TBB ASKS ~ FALL 2.0

Fall makes me wanna twirl around 3 times in my favorite Shirt with a PSL in a pumpkin patch and yell Happy Fall Y'All real loud but I’d get dizzy and probably trip over a pumpkin, lol. But I can do our monthly TBB ASKS and rejoice in the Fact that’s it’s all things Fall 2.0! 1. Favorite Fall Color? Rust

2. Apple Cider HOT or COLD? Both, but HOT more.

3. Caramel Apple: Yes or No? YES but no nuts on it, just good ole' caramel.

4. Pumpkin Doughnut or Apple Cider Doughnut? MMM you think I'm gonna say pumpkin don't you and of course I am over the moon for the Pumpkin Spice Krispy Kremes but A warm apple cider doughnut cannot be beat.

5. Long or Short Cardigan? An In-Between, this is one of my favorites and look it's rust!

7. Orange or White Pumpkins? White, used to be orange and I still like orange but I am decorating with White to go with the new house color scheme. I better say green and Blue too!

8. Hayride or Bonfire? Bonfire! Hayrides are fun but knowing me I end up with Hay somewhere odd. Sitting around a fire on a crisp Fall evening is so relaxing but it's hayride pics I have. LOL.

9. Favorite Fall Baked Good? So many, so little time on the pumpkin. Yes, all my pumpkin concoctionss and purchased goods are to die for and you can see all those delights in my RECIPIES TAB but to me, Fall is also the season of nuts so let me tell, these Toffee Pecan Dream Bars are a winner too!!

10. Most anticipated Fall activity? Besides the trip with Mr. Nine Up North in a few weeks.... with a trip to my favorite bakery in all the land......

......I'm doing it now..in Nashville with my peeps. You'll find me in my sleeveless dresses and cowboy boots this week...cause hot.....I'm sure you'll see the stories on insta HERE when the girls teach me. LOL

TBB ASKS ~ SCHOOL THEME

Here we are again with the becoming ever so popular TBB ASKS. The first Monday of every month, The Blended Blog ladies and I ask a series of related questions and we all link-up the answers. That title picture is the first day of 
Pre-school!! Gotta love the apples, it was the 1970's ya know! 

While I am usually a little sad about time flying so fast and the first of the month coming around quicker and quicker, I'm super excited for September to be here, cooler weather, bootie and pumpkin delight and this month is a super fun theme: Back To School! Our kids in Indiana now go back here the first part of August and our youngest started on Aug. 4th but this is the time of year I always went back so it was fun to do some school days reminiscing. Lots of Throwback Photos today!

1. Did you Love School or Hate It? Most Days Loved It!

2. School start before or after Labor Day? After..and Speaking of HAPPY LABOR DAY!!

3. Wake up? Eager Beaver or Slow Poke? Eager Beaver...still am

4. Favorite Breakfast? Oatmeal

5. Favorite Cereal? Raisin Bran...still is

6. School uniform or no uniform? No Uniform, which of course, I loved as I dressed to the hilt every day. However, I am a huge proponent of uniforms and even wrote a thesis about it in college.

7. New Outfit for first day or no? Um....ALWAYS!

8. Walk to School or Ride the Bus? Ride bus til I could drive

9. Backpack, Tote or Messenger Bag? Tote Bag...this brocade bag was my favoite!!

10. Eat school lunch or pack lunch? Both but packed a lot

11. Remember the little milk cartons? White or Chocolate? Chocolate

12. Paper Bag or Lunch box? In elementary: Holly Hobbie Lunch Box, in High school, when did pack, a paper bag but they were pretty ones my mom got and she would write notes to my friends on them.

13. Favorite thing to do at Recess? Swing

14. Favorite Back to School supply item? Critter Sitters Folders..supplies was my favorite thing about Back to School.

15. Chalkboard or Dry Erase Board? Good Ole Chalkboard

16. Regular Pencil or Mechanical? Regular Ticonderoga #2 all the way.

17. Homework as soon as you get home or after dinner? I'm Type "A" remember, so it was as soon as I got home.

18. Favorite after school snack? Soft Batch cookies

19. Favorite after school show? I don't remember as a little girl because I think I went outside and played but in MS & HS, it was my soaps as my mom would "tape" them for me.

20. Favorite subject in school? Math, although I would go on top get a degree in Social Studies education. In Jr. High I feel in love with Calligraphy.

