DAISIES AND LEATHER

I don’t know about you, but there’s something about daisies and leather that just conjure up such a Boho vibe! This outfit had me thinking concerts and festivals where you tote the perfect Crossbody bag for all your little essentials, all hands-free for dancing, eating and drinking all kinds of goodness!

Now, I know we can’t do these things right now, but I can tell you that a great crossbody purse has come in handy at the grocery store to be hands-free, so I don’t have to worry about a big purse. The concerts and festivals will come again, and I know I’m excited about shopping trips where I’ll definitely want to be hands-free to do some serious shopping! FRIDAY FAVORITES....JANUARY GO AWAY EDITION

K, can we just be done with January already? This week was in the 50's, rainy, dreary, foggy, blah!! Let's either snow pretty flakes and be cozy or warm up with sunshine so I can read on the deck. In the meantime, we will chill with the youngest, do a little binge watching and maybe some healthy food prep. Here's to your weekend sweet friends!!

1. Meeting MY TBB Sisters this Spring!
I've had a goal of meeting a fellow blogger in person but BAM~times that by 12 come Spring!!! I am over the moon to say flights and rooms are booked for Toronto and I get to meet my Blended Blog sistas. First round of fun: Drinks and a BIG Hugs and I bet side splitting laughter galore!!

5. Shakeology
I am not a fad diet girl or a meal replacement girl. I am a eat less, move more type. However, these past 2 years, I did the Beachbody 3 day Refresh 3 times. I even did a post on it HERE and I was so very impressed. 

Wanting to jumpstart my healthy eating and trim the sweets pounds from the holidays, (I cannot believe I am telling you this but I gained 8 lbs...Eek!!) I bought the variety pack of their shakes. So Delicious. I even mapped out everything I'd be eating for this week and am proud to say, I did not deviate and feel great. 

I do not sell it or sponsor it, just love the product. I simply bought it online and the taste is soooo good! I had one shake a day, lots of water and healthy eating with no sugar.

But this weekend I will eat ONE cookie.....K, I said it. Now go enjoy!!

GAL PAL MY REFINED STYLE LINK-UP

Look-y here at my Gal Pal Laura and I in our little white dresses. Little did we know we both bought these online about the same time. I thought it would be fun to have us both model them and post for this month's installment of My Refined Style. Laura from The Horton Family also got me the fab necklace I'm wearing from a boutique in her neck of the woods down south. Love it so much that Laura got me a couple more to give to my friend, Tami and my mom. I just love the metallic sandals Laura paired with this. Cute as can be!!

FRIDAY FAVORITES....Come on Spring!!

Ok, it's official, at least in Indiana: April, you are daRunk!!!!!!!! What are you doing to us Mother Nature....sipping too many of my cocktails? Do.Not.Like 22 degree wind chill, snow piling up on my daffodils. What? I refuse to pull the Winter coat back out. I want to wear my little Spring dresses, I want to sit on my deck reading in the sun, bring the real April won't cha. This is nuts!! Yet, no matter how yucky it is, it is still warm inside and in my heart over all this Friday Favorites goodness. 

I hope the weekend treats you right friends and the sun shines on your pretty faces!! 

1. Friendship in the Mail
Blogging has enriched my life so much!! The biggest way as many of you know is the wonderful friendships along the way. My sweet, sassy and gorgeous friend Laura who has been successfully blogging friends for a DECADE over at The Horton Family sent me this box of goodies in the mail. And getting and sending mail is one of my all time joyous things!! Isn't is crazy we have never met in person but this gal pal has my number...all my favorite goodies!!! So ME and so much gratitude for friends like Laura: supportive, understanding, compassionate and soooo much fun!!

2. Chicago Shenanigans
As I mentioned last Friday we headed to Chicago last weekend for my Birthday and a little R&R with our youngest since the older two were away on Spring Break, We shopped, ate fabulous food including this tomato, house made mozzarella and aged balsamic salad, and enjoyed the only gorgeous day this week on Sunday.

No, little Nine does not have Champagne like us, it's Ginger Ale, although we thought the waiter was serving him the Champs, lol

4. Athleisure 

According to In-Style, Athleisure is what designers and retailers are calling clothes that fit a somewhat broad category of being appropriate for either athletic or leisure pursuits, or both. For me, I've just always called them "cute, comfy clothes" I got this "Athleisure" poncho at a Boutique in Chicago by Heidi Hess and am obsessed. It's like sweatshirt material. Oh comfort joy.

5. Eggs Benedict 
Remember when I talked about all the Things I've Never Done and one was never had Eggs Benedict. I did it, I did it and I am HOOKED on Eggs Benedict!!!!!! You all are so smart that said I needed to try it including Mr. Nine who knew I'd love it!!
