PANTONE'S MOCHA MOUSSE AND THE BLONDE SQUAD

What a special post we have today! That is because not only does it involve fashion, but it involves a blog hop with 4 of my closest friends, fellow bloggers, otherwise known as The Blonde Squad ! We are styling the beautiful 2025 Pantone color of the year: Mocha Mousse.

Mocha Mousse, a super warm, rich brown color that feels neutral, comforting and relaxing.

Unlike the rich, deep browns of early autumn, Pantone is forecasting a teddy bear-esque '70s shade to take center stage.

Mocha Mousse isn’t meaty but rather a plant-based hue, one that mainly calls to mind sweet rather than savory. It’s a nutty brown, the color of flaky almond pastries and almost the exact match for a cup of Swiss Miss.

I’m so excited to be styling several mocha mousse hued pieces. I’ve included dressy, with a satin slip dress, some fabulous athleisure and a cute, casual outfit with a sleeveless, versatile sweater vest.

This satin slip dress is an elevated Take on a regular slip dress. The twisted side and braided strap add such a fun element. Pair with a blazer and you are all set! I kept it simple with some neutral heels.

WHAT I WORE IN CHICAGO

This was a quick thrown together post as I only got pictures of three of my 6 outfits during our latest trip to Chicago for our anniversary with Stella Mae.

This first outfit is what festive Memorial Day, summer, and fourth of July dreams are made of with This TOP!!! The trim on the ruffles is a red and white gingham, and the top itself is a darling tiny, blue, and white stripe! It is cotton and oh so comfortable and looks great with white jeans!

Favorite Coffee

If you are local, you do not want to miss one of my favorite holiday open houses at the Refinery Coffee. My friend Regina is the owner, and she is the best coffee roaster in all the land! At this open house (Dec 2 from 9am-2pm), she not only allows you to use your punch card but offers two dollars off every pound of coffee. I’ve already put my order in. Loved taking Stella in the other day, of course in her red sweatshirt! I am also a big fan of Peet's Coffee and their medium roast.

FRIDAY FAVORITES...I'M JUST GETTING STARTED HOLIDAYS

I really do not like that November is just going so fast. I mean I’m just getting started with the holidays! I love it so much! The good news is I am all done decorating; the bad news is boy, I need to get my shopping on, lol. Reminder to look at all my gift guides I am putting out there. LOL. Have you even started shopping yet?

1. Baltimore

It was the first time to Baltimore and Mr. Nine and I really did not know what to think. The kids do not love it out there but they are assimilating. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised with how charming it was. Although it rained all day Friday and it’s a 9 Hour Drive, Saturday we got the perfect football day to watch our beloved Notre Dame which are in our own backyard here at home, played in the Baltimore ravens stadium I guess movie. My daddy was an eight year Navy man so this was such a fun game.

We went sightseeing as much as we could on Friday and we fell in love with all the little corner bars and taverns. Catching up with the kids was the best part.

Game Day was simply the best! Notre Dame barely squeaked by. that night after dining alfresco because the weather was so good, we went back and played Uno, our son’s girlfriend made a beautiful charcuterie and we watched a movie together. Truly sad to depart early the next morning for the drive home but happy to see them next week. Yay!

2. Gift Ideas

Coming in strong friends and you are loving them. Everyone I’ve talked to said that mine a not over the top in your face and they appreciate the inspiration.
