Thank goodness for all things casual and for a short week!! Despite the heat returning and now rain for days, we're gonna do our football, get cozy and today make some baked treats. Being comfy and casual is a way of life around these parts of country Indiana. If I'm guessing right, while it is fun to dress up and go out, being cozy is your favorite way to be too. So let's do just that this weekend!! Happy Cozy Peeps!!
1. Ice Cream for Supper
When you find your self with no one at home on a 100 degree September evening, what do you do? You get an ice cream cone on your way home from work. One scoop lemon on a sugar cone. Now this is not just any ice cream, this was voted best in the state and besides the gelato we had in Italy, it is the best ice cream I've had in the world. It's a seasonal shop and closes for the season on Saturday so good thing I got it this week and I scarfed down that cone in the car in like 2 minutes.

2. Casual Saturday Mornings
As I have mentioned, our #9 plays on Varsity and JV so Saturday mornings are about getting Starbucks prior to the game and donning my comfy casual clothes. I couldn't wait to wear my new old school Adidas Superstars and new olive military jacket.
Entire outfit from Nordstrom except for the Notre Dame hat. Yeah let's NOT even talk about that double OT loss last weekend. Weekend Warriors Tee Here

5. Black Bean Salsa
I LOVE Black Beans, the fiber packed goodness make me happy! The fresh peppers & onion in this with lime and seasonings make for the perfect dip for tortilla chips or inside chicken fajitas which we had last night. I love this stuff so much, I even eat it with a fork.
Now, I need a Margarita!!
So easy:
Chop up red peppers, orange peppers and yellow peppers, add about 1/2 cup chopped onion, one can black beans drained, 1/2 tsp. cumin, a packet of taco seasoning and one half a lime, squeezed, Mix and chill in fringe, then get creative!! Ole`!!!
HAPPY FRIDAY FRIENDS....may it be fast and fun!!
