ME & MOM, MELISSA & JOAN

 Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a terrific Mother's Day weekend. We took a road trip to see my husband's mom, sister and family and enjoyed a nice visit. Then yesterday, my husband took my mom and I out for breakfast to a restaurant called "Stacks", yep lots of pancakes served.

One of my mother's gifts that I gave her was the new book written my Melissa Rivers called 

"The Book of Joan."

It is a lovely and hilariously funny book about her mom, the beloved and side splitting laugh master, 

Joan Rivers.

My mother and I always admired Joan Rivers for her sassiness, style and humor. We also adored her relationship with her daughter Melissa as it so much mirrored our own. Fun, loving, and above all, one of the most cherished things in the world.

It was sad when I heard Melissa had lost her mom and I hope to have my sytlish and sassy mom around as long as I can.

Highly recommend this book. You will laugh, cry and probably relate!

 It was a yucky, rainy day but we did mange to get a few outfit pictures in. 

There's that classy black and white again..this time on mom!

My dress was from a store called Ross: Dress for Less. I adore the pattern so much, it is vibrant and fun! 

It was only $11.99 but is made so well and I can't wait to pair it with leggings and boots in the Fall.

 Shoes are Circa Joan & David Leeway Pumps in Coral. I got them 2 years ago at Macy's
