot on the beach the following day. He would always send us phots of where our prime Spots were saved on the beach or by the pool. The cooler was always filed too.
First, we had fabulous coffee on the veranda.
Then, we filled up on a nice protein filled brunch. The nice thing about the Palms is that it offers a great complimentary breakfast.
My favorite thing about it was the juice machine where we had fresh squeezed orange juice every morning.
The beach was perfect in every way. Photos do not do the turquoise waters justice! I’ve seen beautiful turquoise Waters off other Caribbean islands but this Has to be one of the most gorgeous!
As we were getting ready to head out, we were taking photographs and a lady came over and asked if she could take ours. Afterwards she told me that recognized me as she reads my Blog and used to live in my area years ago. I promised her I wouldn’t show her photo as she is not a blogger but shout out to sweet Kristi from Mississippi. You and your husband made our night.
That night we had dinner at a local fish place called Mr. Grouper! It came highly recommended with some visitors saying that they go back a second time it’s so good and isn’t that the truth!
I swear it was the best grouper I had ever had!
And what made this night really special was our beautiful waitresses brought mom a piece of mango cheesecake with the biggest fire cracker candle on it and sing Stevie Wonder‘s happy birthday to ya!
And funny side note, that evening was Halloween and guess what appeared beside our dinner table, a black cat!
We also were blessed with a driver for our visit that Eddy arranged, Dale Taylor was a sweetheart and on the ride home that night he also sang Happy Birthday to mom. He took us anywhere we needed to go and with a quick call he was back to pick us up within five minutes.
The next day was pool day. We saw a few children but this was not really a resort for children, and this is definitely not the prime busy time of the year so it was perfect if you don’t want things to be crowded but mom and I would have to admit we’d like a little more people for prime people watching, lol.
AND a swim up Bar!!
The foliage is really pretty especially all the Bougainvillea which happen to be my mom‘s favorite!
Time for Dinner!

Also highly recommend by people there was the Coco Bistro. It was set in lush gardens, but we were joking because the staff there was actually over attentive. We must’ve been asked a dozen times by three different managers and numerous wait staff if everything was OK and even the boys assisting the waiters kept asking us if we were ready for that next bottle of Stillwater, lol. Cracked us Up!
Next Day we had a 1 minute downpour that resulted in this amazing sight from our balcony! You could see both ends of the rainbow!
We shopped and beached it some more then headed for a magical dinner at Grace Bay Club's Infiniti. Everything from the ambiance right n the beach t the incredible food and spectacular service was divine! Nt only did they sing Happy Birthday to mom but the singer sang "Isn't She Lovely."
Incredible Burrata Salad, Miso Cod and freshest Sushi EVER!!
Last Morning Cheers! And Reading Kelly Ripa, which she shared in her stories.
So happy my mama and I can travel again since the darn pandemic. You may recall our April trip to Charleston.
75 is just a number because she doesn’t act, look, or feel it but as we age, each moment with her becomes more precious! November is the month of Thanksgiving so how fitting is it that her birthday is in November too…thankful and grateful is what I am that she’s my mama.
Cannot wait till our next adventure.
xoxo
