TOMORROW, TOMORROW......MY BIRTHDAY'S TOMORROW

The sun will come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow they’ll be sun! I’ve been singing that song a lot lately for several reasons, one being that my birthday is tomorrow! 49! Can you believe it? I sure can’t because in my mind I’m totally 25! And my sweet Mr. Nine calls me Annie, so this could really be my theme song right now considering that I’m ready for all the sunshiny weather and for this pandemic to pass and bring sunshine into all of our lives.

I got this gorgeous Jumpsuit by Tahari from Nordstrom to take on my trip to Florida for a lunch down there with my sweet friend Kellyann and since that got postponed, why not just wear it now! One of my sweet college boys got these pictures in a deserted alley the day before the traffic ban went into effect and I love the way they turned out. It was a little windy and normally wind is not my friend, lol, but it created the perfect Hollywood wind affect, LOL!

We are so happy to continue to bring you Style Six and we will bring our best looks even if they are shopped from our closet or recycling from the past. just happy to keep some normalcy from y’all! Now, if you don’t mind, I’ve already begun celebrating and I’ve got some vodka spiked lemonade to make, my friend Kellyann will get that, and I’ll explain more later! Cheers to all you March, April and May birthdays that may not get to celebrate the way you want to! We’re going to party hardy when all this is done!

MY BIRTHDAY PIE....KEY LIME

Today is my Birthday and this is my Favorite PIE! I have been a Forever fan of Key Lime martinis. My mom went to a get together with her friends several years back and had the most amazing Key Lime pie so she decided to surprise me with it one year for my birthday! Well, can I tell you it’s probably the pie and dessert that I look forward to most each year! It is now a tradition. You guys, I have had a lot of pies, but I have never had a Key Lime pie as good as my mom’s! We think that it is the Nellie and Joe’s lime juice, which is like no other, as well as the sweetened condensed milk. If you like Key lime pie, this is a must! And the simplicity and ease of making it cannot be beat!

Throwback Cheers with my favorite Martini!

What You'll Need

Mom’s Key Lime Pie
INGREDIENTS
Graham Cracker Crust
1 1/2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup sugar
6 Tablespoons Butter, melted

Pie Filling
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
3 egg yolks
1/2 cup Nellie and Joe’s Key West Lime Juice

DIRECTIONS

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. Combine crust ingredients and press into a 9” pie dish. Bake crust for 6-8 minutes. Combine condensed milk, egg yolks and lime juice. Blend until smooth. Pour filling into pie shell and bake for 15 minutes. Allow to stand 10 minutes before refrigerating. Just before serving, top with whipped cream and garnish with lime slices.

Even if aging can be tough and frustrating at times, life still gets better with age!!

As you may know, yesterday was suppose to be spent shopping and lunching with my sweet mama but a darn dump truck running a red light nixed that but She's ok and thank you for your thoughts and Prayers! Well hit the stores next week when she feels better! Tomorrow, I am having lunch and more shop time with a dear friend. Today, I am spending quietly to reflect on my blessed life and tonight Mr. Nine is taking me to the restaurant voted number one in the state, which happens to be 10 minutes from our house. I cannot wait to take my time getting all dolled up and have a wonderful birthday meal with my man!

HAPPY TASTY TUESDAY!!

TBB ASKS ~ ALL THINGS SPRING

Not only it is the ever-fun link-up: TBB ASKS, it is also my BIRTHDAY!! The above picture has me majorly reminiscing about last year's said birthday as we did it up grand style in Vegas. Little melancholy this year; Missing some dear friend(s) and 2 boys on this birthday. It'll be pretty low key with a brunch yesterday and my favorite Ham and Beans and Key Lime Pie my mama made for our dinner tonight.

Let's get to the questions of the month, make sure you visit the ladies linking up and their fun Q&A posts.

1. What 3 colors remind you most of Spring? Coral, Blush and White.

2. What is the first thing you’d add to your wardrobe in Spring? A cute lightweight sweatshirt, like the floral one I showed you on Friday.

3. What is the first wardrobe item you ditch in Spring?
My Beloved Red Coat.

4. Who mows the grass where you live? Mr. Nine til said Mowing son gets home from college.

5. What’s Spring Like where you live? When the Trees are in bloom, this is the sight and it's beautiful but doesn't last long.

6. What’s Your favorite thing about Spring? Going to the Greenhouses with my mom to pick out our flowers. I've done posts about it called Picking Posies and May Flowers.

7. Are you a Spring Cleaner? Not this year, keeping new digs mighty tidy!

8. Are you a Baseball Fan? Depends on the week you ask. Northern Indiana just isn't made for Spring Sports...most of our games are so miserable weather wise...so Only if our son is playing or the Cubs on a GREAT weather day..ya know where you don't have to wear your winter coat, hat, gloves and wrap in 3 blankets.

9. Tulips or Daffodils? Love them both equally because they signify the blooming of Spring. I do miss these in our old back woods but I'll be sure to paint some bulbs in the new woods.

10. Favorite Outdoor Spring Activity? Walking!

11. Flowers in the Ground or in Pots? POTS!!! I love filling containers...this is the back porch corner a few years back but we now have more spots to plant in the ground so more digging in the dirt is fine by me.

12. Favorite Bird? Hummingbird..it was my grandma's and is my mom's favorite too.

13. Car Wash or Wash Vehicles at Home? Growing up it was always in the driveway but we usually go to the car wash, which you my know I have  a phobia of, so now that our garage has hot and cold spigots, I may be back in the driveway, lol.

14. When Do You pull out Your sandals? When the temps get above 50 and the sun is shining. I have already put most of them on the shelves but was definitely premature with this cold weather.

Champagne from the Champagne trolley in Vegas..Birthday last year!
