This is the first of
many home tours as I am in love. However, bear with me peeps, as I have a long
way to go decorating wise. I don’t want to put just any decorations up, I want
to take my time and pick things that fit really well in the spaces. In fact, we
are still without a lot of furniture because looking for just the right pieces.
No, it’s not a mansion
but we lovingly refer to this side of the house as the East Wing. In concept to the fact that in some big houses, certain wings of the house don't get used very much and this is true for us due to the fact that one is at college who wanted this bedroom and the back room is a pool room for pool hang out so won't get used more til summer.
The Christmas decor
I did have added beautiful reds with our grey and white but now feels a
little drab. Thinking of lots of neutrals and maybe a little slate
blue. My area of office/craft room is full of glam with beautiful; pinks,
golds, marble and white. I especially look forward to sharing that area with
you this year.
This East part of the
house, I had no problem with: Navy, Dusty blue, whites, silver and it's
all good and fresh.
While I
still want to add more pieces, it’s coming along. Starting in the bedroom.
This is where our on son stays when home and will double as a one of
he guest bedrooms if needed. I have linked up most of the pieces I've used below and many others came from HomeGoods or Hobby Lobby.
EAST BEDROOM
This Ink+Ivy bedding is a new favorite, so comfy, our son said it feels like a cloud!
Both of these signs are from Hobby Lobby 50% off.
This Ink+Ivy bedding is a new favorite, so comfy, our son said it feels like a cloud!
The wallpaper is from Home Depot and vanity lights from Shades of Light. Just love the middle cabinet
POOL ROOM
Saved the BEST in this area for last...The Pool room with the shiplap wall! People can come in off the patio and hang out and use this bathroom with the pocket doors. The floor is good for tracking in water and I am loving decorating it! The french doors open all the way and we can close off the other doors and make it an outdoor type space too. You may recognize the sign for a couple reasons: One is that it is the lyrics from a Cole Swindell Song. You may remember HERE when he replied to my tweet after I posted a picture of Mr. Nine and I from his Concert where we sat front row. LOVE him! Two is that these are made by the amazing talented Sister of Erin from Living in Yellow. We live in the same town and she has this same sign, both being country music lovers and all.
I had to have a stag
head for the room, a reference to "nine" of course and little
greenery adds charm to any space!
The white washed wood is perfect.
