It was a very sweet summer week! Temps are finally cooling down for the weekend and Even my Dental Check-Up went smoothly! As we swing into August, my hope is that you’re savoring all Summer still has to offer.

1. Kayaking Day

Instead of doing a whole post on our summer vacation, I’m adding in bits and pieces to Friday favorites! Today I share a kayaking day on the trip! Thank goodness that by Friday, the rain had finally broke after 2 days and we were super excited to do one of our favorite kayaking adventures. Northern Michigan is absolutely abundant and fabulous Lakes! Lower Herring Lakes is one of our favorite because what appears as a lake, soon turns into a little pine tree filled inlet that dumped out in the beautiful lake Michigan! The search for Petoskey stones and walking along the beach is so fun! It’s in chanting and there’s hardly ever anybody there! The truck back was pushing against waves and wind, and it was quite the work out but well worth it!

2. Flower Fields and Sweet Walks

I just love fun little adventures. Mom and I went to a local farm where it's you cut flowers! They had sunflowers; just look at the varieties, zinnias and cosmos. The sweet owner was kind enough to take this picture of mom and I but look at my silly hat, LOL! And most of the time I walk in my neighborhood, so it was nice to go back to moms and go for a walk in her neighborhood as well!

One of our local cities is also really revitalizing its area and I especially love the Riverwalk. My dear friend Shelby and I had a coffee date and great walk and talk. And today I am going on another sweet walk with a friend! Walking with someone else just makes the time go so much faster!

On Wednesday, I shared with you some fabulous outfits from White House Black market. Some of you might not know that they also have amazing swimwear and coverups! The fit is so fabulous of all these items and will make you feel confident. I got a simple black tankini top in a halter style which is always flattering and the Cover-Up with the sweet black tassels, tropical print complete with a leopard on it is so pretty. Coral Creme Drop Phlox

These perennials are some of my favorites for two reasons, the color and the smell, it’s absolutely delightful!

Just look how my bubble gum petunias are cascading along the stairs.

The moonflowers finally bloomed. They only bloom once and it’s in the evening and at night, they’re part of the morning glory family

Whether you are at the beach, in a field of fresh flowers, in front of your house or at a wedding or bridal shower, White House Black Market always has you covered in style for every season! I thought all these styes were so sweet and feminine.

When I put on this darling pink peplum top and cute Jean Shorts and grabbed my great new Adorable Tote, all from WHBM, I had no idea that it would end up matching some sunflowers in a farm cut flowers field we went to. Don’t worry, I saved the beautiful white espadrilles from white house black market just for pictures. It was a little muddy in the field thank goodness I took shoes, but I didn’t care I’ve got dirty. I’m going to keep these beloved white espadrilles pristine. Are the laser cut outs just gorgeous!

You know I’m a sucker for cute sleeves and these three-quarter length sleeves on this beautiful black and white striped Wrap Top are just the perfect puff! White House Black Market does details so sweetly! And these Jeans are everything! Telling you what, of every cut of jeans, I think a flare Jean is the most flattering. And it doesn’t have to be a big flare, just a simple little flare out is perfect. These dark wash jeans happen to have a belt as well which is so darn cute! And obviously I love laser cut out on any shoes! They are so back in style and so beautifully crafted. These black and white pumps had me swooning!

This lovely in lavender look had me wanting to get photos in the lavender fields! But their darn open hours are during the heat of the day and not a good time for photos, so I opted for in front of my bubble gum petunias instead, LOL! I am swooning over this jacket! It is the most beautiful shade. The dress and the shoes are also from White House Black Market! This is the sweetest little dress; it’s lined it flows so nicely and I love the tassel waist ties. And let’s talk about these shoes! They may be my most favorite pair ever from WHBM!

Finally, we were blessed with a beautiful week of weather! Enjoyed a couple great day trips, reading outside, pool time and lots of long walks! While the weather doesn’t look as great this weekend and super HOT, you know we always make the most of it! Oh and Mr. Nine and I scheduled his and her colonoscopies for September, how romantic, lol. Cheers to your Friday!

1. Day in Ludington

Every time on our summer vacation, we pick a town close by to spend the day in. This time instead of going north we went an hour and a half South to Ludington. We’ve heard so many good things about this town but had only ever driven through. And while it was lovely, what we thought was going to be a quaint beach town day turned into one of the hikes of our lives! I logged like 24,000 steps that day, but it was so worth it, especially when we saw one of the most beautiful lighthouse we had ever seen.

The day started off with a Beach lighthouse track a giant pink chair and a corndog! I was craving a corndog and I swear this beach had the best concession stand ever!

We were so excited to see the Ludington State Park is there is so much to do there, and we cannot wait to bring the kids back someday. We thought it was just a walk out on appear to the lighthouse but no, it’s a hike! The path was sandy and fairly easy but thank goodness I had less dressy clothes to change into and my tennis shoes along!

We saw rain was coming in, but we were able to sit outside at the popular Jamesport Brewery for a most delightful meal! I had a hot bacon spinach salad and fabulous pineapple martini! We drove back tired in the pouring rain but thankful for a fun day trip!

2. Day in South Haven

Happy to get in a day trip with mom as week this well. We went up to South Haven, Michigan where Mr. Nine and I went in May. It’s such a great beach town.

We did lots of our favorite things, which was to shop the cute town shops, grab a gourmet hotdog from the new hotdog stand called Chomps, which was phenomenal. We also got ice cream from Kilwins, a fresh cookie, walked it off with a long walk to the beach and finished the day relaxing watching the boats go in and out of Lake Michigan. Great Day and perfect weather.

Later in the week

We also visited with our son’s girlfriend as my mom had not seen their house yet. She happened to be babysitting two of the most precious little girlies so we got a dose of future grandma/great grandma, LOL.

4. Cherry Sweater

I guess the Sweater is really the only reason why I called this Friday favorites cherry edition but hey, I do love cherries! (Sweater on Sale for like $22)

You knew I would have to wear a cherry sweater when I went to the cherry hut! I thought we might also make it up to the cherry festival in Traverse City but that never happened, but I sure was grateful for these photos plus the sweater happens to be one that you guys have purchased the most and one of my favorites!
