Holy
Guacamole! It’s Friday! Remember on Monday I was excited to show you my Newbie's Guide to Trader Joe's! Well, you were right when many of you said you loved the chuncky quac! I
literally could’ve eaten it all in one sitting…it is soooo good. This week
started with so much cold and flurries that pool install got halted again and
more Baseball games got cancelled. Finally, next week calls for our normal
highs, which is 60. I just keep on channeling it…like with my Floral Jumpsuit from Wednesday and fresh flowers around…
1. Fresh Flowers
It's just too darn cold to for any planting in the dirt yet so I continue to buy bunches of fresh flowers to keep in the house. They last two weeks or longer and this vase was a clearance Target item for under 10 bucks, I love keeping it on the kitchen counter!

Many of these pieces are older so just telling you what I was doing on these days.

The 2 Photos below were taken with AMAZON LOOK, I can ask
Alexa to take my picture. So great for when selfie's get old or I have no boys
around to take my pics. Mr. Nine got it for it for me for Christmas and we just
set it up, love it! You have to request
an invitation for it, but it is worth it!
4. Chunky Spring Cardigan
This Cardigan is so so comfy and they have great color choices (UNDER $20) and the white linen tee is now a favorite. Swapped pumps for Espadrille on the trip to Trader Joe's. These chunky cardi's are great for spring and summer because there is alot of breathing room and I feel they are kind of beachy!

RIP BARBARA BUSH
I am a huge fan of the Bush Family and their fierce loyalty, family values and message of kindness and love. I shed a couple tears this week over Barbara Bush’s death, aching for George Sr. to lose his wife of 72 years!! Once she said of her dear husband regarding the first time she saw him, “I could hardly breathe, he was so beautiful!”

Fresh flowers are always my favorite but this time of year they are especially fun. You have GOT to finish a home tour. This is my first time seeing that wall in your dining room and I love it! I need to know more about this Alexa thing. Going to check that out!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely have an eye for the good stuff! And how cool that you can get a picture when nobody else is around! Fancy! All your flowers are so pretty. Maybe I should grab a bunch, I need a little spring color in my life. All of these gray days are driving me batty! Have a fabulous weekend! xoxo
ReplyDeleteMy resolution this year was fresh flowers and I have kept it. Best one ever. That pineapple mug is calling my name. I may need to check my Target when my no spend period is over. I'm ready for 80 to come and stay (temp not age) we have been so up and down - 80 one day 55 the next. MEHHHH! What a cool photo service. XO babe have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like fresh flowers to brighten up any day, love that you brought them inside. Trader Joe's always has the best blooms, I'm waiting to see my favorite peonies there <3

Fresh flowers cheer me up too! TJ's has great flowers as well. I swooned over the Opal House collection too. Love that chunky sweater. They are great for this time of year! I hope your weekend is off to a great start!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, sweet friend! Those flowers are so beautiful, much like you!! We don't have a Trader Joe's too close by, but one in a neighboring city that I've been to twice and loved! Making a mental note to pick up that chunky guac the next time we have the chance to pop into one! I'm leaving this post so teary eyed after reading both her quote and the Barbara Bush's words on the first time she saw her husband! How precious is that?! Love it, and love you! Have a happy weekend ahead, my dear! xo!
ReplyDeleteFun Friday Favorites...say that three times fast...LOL. Love all of this. Those jammies are darling!!! I was late to the Opalhouse party until I saw it on Shelly's Instastory. Cute, cute, stuff. Um hello, that Amazon thing is super cool! I'll be checking that out. You always have the coolest stuff. Have the best weekend sweet friend. XO (OH...have I told you I'm in Nashville this weekend? Bridal shower time❤️)
ReplyDeleteFresh flowers do good things for the soul! So so pretty! Opal House stuff--oh my gosh! It's all gorgeous! I love it and want it all!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're looking beautiful as ever in all of your outfits. I wish I lived in your closet haha
I was so sad when I saw Barbara Bush died! And I love fresh flowers in the house!! I start buying them in the spring and our local Kroger has beautiful flowers. I love your wall in your home!!!! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteSarah at MeetTheShaneyfelts
Love that last outfit! That mug is also really cute. That is pretty cool about Alexa too. My in-laws have one and love it. I also told Chris that I was thinking about getting a tripod so that I can take outfit photos during the week when he's at work. :-) Anyways.. have a lovely day today and a wonderful weekend. YAY to spring arriving around here too!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved that you ended this with the blurb about Barbara and the quote. She was quite the woman, and truly inspirational!!

