FRIDAY FAVORITES...LET'S GO

Wow am I ever glad to see you Friday! It has been a whirlwind of a week and so glad to have nipped this ear infection in the bud. Off to a friend's house for an in-house clothing sale today and some mimosas. Chill time, here we come! 

  

 1. Time Spent Near the Water 

While we live surround by a river, pond and pool, there is just something so calming about a lake. We have some dear friends who live on a lake about 20 miles north of us in Michigan and we finally got a picture-perfect lake day last Saturday. Their property is adjacent to a golf course, so our guys got to golf while we went on a walk and chilled on the pier. 

The day ended with the perfect grilled chicken, roasted vegetables and margherita salad meal. I was so excited about the salad I didn’t even wait until she got the artichoke hearts and toasted pinenuts on it to snap a picture, I replicated the salad for you all for an upcoming Tasty Tuesday. This amazing dressing is from Meijer and you can use it as a marinade as well. And I was with my friend Jenn when she got this yummy salami at World Market. It was the perfect little snack to add to the snack plates to take our guys on hole number 11. 

2. Maren Morris's Dress

Sunday night was the ACM awards and I always love the performances and Reba McEntire hosting! I have got to say, this lilac dress from Maren Morris, blew me away! As you know, I am obsessed with this color!

NEW Drink

Oh am I a happy girl with energy to spare, lol. This drink fills you up and tastes delicious. I do a Venti triple espresso with ice. 2 decaf espresso shots and 1 regular. Then just pour in the caramel Premier Protein Drink. Delicious hack from my friend LISA via a mutual friend, Kim. Thank you ladies!

FRIDAY FAVORITES...EASTER EDITION

Happy GOOD FRIDAY Peeps!!! I just love saying peeps!! I do not like to eat peeps but I like to say it and admire cute crafts and treats made with them, LOL!! What a week, I had a tummy bug Tuesday and have you ever felt like you've been ran over by a Mack truck..that is how I felt.... But I feel better now as the sun is shining and despite rain for our Easter, it will be sunny skies in my heart because all of our boys will be home and we are going to my moms for her incredible traditional Easter dinner which includes Pineapple Upside Down Cake!!

1. Remembrance with Alex & Ani 4 Leaf Clover Ring
As many of you may know, Tuesday marked a year since my grandma's passing and I debated mentioning it on the blog but I loved so much about her, so I had to share this. One of the sweet things revealed about her were the numerous 4 leaf clovers she'd found and pressed in her Bible. I wanted to do something special for my mom so I found this Alex & Ani Four Leaf clover ring and wrote a poem to go along with it.

Spring springing up daffodils in our woods

A collage boy came home last weekend for a couple days then headed back to work at Vineyard Vines. Love this outfit. 

Goodie filled "Giant Eggs"..couldn't wait til Sunday, had to send.
