FRIDAY FAVORITES JUST JUNE

Just sweet June! Summer seems to have officially arrived and it’s been a great week. I am dealing with a pinched nerve and while I’m one that wants immediate results in healing, I know it’s going to take a little bit to heal. I’m doing what I can to manage. And it's hair color day today so yay! And I definitely have some Friday favorites for you!

Chicago Getaway

You may remember, Mr. Nine and I shared a Chicago getaway to celebrate our anniversary. What a great time we had. Everything from walking the Riverwalk to shopping to sushi to warm cookies to a tasting menu and at a Michelin restaurant and walking along Lake Michigan. It was a nice getaway!

I don't indulge often in pancakes, these cinnamon roll ones at Wildberry were AHHMAZING!!

So were the cookies at Levain in the West Loop. but per Mr. Nine, still not as good as mine, lol.

Nature

Roses

I always have some nature to share. This week my roses started blooming! There’s nine of them which is perfect and they usually bloom about three times during the summer. This first bloom has been spectacular and smells so good. Waiting on my tea rose from Kathrine to bloom on the middle right, it's filled with buds too.

I also got a beautiful picture of the sunrise through the trees on a morning walk.

Oh what a JOY! It’s truly a delight and honor to spend time with these sweet babes! 

We had so much fun at our house a couple days this week!

Remember these $6 Kids Chairs? But yet they sit together on one, lol!

A whole playroom yet they want to play in the closet and 

of course sit in picnic baskets, lol!

FRIDAY FAVORITES CONCERT EDITION

Hi friends! I’m actually writing this on Tuesday as I wasn’t sure what the rest of the week would hold for me for my procedure Wednesday but by Tuesday I already had tons of favorites so here we go! Linking up for WUW too since this is life lately. And I didn’t get a lot of pictures, but Mom and I went over to play with the twins on Tuesday and had the best time! I did get one of Great Grandma Giga reading to them! So sweet! 

Brett Young

Dreams come true, lol! And the blurry picture from 2017 I told you about last Friday, was more than made up for with these! He is such a tall drink of water! So dreamy, and so sweet! We had a precious little conversation that I will treasure, and his performance was amazing! Sometimes, you meet celebs you love and your idea of them is ruined but Brett is the real country boy deal! 

I let Mr. Nine get in a picture or two too, lol

His opening act, Kylie Morgan Was just darling, and she had a female drummer which we loved! Great night!

Make-Up and Hair

My sweet friend Maggie did my hair for me for the concert, but I did not get my make up done. The weather was too bad to make the trip, but she did practice earlier in the week, and I think I found my new makeup artist for special events! Ashley Urban is incredible!

Posty Oreos

I am a huge fan of Post Malone, and I swear there is nothing he cannot do. A genius! Even his Oreos are the best I’ve ever tasted and I’m not a huge fan of Oreos! It’s a salted caramel and half of the cookie is shortbread, so delicious but I’m going to let Mr. Nine eat the rest and get them out of my sight, lol. Get some HERE! ON sale too!

This DRESS arrived on Monday and I absolutely love it, the quality is great, but I accidentally ordered the wrong size so I’ve sent it back and I’m anticipating my correct size. I think it’s going to be a keeper!

Blast From Last

One of the boys and his gal and Mr. Nine and I got to go golfing in up northern Michigan on our vacation last summer. Mr. Nine loves golf so much. Happy to get out on the greens with him in my Lily Pulitzer golf attire, lol. He’s ready for golf to begin and reminded me that last year he and the boys went out the first part of March! Hopefully, won’t be long.

Have a wonderful weekend! If I feel up to it, I’m going to hobble with my mama to see the CHER show on Saturday! My mom wants to see Cher in concert so bad but she’s not on tour (yet) so we’re going to see the Broadway musical instead, lol.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & THE CUTEST SNOW GLOBE COOKIES

Happy last Friday before Christmas. How is it 5 more sleeps? Ahh how I love Christmas, but I think even more I just love the entire season! The lead up, the build up, the festive fun and I get so sad when it’s over.

 

But the fat lady hasn't it sung yet lol and by fat lady, I mean ME eating all the Christmas treats, lol! Let’s enjoy these last few days my friends! And this mama is over the moon because I get every single member of my family here on Christmas Day and I am going to relish every second! It’s going to be extra fun with the twins this year and they sure do love wrapping paper, lol!

So let’s talk about the Snow Globe Cookies! I was so excited to make these and they are cute, but they just didn’t turn out as perfectly or as easily as I had hoped, lol but I’m still going to share the ingredients needed and how to make them. I was going to do a dedicated post on them but I didn't feel they were 'aesthetically perfect' enough so I'll just throw em' here as a Friday Fav.

They were a hit with everyone I gave them to though. 

Here is what you'll need. 

Simply dip the Oreo's in melted white candy melts, transfer to wax paper then place a candy in center and sprinkle with sparkling sugar. Let harden and attach to upside down Reese's miniature with a little frosting, Store in airtight continuer up to 2 weeks. 

And this year, I did a dozen Cookie/Candy trays. I made way more cookies than what I thought I would (9 varieties), but I spread it out by making a few batches every weekend leading up that could be frozen. And I made 6 batches of my Sweepstakes Peanut Butter Fudge.

Love spreading cheer by delivering them.

I keep my Family private for the most part now but here are the Twins...because they're the 

BEST part of my heart.....and oh the JOY they bring so many.

FRIDAY FAVORITES FUN FEBRUARY

It’s definitely a fun Friday because I’m currently packing and getting my spray tan on the jet out again tomorrow. Check my Instagram stories for where.

1. Bowling

Mr. Nine and I had not been bowling in two years! We forgot how fun it was. Years ago I was on a league for one season. I’m really not very good, but I surprised myself especially with the first game. And boy did Mr. Nine ever surprise himself by bowling his best game ever and beating everyone, lol.

2. Twins

Oh, these beautiful girls! Look at these little Denim Jackets that my mom got them when they were born. Absolute angels and pure joy, can you believe they will be five months old next Wednesday?

3. Shamrock Front Porch

No need to do an entire post on the shamrock front porch this year for St. Patrick’s Day. I’ve scaled back my holiday, decorating back a little bit, except for Christmas, lol. But I like how simple it is and how the shammy placement turned out.

Besides, my, I think these two pieces are my favorite spanks of all time! Just look at the bone color of those twill crop pants, I’m taking those on my trip along with this. When I shared these two pieces on Instagram, several of you told me, you bought them right away. So much to Love!
