Woohoo!! The kid's Finals are over today and Christmas Vacation begins!!!! Mom and Dad still have a few days, but when it's the Holidays, it is so much more laid back. My mom, friend Tami and I were talking this week about how we had encountered some Grinches this week, people so stressed out over Christmas that they actually want it to be over. No, no, no people, remember the reason for the season, bask in the glow of lights and sing "Baby It's Cold Outside" even when it's not. Ain't nobody gonna Bah Humbug Christmas for me. It's magic if you just believe!!!
So, this is it beauties, last holiday weekend before Santa arrives! Get festive, do what you love and get your Merry on! Here are some of the things I was loving this week:
1. Pantone 2016 Colors
Pantone? What the heck is that? Seriously people, until a couple years ago, I thought Pantone was an a-cappella group, you know, like Pentatonix! I learned however, that it was a New Jersey color company who is closely watched by the design and fashion industry as a tipoff to what trends will be hot for the year. For over a decade they've just gone with one color, but this year they chose two. I am still on the fence and I would so love to hear your opinions on these colors.
The chairs are awesome!!

Your owl sweater - LOVE it!!! I love the pantone colors, but have a certain pull towards rose quartz...okay blush LOL - it's pretty perfect! I hope you have a great weekend girl! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday before Christmas, sweet friend! :) Swooning over those colors! ...and the hot chocolate guide has me heading to my cupboard for some yumminess in a mug asap! ;) Loving your attire this week (but that's nothing new, Miss Fashionista! ;)) Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, Andrea!! Enjoy celebrating our amazing Savior!! xoxo - Brenda // ChattingOverChocolate.com
ReplyDeleteYour sons are so darling! I love that sweater dress, it is sooo cute. Um, I'm definitely going to be using that hot chocolate guide, maybe even tonight! It's been 19 degrees here. Loving the snow for Christmas but brrr. I hope you have a most merry weekend my sweet beautiful friend!
ReplyDeleteI'm liking the rose quartz..mainly because blush has been my obsession this year! I am definitely saving those Hot Chocolate recipes--I have been CRAVING it lately! Hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend before Christmas:)

That owl sweater/polkadot shirt combo is my favorite! Even that pearl necklace. So cute! And I'm with you on the Pantone colors... I'm not sure what to think of them, but leaning towards the rose quartz more. They both seem VERY soft for the color of the year... we shall see! Have a great, merry weekend!!
ReplyDeleteCan I come shop your closet?? You have such gorgeous outfits! Wow, Pantone chose 2 colors this year...I'm not sure about them yet...I did really like this year's marsala!
ReplyDeleteLove that hot cocoa guide! It's inspired me to make a hot cocoa bar for the kiddos this weekend!
Have a fun and festive weekend!
I'm not a fan of serenity. I think the rose quartz is ok, depending on how it is used. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like rose quartz. Love your outfits for this week, yes to hot chocolate, and that wine glass is funny. :-) I hope that you and your family have a wonderful weekend!!
ReplyDeleteLove the hot chocolate recipes. Will need to try some. You are so right, we need to enjoy this time of year as it is so very special. Thanks for the reminder, I needed to hear that today. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeletePS-your sons are so very handsome.
I actually love both Pantone shades for 2016 well, at least I will love it for fashion but not makeup. I mean baby blue makeup reminds me of the terrible 80's OTT makeup which I will not be on board with. LOL! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, Andrea.

I'm loving your holiday spirit! I understand the holidays can be stressful for some people but no need to be a grinch. I definitely chose to ignore those people and focus on all the positives...Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI want that wine glass & that sweater! Super cute. I had never heard of Pantone until a couple people blogged about it a couple of weeks ago. I'm more into dark colors but I like the concept of blues & pinks together.
ReplyDeleteThat glass - he sees you when you're drinking! Hahaha! Also, I love the Pantone colors this year! I was not impressed with some of the past year's shades but these are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI am loving this roundup!! The color from Pantone are beautiful picks!! Think they are my favorites to date! Also, loving your looks from this week. Including that cute owl sweater!
ReplyDeleteHave an awesome weekend!

Girl, I am not into either of those colors. I feel like its an 80's revolution! I will try to deck out my daughter's hot cocoa. All your outfits are adorable and that Sears ad bahahahaha yeah today that would not fly but I think its pretty nifty. xoxoxoxo Amanda
ReplyDeleteI really wish I could go back to the days of a Christmas break! I'm glad you're not letting other people bring down your holiday spirit! Ho ho ho!
ReplyDeleteAhh I hear you, one of our clients at work was super grumpy yesterday. She needed a hug and a big smile.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute and festive work looks. I own the owl sweater too and love it. That "He sees you when you are drinking" saying is awesome. I need both the wine glass and especially that sweatshirt. Tis the season!!
Merry Christmas Beautiful!
OMG!!!! My mom makes me date pinwheel cookies every year too!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is so awesome!! Twinsies for real! I am so ridiculously excited about the rose color for 2016. Love all your outfits! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love those Pantone colors! Mmm! Hot chocolate is my second favorite holiday beverarge, aside from apple cider of course. :) Adorable owl sweater!

That owl sweater! I have a bird sweater from ON from a couple years ago and I love it.
ReplyDeleteI like the rose color, but I feel like blush has been crazy popular for the past year already and they're so similar! So I'm kind of surprised that's one of their picks.
I love that wine glass and sweater!! Enjoy this weekend, Andrea!
ReplyDeleteyour boys are stylin'! Must take after their fashionista momma!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, loving the rose quartz (so pretty and feminine) but really unsure about the other color (and it would probably look like crap on me).
have a wonderful weekend before x-mas!!
oh and that 'he sees you when your drinking' sweater is hilarious, I kind of want it!

Your sons look so nice and clean cut. Just the type I wish my gorgeous dancing ginger would date! Ugghh! Can NOT pick who they like/love.You are a doll! Happy Holidays! We SOOO have the same taste girlfriend! Loved all your festive matchups!!
ReplyDeleteI actually really like the pantone colours - both of them! I have a fondness fr pastels though haha! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying the week before Christmas - I'm just waiting on two more gifts that are still yet to arrive in the mail, eeek! But other than that I plan to relax and enjoy my holidays and Christmas as much as possible :)

I love the first pantone color! My bedroom used to be that similar color! It kinda of reminds of rose gold which is very trendy right now!