I am SUPER excited for your closet tour. And fresh flowers have been getting me through this crazy weather. There is just something about them that is so nice and cheery!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if my Alexa will take my picture!!?? So cool! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!! Fresh flowers are a favorite of mine. It's a great way to bring some spring inside. This one has been so rough and so delayed this year :( Loving your looks for the week and those comfy cardis. I hope you have a great weelend filled with some sunshine! Sierra~Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteI love your lunch with a friend outfit; I've been toying with trying Amazon Look myself. I need some new clothes. I too have been buying flowers. I did buy a potted tulip plant hoping the ground would warm up enough for me to transfer it outside but that's not looking good. We had some flurries and ice yesterday. It sounds like mother nature is just against spring this year.
ReplyDeleteCarnations are my favorite! They're so affordable and last pretty long too. Always love your fabulous week's attire and the chunky cardigan looks so comfy! Can't wait to see your walk-in closet reveal on Monday! I'm sure it's out of this world gorgeous! Happy weekend pretty lady! Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis
ReplyDeleteBarbara Bush was a classy lady. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I have been keeping my eyes open for a basket like that to store my blankets in. I love the that one!
ReplyDeleteI was sad to see Barbara Bush pass as well. Huge fan of hers. I love the Gillian and O'Malley line from Target!! They are always so soft and cozy. I love that new decor line too and was scoping a few pieces out the other day but decided to wait until we move to make any more home purchase. Unless something is on super clearance haha. Cant pass that up! Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love the OPalHouse stuff, too! Everything Target does is golden!
ReplyDeleteYou look great.
ReplyDeleteI have been adding fresh flowers to the house too because it's helping with the "lack of spring" lol. I completely forgot to add Barbara Bush to my favorites this week too. I just finished Sisters First (Jenna Bush's book) and loved hearing the stories about her. She seemed like such a force. I also love that quote by her! Happy Friday :-)
ReplyDeleteAmanda @ Cupcake N Dreams
That cardigan!!! I'm always looking for a good cute one!
ReplyDeleteSo are you loving that Alexa Look? I'm so intrigued by all the new gadgets out.
I am such a snorter. Everyone always laughs at me because I'm known to do great snorts with my laughing :) haha
Lol your holy guacamole made me want guacamole.
ReplyDeleteAlexa can take pictures?! And I totally wish I could have fresh flowers but the cats get into them. I can stick them way up on my bookcase but then I hardly see them.
ReplyDeleteLove your fresh flowers in the Target vase :)
ReplyDeleteI'm clicking over to that candle...it looks perfect for summer! Havea wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI was browsing the Opal House things online, and loving it all! So many cute things. I love having fresh flowers in the house.

Love the fresh flowers in your house and i need to spend more time in the home section of Target! My mom is visiting in June and we will get some new bedding etc for guestroom. i had to laugh at the last saying, as my hubby will say to my pups "Ah oh, look out! Mommy's snorting again! "

I can't get enough of cozy cardigans either! Yours is super cute! I love keeping fresh flowers in the house too. Lilies and carnations can last so long in a vase and really help bring the feeling of spring even when the weather is bad!
ReplyDeleteI never have fresh flowers in the house, but my sweet five-year old keeps asking his dad if he can buy me some. I think we should let him!! Cute outfits, Andrea! You look beautiful as always.
ReplyDeleteYou learn something every day, an today I learned about Amazon Look. What a great find to a popular fashion such as yourself! Does it come with a skinny lens. If so, I'm ordering one pronto! Have a wonderful weekend, dear Andrea.
ReplyDeleteHey Andrea! I have absolutely got a new phrase now - 'Holy Guacamole' has officially hit Cumbria's shores and I will be over-using it for a very long time. I had no idea about Amazon Look either - sounds like a great idea. My favourite outfit bits and bobs this week have to be your tassle necklace and I LOVE the PJs. I have also added Trader Joe's to my list of American companies that need to invade the UK - this is added on to Target, Taco Bell and J Crew (all stores currently in London - BOO). Finally, just have to say I have 'seen' Barbara twice in the flesh (which is quite something for a Brit) - as I went to the George Bush School of Government at Texas A&M - the year the presidential library opened - where all the living presidents attended, it was pretty impressive, loads of Hollywood A-Listers too. Barbara was so statuesque and impressive. J x
ReplyDeleteI love having fresh flowers in the house and buy them year round. Can't wait to get the tour of your closet. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove fresh flowers, I'm not good with potted plants - I always seem to kill them off!! Have a super weekend lovely lady. x Jacqui Mummabstylish
ReplyDeleteFresh flowers in the house always make me happy! Love that chunky cardigan, I think I'm going to grab it! Can't wait for the closet tour!!!
ReplyDeleteFresh flowers are wonderful, just brighten up the day! Our local Kroger has the best flowers. Cute outfits! The pictures that Alexa took are very clear and sharp. Wish she could clean my house...ha! I'm looking forward to the closet tour! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI just love that palm in the gold pot! I may need that in my home! Ha! I just don't know where I'd put it. Hmm. I really need to be better about buying fresh flowers! I just love that Target eyelet PJ set. I've been wanting a new summery PJ set! That quote by Barbara Bush is so, so true.

Love the fresh flowers! I really like the outfit you wore for lunch with a friend too.
ReplyDeleteIm loving the black and white vase with those colorful flowers. Target is so fun to visit. I never leave empty handed.
ReplyDeleteLisa
I just switched out my winter cardigans with my spring ones. So many cardigans - but I love them! I try to keep fresh flowers in the house too - we have to get spring where we can, right?
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous in all those outfits, Andrea. Even the lounging round the house outfit!
ReplyDeleteTarget really do have the best stuff, don't they? I loved having a look in there when I visited in January.
Hope you have a magical week, my dear pal!
