FRIDAY FAVORITES.... The BIGGEST PUMPKIN EDITION

Oh my goodness you guys, the first three days of this week were literally picture perfect Fall days; crisp mornings, and daytime in the sunshiny 60s! I was hoping for that weather this weekend as we are on our leaf touring vacation but as in most years, rain and winds that make the rain sideways are predicted up north. We shall make the most of it since it includes a fall parade, lots of hot cider, pumpkin donuts and seeing the big pumpkins! Heck, knowing how adventurous Mr. Nine and I are, we may even go for a hike in the rain! See Last year's adventure HERE!

1. Giant Pumpkins
Kids, per my Front Porch, you know I love pumpkins! And I especially love a giant pumpkin contest! I am probably viewing the biggest pumpkin in our Lake Michigan town as we speak! Here are some of the winners from the past! Love having my picture taken with the big ole pumpkin!!

2. Boy Time
It is now rare that I will have all three of my boys’ home at once so I will take any opportunity with any of them whenever I can get it even an extra son or two! One of our boys was home for Fall break this past weekend and brought along a fraternity brother with him! We had a ball doing all the family things! We even topped off my home cooked Sunday meal with pumpkin spice ice cream from our new local creamery!

Of course, I’m loving my porch for pumpkin picture opportunities but when I can go to a local town and find cute pumpkin displays that makes me happy too. Here is one of my pretty new bat wing sweaters in the rust color (I showed you HERE last week) at a cute display in a local Amish town!

FRIDAY FAVORITES...MEMORIAL DAY EDITION

Happy Kick Off to the Memorial Day weekend sweet friends! I am super happy to have this week behind us. It’s kind of felt like every single person in our family, including the dog had appointments this week! Super excited to get to the three-day weekend with my family and I know you are too! BUT darn rain forecast and we have a Vineyard Party tomorrow, so I'm staying positive...rain stay AWAY!!

1. Maurice's Surprises

I’ve told you before how our local mall, that is five minutes from my house, barely has any stores left in it but in one wing there’s one lone store left which is Maurice’s. I remember shopping there a lot many years ago but rarely find myself in there these days. However, after seeing so many things that looked darling in the window, I decided to go in and have a little try on session and some really cute things came home with me!

My favorite, has to be this dress! The fit is fabulous, and I really love the gray colored wedges that I got too!

I love crisp white shirts, especially in the summer, and the sleeves on this just could not be passed up! Plus, I have been a sucker lately for the tie fronts!

You know I love my Americana wear so the minute I saw this All-American tank top, I knew I would need it for the summer. They did not have my size but were kind enough to ship it free to my house

And the sweet associate had on this T-shirt which has little gold pineapples on it, so of course I had to have that as well, it was on clearance but still not in store, but they were able to find me one online as well. I think both of these outfits are so darling.

2. Cooking With Carlee Feature

Remember a few weeks ago when I made my Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies? So good. Well, know I don’t do Tasty Tuesdays as much in the summer, but you know I love to cook, and I am especially flattered with my readers make my recipes. When it is a dear friend who authors a cooking and baking blog, it’s even extra flattering. Not only did Carlee from Cooking with Carlee make my oatmeal raisin cookies, but she renamed them with my name on her blog calling them Andrea's Spiced Oatmeal Raisin Cookies!. How extra sweet is that! You make sure you go over to her BLOG and check out her recipes because they are true tastebud and family pleasers!

PS...PSA

And here is my PS, PSA! As many of you know, I had a squamous cell skin cancer removed yesterday. The whole experience went fabulously and it’s just a matter of healing now and hoping that they got it all. Dr. Moore from the DermaCenter MD is probably my favorite doctor in our county! He puts you at ease and we had big-time laughs talking about the blog, my mom, who is also a patient, and the importance of spreading joy! He is a true inspiration to many. 

I truly hope all of you have the sweetest and most precious holiday weekend!
