Happy Day Friends. When I include sweet, cheerful pineapples you know it’s going to be a good day. Remember when we went to Washington D.C. and I told you about getting this adorable Jumpsuit at the Kate Spade store. Well, I’m happy to show it to you from these beach vacation photos. I would’ve liked a brighter background to highlight this precious pineapple print but the sand and beach air will have to do, lol
Can I first say, I’m still not over the death of Kate Spade. The ladies in her store and I talked about it. The pain she must’ve been tortured with. Makes me so sad. I am happy to see the awareness that has risen about suicide but I feel as with anything in the media, it wanes, it fades and there needs to be continued awareness and not swept back under the rug. Love, listen, recognize and help each other wherever and whenever we can. Don't let the intensity of this serious issue go away.
Ok let’s move on to my umpteenth jumpsuit because I love them so much. It was funny because my mom was telling me about this darling pineapple print dress she saw Rachel Bloom wearing on Kelly and Ryan. (Who I adore, BTW. Kel and I are tight and exactly 6 months apart.) Lol.
Well, lo and behold, it was a Kate Spade and the designs with this print were all over the store and so gorgeous. I can wear with flats like these Black Bow Slides, with chunky wedges like my Treasure and Bond ones or even a little barefoot on the beach, lol. I’ll also throw a jean jacket or cardigan over it in early Fall. The ruffling detail, waist tie sash and incredible feel of the wrinkle free fabric is AWESOME!
Throw in my favorite Black Bracelet and Ball Drop Earrings and ready, set, pineapple in style!

When we see people who seem to have everything take their own lives hopefully we realize that looks can be deceiving and that everyone is worthy of our love and care. Kindness can make a difference; just asking (and meaning) someone how they are and taking the time to listen when they respond is powerful.

ReplyDeleteLove that jumpsuit! It looks PERFECT on you!! I watch Kelly & Ryan at the gym. It took me a while to warm up to Ryan being on that show but I really like him now. Kelly is just the best. :-) The only KS item that I own is a sterling silver champagne bucket. I always liked her cheerful handbags and clothes too. What happend with her was SO heartbreaking. The same goes for Anthony Bourdain. I watched him on t.v. for years and he inspired me so much. Hopefully both situations can bring more awareness and help people who are struggling not get to a place of complete hopelessness. On a much brighter note, that beach looks fab! ReplyDeleteI was set on a Kate Spade purse and wallet, the classic black and white stripe...together about $500. My husband laughed. On one of my birthdays in downtown Chicago, he had the cab pull over to one of her shops, and they were gift wrapped and ready for me! I still use the wallet, it shows no sign of dying. I switch out the purse often.
