After I took the Christmas decorations
down, the house just looked so drab and after all the inspirational mantle
decorations I saw on Pinterest, I decided to go back to my old ways of
decorating a little more with the various holidays. When the kids were younger
I seem to do more of the seasonal Decor but kind of got away from that for
holidays besides Christmas and Fall decorating. I was never one that decorated
for Valentines much but I had gotten this adorable burlap banner for 90% off at
Pier One last year. It was literally only two dollars so I worked around that. When seasonal decor goes on sale at Pier One, it goes 50 % off, then 75% then finally 90% fairly quickly. They still have great stuff left even at 90% off.
Mr. Nine and I feel that every day is
Valentine's Day and there should never be one single day to show more love than
another. We don't go all out by any means for Valentine's Day but may have a small
dinner out, you know us, it'll be one of those early bird sushi specials or A
brewery in the mid afternoon.
I did do a couple posts about this time
last year relating to the idea of love if you want to check them out.

HAPPY MONDAY LOVES!!
Love your Valentine's decor. I enjoy decorating for Valentine's, Easter, and then Summer, as well as Fall and Christmas. I have to admit last year I didn't feel as motivated to pull it all out, maybe because the kids are getting older. But this year I'm going to be back on my game! You've inspired me. ;) And I seriously need to go to Pier One. We have one right by the house, and I never go!
ReplyDeleteI love your decorations! I love decorating for Christmas, fall, the 4th, but I want to decorate for other holidays!!
ReplyDeleteSarah at MeetTheShaneyfelts
I'm so bad about decorating for other holidays but I do have a few pink candles out and some stuff in the kitchen - other than that I don't do anything! Love the banner you scored and for the amazing price too! xo, Biana - BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteLove is in the air :) Love love all your decorations :) Happy Monday Andrea.
ReplyDeleteI love all your Valentine's Day decor, Andrea! And that white heart pillow looks so cute! (Love the leopard pillows too, of course!) I am so bad, once I took down all the Christmas stuff, I put all my spring decor out in our family room! I am over the up and down temperatures of winter and ready for spring haha! Happy Monday!

So much love and hearts decorated throughout your home. I especially love the mantle decor and $2 is a huge score for that adorable banner!
ReplyDeleteThat banner is super cute, love that you got it for such a good deal! I didn't even look at Valentine's decor while I was a Home Goods this weekend and now I want to go to Hobby Lobby!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I love your mantel!! That banner is so pretty! And for $2! major score! That mini wagon is adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteI "LOVE" it! I too don't decorate much anymore for the smaller holidays now that the girls are grown, but you are making me rethink it.
ReplyDeleteI love the decor! I do not decorate for Valentines Day but this is so cute that I might have to hit up the clearance and make it a thing next year! :) I love the garland and the "xoxoxo" dice. How cute. It all looks great!
ReplyDeleteI want to live at your house for all of the holidays! You always have the best decor, and really make your home feel "homey"..if that makes any sense! Basically, so warm and inviting that anyone would want to visit :) Hope you have a great week, my gorgeous friend! XO

How cute is this! I am so ready for our new home to be finished so I can pull out the holiday decor again. So so precious.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely be checking out Pier 1 after Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteI don't really decorate for it, but 90% off, I can definitely start. LOL! I usually just do a wreath or something cute on the door.

ReplyDeleteAll of your Valentine's Day Decor is so cute! I really don't have any Valentine's Day decor, but I always remember my mom decorating for it. I loved all of the pink and red everywhere!

ReplyDeleteI will have to check our Pier One for some Valentines Day goodies- I got most of mine at Target. I love your decor- it's so cute and festive! Hope your Monday is off to a great start lovely!
ReplyDeleteSeriously adorable. You make me want to decorate for Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteSo fun~ And what a great tip about Pier One Sales! They have such great seasonal decor in there but I often forget to check their sales! Thanks for the reminder! :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteThe house does always look so empty after Christmas decorations are gone. God idea to put up some Valentine's decor. I never decorate much for other holidays though I don't know why.

