EASY A and TBB FASHION FILES LINK-UP

In case you never saw the movie Easy A, it's really good and in case you don't remember how popular Adidas was in the 80s, well it's back! The teens love it so it must be good! Thanks for joining and myself The Blended Blog gals for our weekly link-up. This month our theme is Fashion Files...re-creates and where we get fashion inspirations. This outfit came from a Pinterest college. Throwbacks to the beloved 80's are always my thing!!

As you know I'm all crazy for retro tennis shoes and have 3 Adidas pair. My favorite are these called superstars....so comfy!! I decided to be a lil old school today and feature a track jacket with a big "A"! It can stand for Adidas or, in my case, it can stand for Andrea! Right on!!

I knew I wanted one of the lil eyelash and lip print tees to go under it. And I was tickled "pink" to find triple ball drop earring in a bright pink from the Bauble Bar Sugar Fix line at Target. My dear friend, Kellyann, got me the white ones and I can't wait to wear those too. Such a bargain compared to over $48 for the Bauble Bar Crispin drop balls, The ones from Target are only $12.99 and virtually the same!

BROWN SUGAR PEACH CRUMB CAKE

Something about brown sugar and peaches just goes hand-in-hand! That golden sweetness mixed with a juicy peach, and I'm in heaven! Peaches are truly one of my favorite fruits so I had it in my mind that I wanted to create something yummy with peaches to have with coffee or tea or just by itself. My favorite way to have a peach besides just by itself, is either in yogurt with a little bit of granola or a fresh peach crisp! I've shared my special Harvest Peach Crisp Recipe on the blog before but I knew this peach recipe had to have some kind a crumb topping, so the Brown Sugar & Peach Crumb Cake came to mind.
Yum

I was so excited to make this and wanted to take some to one of our sons when we went to pick up some of his things from college that I didn't have time for the peaches to ripen so I opened a few cans and with the moist cake, brown sugar crumble and vanilla glaze, it was spectacular! I don't like a heavy cake or a lot of cake in fact, so this was just the right amount in conjunction with the crumble and fruit. Crumble Cakes, where have you been all my life?

What you'll need

BROWN SUGAR & PEACH CRUMB CAKE
INGREDIENTS
For The Crumbs
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

Mix in another 1/3 of the flour mixture and mix just until combined, then remaining 1/2 of the buttermilk mixture (scrape any excess from liquid measuring cup) and mix just until combined. Finish by mixing in last 1/3 of the flour mixture and mix until nearly combined, then remove bowl and scrape bowl and fold batter just to combined. Spray a 9-inch springform pan with non-stick cooking spray and pour batter into pan. Top evenly with peaches then evenly sprinkle crumb mixture into very small crumbles over peaches. MAY FLOWERS & SPRING TIME FUN BLOG HOP

HELLO MAY! WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE

Welcome to May friends, the month where everything is green, the promise of summer is upon us and flowers are planted; turning my deck and porch into a greenhouse of color. I LOVE planting flowers so I was super excited to join my fellow Blended Blog sisters for  a Spring Time themed blog hop and LINK-UP. You may be headed over here from Sarah at Foxy's Domestic Side and make sure you head over to
Lisa's Post at Daily Style Finds next for Spring Pretty Florals.
Today's topic is May Flowers & Pretty Things.

Perfect timing as just Friday my mom and I went on our annual outing to numerous greenhouses to pick out our posies.
The picture below is how my deck looks every summer. Supertunia Vista's in Bubblegum pink are my favorite annual flower ever!!

Let's get to the outfit...This darling top is from the Love and Liberty collection at Target. It's only in stores right now but so many cute red, white and blue pieces for Summer and the summer holidays. Plus, Friday called for rain and rain and more rain so I was ready for this April showers with my favorite Hunter's. Now if the rain will just make all my May flowers sprout amazingly!!
Mr. Nine's Ford for hauling all them posies!!
I added my fun new cuff and a hair wrap, a red cross body and since it was chilly, a white lightweight hoodie jacket from Old Navy.

Look how cute Mom looks in her slip ons, red and black utility jacket.

This is Patrick, he is a "helper" at one of the greenhouses we go to. lol

We have such a hard time choosing every year and while we tend towards the same ones that do who well for us, we like to mx it up a bit every year too. Just look at all the choices

Indiana greenhouses get the beautiful hibiscus bushes from Florida, These all had sold signs on them already darn it.

Loading up the truck. I went home and planted 15 containers. Nothing like digging in the dirt! I'll be back with an update when they start to grow and perhaps some green thumb secrets I've learned from my mama over the years.
