Ladies, you know what I'm talking about. Oh yeah. the rush, the deals, the beauty. Target beckons us!! It does, that red bull’s eye is the symbol of life. The epitome of our shopping lusts and addictions! lol.
You come out 1 hour later with a cart full and
you forgot the darn eyeshadow.
But you HAVE to go on the other side and that's where you fight some lady over the last Disco Ball with a pink straw cup for $3! She, as the more mature lady, decides it's not worth the fight.
You Holler a tiny "victory"!!!!
But then you will definitely look at clothes, someone left the "I don't sweat, I sparkle" tank on the end cap. Hmmm, what else is looking cute today?
So, of course, you go look to see if anything has changed. I mean, maybe they got some new outdoor rugs in.
Guess what you're doing tonight? Dying your hair, a beautiful shade of extra light natural blond (got it on clearance) and using a smoothing serum.
So, you grab a purple push-up OPI and hot pink sizzle Essie.
Well you don't have these shades yet.
Wait, you have to look at the accessories first! You need a Blue Fedora with a white band to go with your swimsuit.
9. I will not get a fu fu coffee drink, I already had coffee this morning.
What did I just do??? I'm good with Target, for awhile.......til next week or Maybe Friday!
Remember Her? Gosh, I miss her!! Mr. Nine always used to compare me to her at the holidays. Oh, the memories. Maybe I'll dress as her for Halloween this year. Bet Target has a costume!

I am not a Target shopper. I´m in the minority but I´ve never been a huge fan. It´s sort of like a discount store but they also try to maintain this ¨cool store¨ vibe. Like, pick a lane! I prefer my discount stores to be truly discount stores and if I want to shop at a high end store, then I will go to a high end store. I don´t know if that makes sense. I also don´t care for Target´s politics. Consequently, no Target for me! But... I enjoyed reading your post about it :). Have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteYup - this basically happened to me yesterday. I went to Target instead of Kroger because I was closer to Target - big mistake!
ReplyDeleteI feel ya in all of this! That's why I try to stay away as much as possible. Such a good post Andrea!

Too funny! Our little town just got a Target last year. It was so exciting!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy Target. Haven't been there in awhile.
ReplyDeleteYep, I fall into a black hole every time I go to Target! Such a fun post!

Oh I can SO RELATE! Ha! I miss that Target Lady too and hope you dress up like her one of these days! :)
ReplyDeleteThis use to be me but our Target has been plagued with lack of workers, trashy aisles and everything is locked up due to crime. I stopped going but I do miss a Friday night just strolling through every aisle. It use to be my guilty pleasure
ReplyDeleteSo true, so true!
ReplyDeleteYes, this is all so true Andrea. I love buying my toiletries and cleaning supplies there.
ReplyDeleteThis is so true! Especially the nail polish for me lol. I come home with colors I don't even need...cause I already have! hehe! xo

I rarely shop Target anymore... our store has gone way downhill and I can never find what I'm looking for.
ReplyDeleteWe are all relating to this post.... though I will say, Target is such a thumbs down for plus size clothes. mine literally has 2 racks. 2 RACKS!!!! That infuriates me every time.
ReplyDeleteThis is so me!
ReplyDeleteMy kids have grown up with us going to Target every Sunday after church for years! Now I might have one with me or just myself. I like to buy our groceries there.
ReplyDeleteI don’t have a Target near me, but I totally do this with WalMart and TJ Maxx! This was a fun read, and I’m sure many of us can relate. Running in a store for one thing…coming out with 20 bags and $200 poorer…
ReplyDeleteHa, ha! Love it. Except I have a teen daughter, so it is really hard to get out of there without stopping at Starbucks! I could spend hours in Target!

You have to admit that Target knows what it's doing. Good marketing. Good deals. What's not to love, LOL

Haha! This is hilarious and still rings true. Even though I don't care for everything Target stands for, if we're honest, all stores stand for beliefs I'm against. I still love to peruse the aisles for hours with a coffee, of course! ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blog
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun post and truly timeless!
ReplyDeleteThat was me, until Target showed their true Satanic leanings last year.
ReplyDeleteI don't go to Target as often as I used to and do much better with sticking my list. Every so often I will get tempted by something someone is sharing but I am prompt to return it if it doesn't work for me.

Target is a shoppers crack to be sure. I've actually resorted to buying what I NEED online and just run in and pick it up at the desk. I cannot be trusted to go further. Especially the home decor stuff. It's lethal lol. Love me some Target!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! We used to have a Target literally down the road and I went all the time! Now it's farther and I've saved so much money because I don't go much anymore!
ReplyDeleteYep! So accurate! Haha.
ReplyDeleteYEP! every dang time!!!
