FRIDAY FAVORITES....OCTOBER I LOVE YOU

Happy Friday!! Mother Nature is putting waaay too much Bailey’s in her PSL’s because how can it go from High 80’s the beginning of the week to a HIGH of 50 today? BUY I love it and I LOVE October!! A low of 35…looks like a Winter Coat at the last Regular season football game. We'll bundle up, drink Hot chocolate and eat mom's Caramel Corn. Spent all of last night watching Mr. Nine run the chainsaw and I took it all to the burn pile..a tree fell in our woods on Tuesday night, crazy and scary! Hoping to see A Star is Born this weekend. Has anyone seen it? Love me some Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga and that song Shallow is on repeat!!

1. Senior Night

Senior Night could not have been on a better date! I was home the day before from Nashville, The boys were both able to come home from college then and the night was the perfect temps…low 60’s and after a rainy dreary day..none in sight! Didn’t even mater that they lost as our #9 hit em’ hard and caught a punt return.

2. ~~Fall Find~~ PUMPKIN PATCH!!

Sorry doing a favorite Fall Place instead. Pumpkin patches bring me joy. Last Friday, I mentioned the yummy pumpkin ice cream I had in Tennessee. Well my mom loves it too and mentioned going to get some at Fashion Farm, a pumpkin patch that’s been around since 1960. We also did a photo shoot for an outfit for next Wednesday's theme. But that included a Flannel so after the shoot, changing was a must as it was 85 degrees. It’s not your average pumpkin patch, it includes the pumpkin fantasy land where they display pumpkins decorated like historical figures, singers, planets, cartoon characters, etc. with sweet pumpkin signs of wisdom spread throughout. My favorite displays were the presidential and Dolly Parton.

Mini Salted Caramel Shortbread Cookies

You know I love to bake and prefer a homemade cookie, but shortbread, well I usually don’t bake shortbread cookies but they are ones I’ll buy if utterly delicious and these new mini caramel shortbread ones are heavenly. They were on sale this week so I went back and bought two more boxes.

FRIDAY FAVORITES...VARSITY EDITION

Happy Friday sweet friends! This Varsity theme is in eager anticipation that our football player gets cleared by the Dr. mid-morning today and can play next Friday. His therapy has gone great so he, we and the team are hopeful. Well, the college boys survived the first week of class. I kept busy, went to the Beach yesterday and Mr. Nine and I are headed out this weekend to a Cubs game and some city fun to pick up my spirits. Nothing a ballpark hotdog and rarely drank cold brewski (like once a year) can’t cure, lol.

Nadine from Life By Nadine Lynn
Nadine from was one of the first people I followed when I started my blog and she quickly became a favorite. With her quick wit, amazing writing ability, just the right amounts of sass and sweetness, I knew this girl would be a friend from the great Bama state! She is just so easy to relate to and real. You want to lift her up if she struggles, rejoice with her when she soars and definitely dine with her; my goodness, she posts the best food pictures and recipes too. Her hubby adores her, is hilarious and they were blessed almost 2 years ago now with little Zoe, the sweetest baby girl. In fact, she was born on our oldest son’s birthday. Her post "If you knew me in High School" will give you a glimpse into what a fun, sweet and super smart girl she was. 34 things in her 34th year leads you to know this precious lady even more. Recently turning 35, I assured Nadine her best years are yet to come, If you head over to TBB today, you'll learn about a very special post Nadine wrote on a blogger's guest series. Oh and her book reviews are spot on, She LOVES to read and finds great books you'll love too. Just love her to pieces and you will too!

2. Mad for Buffalo Plaid
It was after seeing these front mat combos on Pinterest and getting 2 of these pumpkins from Hobby Lobby that I suddenly was obsessed with black and white buffalo plaid. It will go beautiful with our house colors and verging into the all-white, green, gray pumpkin realm for Fall. Buying these Pillow Covers from Amazon because the price and quality are amazing.

Aerie Admission: well 2; never bought from them before and always wondered why they didn’t just throw the cozy jammies items and undies in the mother store, American Eagle? Well, I saw this Camo Sweatshirt, Read the reviews and saw the great price and was like yeah, click purchase from Aerie, here I go. IT's so soft!!! With Bralette love going on and BOGO, I grabbed a couple perfect for Fall. Got them in the mail this week and LOVE. Bralettes are not usually hooked or adjustable and these are both!! Sooo comfy!

Yeah, walking on clouds sounds good to me and that is exactly what these awesome Adidas tennis shoes feel like. I’m wearing them in the first week’s attire photo and got on sale at Kohl's. Quickest tennis shoe purchase ever! I love the ice purple color...close to a blush of sorts and so pretty!

FRIDAY FAVORITES LINK-UP.....MOVING IN

It’s just the Friday Favorites Link-Up today as are doing the dreaded second move in today at IU. This one is moving into a brand new apartment with amenities up the ying yang…like with a pool, hot tub, indoor basketball quart, jumbotron, pickle ball court and the list goes on. Yeah, looking pretty promising BUT I wrote this last night and enroute they emailed that all move in times got pushed back because it’s NOT DONE YET! Could’ve saved on the hotel so now we sit with packed vehicles, yucky rain and play the waiting game. Not real happy right now. And as you know, for this mom, the Kleenex box is under the seat because I forget it Tuesday and had to use a paper towel, lol! I did want to share the robe love. The boys LOVE their cozy robes. While the one on the right is practical and wears his around like Hugh Hefner, the one on the left thought a little “CaCaw CaCaw” would be fun in the frat house.

Man I’m gonna miss em’!

FRIDAY FAVORITES...SUMMER VIBES EDITION

Happy Friday! I’m moving slow. Sweet concert last night with Mr. Nine to see my tall drink of country but in a different time zone and a LATE night. I may or may not be sleeping So I’ll get right to telling you to make it a GREAT DAY and cheers to these Summer Favorites.

1. BRETT YOUNG CONCERT

Next to Mr. Nine, my sons and Brady Quinn, I believe Brett Young is the most handsome guy on the planet. Plus, this guy can sing making us grateful his baseball career got cut short by injury. I always tend to grab a new artist to the country scene and adore them and their music. Remember my Cole Swindell concert and Retweet? Yeah, I still l love him, but Brett has taken a notch above and I was soooo excited to see him in concert last night! I briefly meet him in Vegas last year and this guy is tall and super sweet! His fiancé shares my maiden name so maybe we’ll be distantly related by marriage, lol!

While the concert was fun, it was at a Fair we’re not familiar with and didn’t realize we’d be standing for 4 hours in a “country” standing only pit with 8000 cowboy boot crop top wearing teenagers. And I wanted to smack the high held cell phones outta their hands. #watchtheconcert #exhaustedmiddleagedcountryfans

This girl! Sweet Sarah Shaneyfelt is a southern Alabama soul who has my heart. We both love Jesus, baking, decorating, reading, exercising, family and Christmas. Not only is she my friend, but she and her husband Dustin are on a journey that I just had to highlight. Sarah has shared their Struggle with Infertility and joy filled their hearts and ours when we read Their Path to Adoption! I am over the moon for them because these two were meant to be parents. Sarah’s love of Christmas is so precious and can you imagine the joy on their future child’s face on Christmas morn? She shared a beautiful Christmas Home Tour.