Love that banner - what a STEAL! I always decorate for Valentine's Day because it helps me get over the after Christmas blahs!
ReplyDeleteLove them all, so festive and cute! I decorate for other holidays but v day gets the shaft around here because of mardi gras. I feel the same way as you to cuties, valentine's day should be every day!

SO CUTE! Love all your decorations! I don't decorate much for holidays other than Christmas, but maybe once we have kiddos I will. Love all of yours!
ReplyDeleteJust stopped by from Laura Horton's blog. Always fun to meet another fun blogger. I do decorate some for Valentine's Day. Its really one of my favorite days. Blessings for the week ahead!
ReplyDeleteLove all your VDay decor! And what a find! $2 for an oh-so cute banner! Come do my house next please!
ReplyDeleteGetting ready to pull out our Valentine's things. Enjoyed seeing yours.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!
Everything is so cute! I don't usually decorate for all of the little holidays either, but I did pick up a few little things this year. I thought Jax would enjoy making it a bit more festive!
ReplyDeleteYour Valentine decorations make me so happy. I love everything!
ReplyDeleteNobody decorates like you!
ReplyDeleteI don't decorate for V-day, but now I kind of want to. What's the etiquette for it? When do you put your decor up and how soon after do you take it down? Show young grasshopper the way!
Love, love, love!
OH my goodness, you make me want to RUN to Hobby Lobby! hehe...so darn cute! I have bought some stuff, but haven't actually done any decorating yet...Valentine's day will be here before we know it...better get on it!
ReplyDeleteI don't typically decorate for Valentine's Day but I love the holiday! Hmm, maybe I should find something to decorate with this year!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to give you my address, please come and help me and my place! Haha. LOVE your mantle!!! #HappyNowLinkUp
ReplyDeleteAndrea, you are just too adorable! I love that you decorated your house with valentine's decorations because it was too bare after Christmas!!

My house is so naked! I took everything down but was waiting until my housekeeper came this week to get a really good dusting before I add my V-day stuff. Maybe I will have time to dig through some of that and put it out tonight. You have officially inspired me!
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! I always say I am going to decorate for all the holidays but I never get around to it (other than Christmas).
ReplyDeleteIt's all super cute. I love the banner.
ReplyDeleteOMG your mantle is beyond adorable. I love it. From close I can see so many details and cute love-sy knick-knacks. I love the pineapple, banner and pillows. I love that you added other little love-inspired accessories, elsewhere in the house! I want to do mine, now lol.
ReplyDeleteDecorating for Valentine's Day seems as if it would lessen some of the "let down" of taking down the Christmas decorations.
ReplyDeleteYour Valentine's Day decor is so "love"ly! Love it and you, sweet friend! xo - Brenda // ChattingOverChocolate.com
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the house looking drab after the holidays. My holiday decor started in mid October with Halloween and it was non stop after that. It took a while to get back into "regular" home decor and if I don't hurry I will miss Valentine's Day. Thank you for the beautiful inspiration!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! That heart pillow is adorable...I doubt I'd be able to keep my 7-year-old from stealing it for herself. Thanks for the tip on the PierOne sales trends, too!
ReplyDeleteLove these ideas! I've never decorated for Valentine's Day, but this year I just might with your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteYour Valentine's Day decor is lovely. You've added tons of great elements to really make it fun. Thanks for sharing at Snickerdoodle. Pinning to my Valentine's Board.
ReplyDeletehow adorable is your V-day decor?! We've got nothing... lol
ReplyDeleteYour decor looks so lovely Andrea, it just oozes love and comfort. We're also prefer celebrating our love throughout the year rather than on one special day, but it sure looks fun to decorate for Valentine's day
ReplyDeleteLoving your Valentine day decor and your philosophy of showing love every day not just on V Day. Very true!