21. Least favorite subject in school? Will I sound like a nerd if I said I liked them all?

22. Name of your best friend in High School? Rolonda...I still see her form time to time, our kids went to the same school and I still adore her!! Her nickname is "Rolo"

24. SAT or ACT? SAT

25. Favorite year in school? 3 Way Tie: 4th Grade, 2nd Semester Junior and Senior

26. Class Ring or No Class Ring? I had a beautiful class ring with diamond chips, it was small and dainty, not big and bulky. I basically just got it to get one as it was kind of cool back then. It ended up having no meaning to me at all so I sold it on eBay. Someone had the nerve to tell me in message on Ebay that I would regret selling it. I have never regretted it, lol.

27. Attend or Not Attend High School Reunions? No Way José

IT'S QUESTIONS TIME with TBB ASKS

Oh yeah here we are with our new series: The Blended Blog ASKS!!! How fun is this!! We are going to learn so much more about each other. Each month on the first Monday of the month, we'll have a theme and link-up to go with.  

This month's theme is Summer and so while we're still digging it, let's get to it and answer these summertime most anticipated questions!!

1. Pool, Lake or Ocean? Pool all the way! I even wrote a post about it a couple years ago called Pool Dreams and now that dream is coming true as we are installing a pool next Spring at the new house.

2. Camping, Cottage or Hotel? Cottage or Condo on the Lake 

3. Favorite ice cream flavor? Lemon

4. P.J's, nightgown, T-shirts/shorts or Birthday Suit? Actually loose tank top & shorts

5. Favorite Summer beverage? Vitaminwater Zero~Lemonade Flavor

Maybe this one has vodka in it...maybe

6. Would you rather be hot or cold? Cold because I can put on layers, when I'm hot, like overheated, I'm miserable. I HATE Being HOT!!!

7. Sandals with heels or flats? Neither...wedge sandal

8. Shorts or skirts? I've always loved skirts in the Summer. I wear shorts around the house.

9. Sit in the sun or the shade? Sun baby! But after a few hours, the umbrella is my friend.

10. Water, Tea or Soda? Water, water, water

11. Favorite Summer Fruit, Vegetable 3 way tie for fruit: peaches, strawberries and watermelon. Veggie is fresh green beans.

12. Sunrise or Sunset? Sunset!! Mr. Nine and I are suckers for beautiful sunsets.

13. Bike ride or walk? Walk. I'm a walker, always have been. I shoot for 5-7 miles a day. 

14. Winery or Brewery? Winery

But wait..I like a brewery too!!!

15. Garden or No Garden? No Garden but we kind of want one, just not the work. True story: growing up my dad had a HUGE garden and when I was 11, I had my picture taken for the newspaper with his winning cabbage...biggest in the county, it weighed over 30lbs!

16. Big Summer Concert or Music in The Park? Medium size, lol. Like, our County Fair

17. Favorite cookout food? Pasta Salad

18. Dine Indoor or Patio? Patio...preferably a rooftop patio. 

19. Favorite Summer destination? You know, our Favorite secret Michigan BEACH town! LOVE the Beach!!

20. Big Theme Park or Local Carnival? Local Carnival, but more like our BIG County Fair, not 
a rinky dink!

21. Drinks Blended or On the Rocks? Blended Baby! BUT in moderation as watch the calories, lol!! When the new house is done, you're all invited for blended drinks by the pool. I'll try and match the drink to your swimsuits, lol!

22. Popsicle or Freezie Flavor of Choice? Um Wine Freezie, no I'll just say the red ones. 

23. Hot Dog or Hamburger? Burger Baby!!

FRIDAY FAVORITES....HELLO AUGUST EDITION

Don't be Blue, Summer may be coming into it's Dog Days...but Glorious Fall is coming dear friends!! The season of Love and pumpkin and vests and hot drinks and well, I could go on and on. Right now let's focus on soaking up those last precious days. For me, its relishing in time before my boys scatter and I go into "Back to School" depression. At least I have baby boy and the Fighting Irish to keep me focused on all things football and picking out new house decor..whoohoo..speaking of, what are your thoughts on......

1. A Navy or Grey Kitchen Island? Help!
On Wednesday I showed you some decor and that I'm accenting in some blues and navy. Now is where i need your help...A Navy or Gray island. The rest of the cabinets are white but I want the island to be grey or navy. What do you think? I know you all have great taste so give me your thoughts!

2. Cuff Bracelet
Here is an overlooked FAVORITE piece from this year's #NSale: A cuff bracelet from Treasure and Bond. I love cuff bracelets. I wear them at least 4-5 times a week. This real leather stunner is going to be a favorite piece I am sure!

Yep, this girl loves the classic look of Black and White and this is one of my favorite outfits and favorite gingham wedges. Love the asymmetrical hem of this lightweight summer sweater.
