LOOKING GOOD.....PROM 2k16

Well, more Proms for us in the history books. With a freshman at home we will have a few more opportunities but for our Senior boys, this was probably it. Crazy how Proms have changed...so much more involved but still such a memorable night for all. Last year I did a post on Promposals as that still cracks me up but I so love seeing the creative ways the kids ask each other to Prom.

The first one went down in February and was a switch up..meaning since our son's date was asking him to her Prom at her school, she did the Promposal.
How adorable...look at all those suckers..and he won't eat a one..wants to "save" it as a memory, love that!!

Here they are in April...it was a glorious 75 degree day unlike this past weekend when it was 37.
Just LOVE sweet Mikala!! They are great friends and will be attending the same college.

Look how grandma matched

My favorite!!!

Another of our sweet boys had a great idea. He and his Prom date like to get Chinese on Sunday evenings. So, he ordered this fortune cookie ($15...yeah) to swap out for the real one at one of their Sunday Chinese nights. They were so excited and he was nervous that there are no pictures of them together after but what a cute idea!

Look how gorgeous these two are in the classic back and white. We had to take outside pics quick...Brrr. Poor girls!
Love this one from the back looking at each other...

One son had to leave earlier than the other so we made him put on his tux to get a couple family pics since they were having dinner at different times and spots.

Brothers...so cute!

Last Promposal here may seem a little perverted to some but you see, sweet Mikala is a college bound Golfer so the "Balls" letters were put on golf balls and if you look close there are little golf balls all around. She was so surprised and loved it.

Beautiful Royal Blue, Beautiful teens!!

All the kids and their friends went to Chicago for the day yesterday but will be home late. Can't wait to hear about all their adventures!!

Next up... Graduation...I'm so grateful for the joys these kids have brought us.....I'm gonna go cry now and eat gelato! Happy Monday!!

FRIDAY FAVORITES....Spring Finally Arrived in Indiana

That's right sweet friends, this girl finally had the sun on her face and some temps in the 70's...after waiting and waiting, we were bestowed with like a whole week of beautiful sunshine and warmth. This was a busy week after being gone the week before and I'm extra happy Friday is here. I hope the weekend treats you well with lots of love and fun!!

1. PEACH MOSCATO WINE SLUSHIES
How refreshing!! Now that warmer weather has arrived, I've got me a slushy in the sun craving. These are so easy and the cool thing is that you make up a big batch ahead of time, pop into ice cue trays, put the slushy cubes in freezer bags, then all you have to do is blend when ready!!!
1 Bottle Moscato
2 cups frozen unsweetened peaches
1/3 cup powdered sugar

In a blender or food processor, blend the peaches, sugar and a few splashes of moscato until smooth, blend in rest of moscato, pour into ice cube trays and freeze. When frozen, pop out cubes and put several into freezer bags. When ready to have a slushy, pour contents of bag into blender and add more splashes of wine to make blending smoother. Serve immediately with fresh fruit if desired. Then, go back in and make another batch!!

2. PROM CUTIES
First Prom of the season and these kids were absolutely blessed with the perfect day. 76 and sun, sun, sun!! Prom was held at a beautiful Inn on a Lake and we got gorgeous pictures.  Monday I mentioned the day I took these two for the Tux Fitting in my Day In The Life post. Just love them to pieces! More to come as another Prom in May with our two oldest.

3. Week's Attire
Was so busy on Monday after being gone that I didn't even get a photo,
went brighter this week....
Cardigan from Target, Scarf from Italy, Ruffle shell from Kohl's, Necklace, gift from mom

Skirt from Maurices, Cardigan from The Loft. Scarf & Belt from Kohl's

Cardigan from The Loft Yellow top from JC Penny, Charming Charlie Necklace

4. ESPADRILLES
I cannot remember the last time I owned a pair of flat espadrilles. Usually mine are lace up wedges. I had been eyeing all the Soludos espadrilles on Shopbop and decided just to get a basic leopard print from the Soludos website. I wore them around one day for errands and they were so comfy.

2 of my favorite things Sitting in the Sunshine and getting sweet little tidbits form my mom.

Mom has had a rough few weeks with the illness and passing of my precious grandma but yet she is still thinking of others like me and bestowing me with sweet cards and this sweet owl.
We should all Listen to Our Hearts!!!

Hoping your hearts are full of love this weekend!!
